- With severe weather warnings and the rain lashing the track and turning it into a mudfest as storm Ciara hit Shropshire, Jeffrey Herlings, Glenn Coldenhoff, Shaun Simpson, Thomas Covington, Evgeny Bobryshev, Adam Sterry, Tom Vialle, Jago Geerts and a host of top riders slugged it out for victory in the MX1 and MX2 classes.

Im 43 now still ride but days like this as a teenager I always remember my mum saying ... Think again if u think there goin in my fcking washing machine Hahahaha
@Jim C haha our local track was Nxt to a canal which was always over flooded . but back then we thought !! If u come home clean u ain't been riding !
Awesome stuff. The mud absolutely sorts the 'men from the boys', but even more so at Hawkstone Park. An 'old school' motocross track, but gruelling and unforgiving, in these conditions. We were taught early on that with mud, you just have to 'attack' it. That strategy works - it's surprising how many good (or top) riders actually slow down in the mud. Great stuff! Thank you!👍😎
That race was great and considering Jeffrey doesn't even like mud the others should know what they have to expect this season. Have to say as Hawkstone is sandy it doesn't even get THAT deep. The same rain at Matterley should be the real hell. :/

@@kylehamilton7128 Tim is strong, but he got champ after the top three of '18 were injured and out for most of the '19 season. Jeffrey's on another level than anyone else.
@@mxrider4222 he was beating Febvre and cairoli before they got injured, can say what you want about herlings but he's injury prone
I think back in the day it was Gashon Rahier that had the same lap times in the mud as the dry stuff.
Best guy ever to ride a BMW GS100 in the Dakar he was quite small and had to run along side his bike the jump on.

Jeffrey crashed at start of first moto and came back from dead last to 3rd in a 20 min race, one sec behind Glenn. In a 30 min race Herlings surely would have won, even comming from all behind..
You should consider not using spoilers in the titles of your videos.
I feel like herlings run a 110 width tire in the mud... it looks less wide to the other 450 riders
