I do think the bags are probably quicker to produce and that bagging station looks like it works really well. As you know my reservation is cost of supplies and the inability to brand the bundles and put on your forest product operator license number. Looks like you’ve got good inventory now!
I talked to Phil, from Wisconsin and he makes his tags with all required information on them and can attach to the strings of these. I'm in process of figuring out what my design will be now. So it's possible 🤜🤛
Phil is a wealth of knowledge and he surely can help ya out. He and karen can both give good ideas on kindling pouches too if you wanted to go that route. Have a blessed day Brad!!! 🎉💪🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸
When i get a place to sell bags im gonna be ready to turn and burn but im gonna use a trash can til i need a wonderful bagging station like that!!! Great video jack, have a blessed day!!! 🎉💪🍻🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Larry and Robin have a nice home made set up too, it works perfectly for them. You could consider it as well, until you can turn over your profits to buy one. Have a great day as well bro 🤜🤛
My bundle sales have been insane this week as it always during the 4th. July is also the busiest bundle month. I see you’re wearing the TKP hat 🧢, you need to wear the “No Games Played” hat in a video still, even if it’s a Shorts video
Joe when I find it, I put her on bro. I wore it that one time to show Mike I wasn't playing games that day I had an entire full load of rounds , and I don't know what I did with it after that 😂😂 I've accumulated about 70 hats in the last year, they're all over the place. I promise once it's found it will be on a video 🤜🤛
Re investing is key. I’ve been getting some work done around the house too! Also doing some re investing! The WR bagger is sweet for sure. You’ll love the outdoor wood burner too. I wish Hope wasn’t so far away from us!
The honey do list gets bigger as time goes on.😂😂 I'll be excited when we get some of the stuff done tho too. I really like the bagger, it's super easy and I can't wait to start digging for the thermal pex and conduit to it and my shed💪 Inreally just can't wait to get the fore out of my house, and dust! Hope is a hike for the Midwesterns, we have a good bunch coming so far, it's gonna be a good turn out!🤜🤛 stay hydrated and cool Heath, it's soooo hot here already.
I agree with always reinvesting jack. all the money I make on the side I put in an envelope and save for the next investment. I find equipment is better at holding my money than I am. Love that bagging station!
I've never thought of it like that, the whole equipment thing holding it better than us. I'm gonna have to use that next time I buy something big that Taryn don't agree with 😂😂
I think it's a great investment for you. You'll have it paid off in no time and then more money coming in to expand your equipment (and maybe the occasional dinner date) God bless you for your promoting the H.O.P.E. event with York Firewood.
Yes sir, we'll keep expanding equipment over time, gotta take care of these upgrades around here first!!! Then we can get what we want again 😂😂 Ken found us a great place to help out and give back that does alot for those in need. I'm thankful to be able to try and promote it a little bit early. Hopefully we have a good turn out 🙏 Thanks brother.
I have been strictly using wrapped bundles but I am strongly considering adding bags to the mix. The primary benefit I see to bags is being able to sell irregular pieces at a higher profit margin that would have otherwise needed to be sold as bulk firewood. However, when I have premium smoking splits to offer, you can bet they will be on full display in wrapped bundles.
Everything you mentioned is exactly how I'm going to proceed moving forward. I still feel wrapped looks cleaner and more professional, especially for smoke/BBQ woods and like you said bags can accept anything versus having to have the nicer prettier stuff to wrap with. Bags cost more unless you buy 10k of them at once, so you do have to take into consideration the overhead Costs for the convenience of using bags too🤷♂️ bags are way faster tho.
Good morning Jack , sounds like you have a lot on your plate . Cool your dad’s lives in SC . I live in Spartanburg SC . I was stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB for 9 yrs . Take care buddy and stay safe .
@@inthebackyardwithdel438 man I have 21 years and little over 4 months to go until retirement 😂😂 hopefully by then I have a full fledge firewood operation somewhere on its own property 💪💪
I wish I would have bought the bagging station while I was at Wolfe Ridge Manufacturing at the Midwest Firewood Frenzy. Those bags look nice and neat stacked inside the shed/garage.
About to head out and make bundles myself buddy. Had to watch a little log cabin firewood first with the morning coffee. Hope you guys had a great 4th!
Thanks buddy, we purged our basement. 650lbs to the landfill 480 lbs to scrap yard And probably $2k worth of clothes, boots, and other household stuff to good will. 12 years of $hit we accumulated down there 😂😂 it's hot af already, stay hydrated buddy 🍻
So True Jack. Like myself take care of 1 another and it does mean so much to Me to do that. Yes Bob Nelson is a Fantastic Guy. I can not Afford a Splitter now so I am going to Look into a Bagger. I do think at 72yrs it's good for me and stay that way. It's also been Brutally Humid and Hot Also here. Meantime stay Safe, Hydrated and somewhat cool if possible. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Ron, have you watched outdoors with Larry and Robin? They made their own bagger using a piece of pipe. It's super simple, and possibly something you have laying around your place. It'd be worth looking into, if you're considering a road side stand. Then upgrade to the bagging station later on. I love Bob, super stand up guy, that's gonna be successful with everything he does in life because he cares about the small details. Which alot of folks forget about now a days. All the small detail add up to the big picture and he puts it all into perspective, rather perfectly 💪 Was 111°F here yesterday with heat index, gonna be the same today. Stay hydrated sir, and we'll see ya next week. Thanks Ron✌️
Great video Jack. I put my wood boiler on top of two large retaining wall blocks. I adjusted my height with a laser. And a lot of head scratching. My door to unit is perfectly set for me to load wood. I got lucky. That bagger is sweet. Stocking inventory great idea. Have a great week sir.
😂😂😂 once I dig for the thermal pex and conduit to it and my shed I'm gonna pour a 18 x 18 concrete pad that will eventually become an open sided pole building with the boiler set towards the back of it. I think you're the only one that picked up on that part so far 😂😂 1st week of September it should be here 💪
Congratulations on it coming. I said all that to see if I was correct. My outside ac unit was incredibly dirty. (Coils) I went inside and pulled my wood boiler heat exchanger out made my A coil so simple to inspect and clean. The wood boiler heat exchanger was spotless. (Lucky) Sounds like outside plan is great. If you want to see my setup inside invites always there. Be safe and have a great week ahead. Great content sir.
Bags are definitely easier to make, I still like the appearance of wrapped though. I feel they look more professional than the bags 🤷♂️ just my opinion Have a great weekend, thanks 🤜🤛
Another great video Jack. I'm really tempted to buy a Wolfe ridge bagging station. I have 2 racks at one of the convenience stores I supply with bundles. I'm going to try to get ahold of 20 bags somewhere, bag them, put them in the rack next to my wrapped bundles, and see if they sell better. If they do, I think I might change to bags.
I'm still gonna do both bags and wrapped, as I do think the wrapped bags look more professional and clean, but bags are definitely super easier and faster in my opinion. If you have to label them you can make tags to attach to the strings as well, I'm actually in process of getting my tags in order as we speak 😂 since Brad yelled at me, lol. Thanks brother 🤜🤛
😂😂 I told Brad I'd never take it off, since he gifted me the conveyor.. my round sticker is right next to his though, lol... I do have hats coming. Working on shirts too!!! Thanks buddy 💪💪

Hey Robert, happy Sunday sir. So the hope event is that event that York Firewood put on last year for the cancer non profit that is local to us right on the Stewartstown/ York Pennsylvania line. H.O.P.E stands for Help with Oncology Problems and Emotional Support. In my #68 video I went up and talked with Ken Anderson, Will Wolcott, and even the director Mrs.Barb about what hope does for it's patients as well as how forewood helps benefit some of the things that they can provide for patients as well as immediate family members affected by cancer. They really do alot of good things for folks, and in that video, was just trying to help promote with Ken and Will to get the word out there there's a firewood charity event going on September 13, 2024 at the Hope Haven location. Thanks for stopping by ✌️✌️
Hey Matt, yes I am still gonna do both, I'm actually going to make a new stand , very similar to what Outdoors Engineer TH-cam channel made for his roadside stand. I want to have all options available out there!!!! Probably have my dad help me build that too when he comes up soon!!! 🍻🍻
I delivered 3 truckloads this week, had a customer pick up half a trailer load, and I got 30 bundles going to the store tomorrow, all campfire wood.
Right on Joe, you've been busy!!
Love using my Wolfe Ridge bagging system, sure makes it easy!! Thanks Jack!
It's definitely a super simple tool that saves so much time!!! Thanks Obie
