Thank you to Andrew Easton, and the entire Eastonmade team that made my purchase super easy and super welcoming while I was visiting the factory. I have a whole new perspective of what really goes into the equipment after seeing the fabrication process first hand, as well as what it takes to keep a well oiled machine rolling with all the great folks working in the office too.
I 100% agree that you cannot sense emotion through texts/emails, you can over the phone though.
Now Taryn needs to buy me the new version Axis 😅.
That’s definitely hickory & ash.
Taryn has to buy me a few more things before she can get to an axis for ya Joe😂😂
Looks great jack. Happy to see the axis fits right in. Appreciate all the support
I appreciate everything you guys do for the hard working men and women of the world 💪 Thank you so much!!
Awesome that Brad could stack the logs and I know you will love the Axis. Glad you were able to work with Andrew and get the deal done!!
Yeah , I'm still shocked to pull in the driveway and see two machines now 😂 I'll order logs from now on. Dumping trees over the years has really put a beating on the driveway where I process.
Great content Jack. Brad is a great friend indeed. Congrats on the new machine .
Brads a great human all around. Very thankful for the friendship we've made. Thank you Scott 🍻
Awesome you are all set! But put that damn snake away 😨 🏃♂️
You're gonna have to learn to love Jake 😂
Thanks brother🍻
@@LogCabinFirewood No way not enough beer at the liquor store to go near that thing. Lilly draws a snake picture all the time to scare me!
Awesome! Congratulations Jack you sure will love that Axis!!👍💪👊🍻
I still wish you were right last week with the tractor though 😂 that's still a one day. Thanks Jeremiah 🍻
Nice addition to your splitter family. Thanks for a great video.
Thank you, I'm super excited!!! Appreciate you watching ☕️
Congratulation on your new machine.
Bucket, thank bud. It's amazing so far!!!
Awesome, congrats on the new addition to the woodyard.
Thanks buddy 🍻
That's awesome brother congratulations
Thanks Mike ☕️
Nice! You're gonna love it!
Yesssss!!!!!!
Another excellent video Jack looks like 👍 things are all coming together for you nicely congratulations on getting a axis 😮😊❤
Todd, thanks. I'm super excited to have another cool tool here. I'll always want new toys, just sucks as an adult they come with a nice price tag nowadays. ☕️
Congrats on the axis and so happy for you buddy!!! Hopefully Jake enjoyed the walk in the sunshine!!!
Taryn takes him out and walks him quite often, I'm super stoked on the Axis. I didn't need it, but dang I've wanted it forever!!!! Thanks Wd☕️☕️
Nice addition Jack, hope you enjoy!
Definitely will enjoy, it's a dream come true over here!!!
Congrats. The new splitter will be a great addition to your operation.
I think so too, definitely a want not a need , but we work hard we play hard, buy what makes us happy 🍻 thanks
That hickory is very stringy awesome splitter
This stuff isn't that bad so far, besides at Brad's I've never had hickory here. I'm excited!!! Thank you brother ☕️☕️
Congratulations on the Axis, Jack!
Once you go Axis, you ain't going back, sis.
😂 I'm excited Ken, it's cool to have 2 machines here. I've walked outside and came home every day to look at them and told God how thankful I am for the opportunity's he's provided me. 🙏
Awesome buy Brother! You know you can't go wrong with Orange and Blue. Your bundle production will double now.
As long as I keep the log loads coning in, we'll definitely make some more progress. Thanks Paul 🍻
Congrats Jack! Awesome machine!
Thank you Will💪🤜🤛
Congratulations!!! Nice addition to your equipment lineup 👍 Can't wait to see how you put it to work. Not only can you use it to expand your bundle business, you can resplit with it too. Will be great when you get your outdoor boiler too for making heavy slabs for burning.
Thanks Lyle, I had a really good opportunity for a boiler at dealer pricing this week too. It was one size too small for what I want here though. I've gotta start doing some stuff around the house soon, so the misses doesn't get too mad, 😂 thanks brother ☕️
Congrats on the Axis! You’re gonna love it. Vertical splitting has changed everything in my woodyard! Especially my lower back pain😂 Take care Jack
Todd I've ran both, I like them both, I don't think anyone would go wrong with yours or mine. They are both great machines!!! I do know they make some pretty wood!!!! Have fun, be safe!!! Buy what makes us happy!!!
@@LogCabinFirewood Totally agree! I was on the fence about vertical. When this demo unit goes back I will definitely be thinking of one in the future. I can see myself having both vertical and a good horizontal someday like you have!
It’s good to see guys helping each other out . Most of the fire wood guys around me are hackers and careless about a quality product .
We all deal with those types, all you see around here is cheap wood too. But when you develop good clients yhat understand you're bringing them quality wood. You quickly separate yourself from the hack job weekend warriors. It takes time, but you're gonna get there. Good wood isn't cheap, cheap wood isn't good!!!
Congratulations Jack, Brad is good with the truck already 👏 , Your getting a Driveway full of equipment and wood, Stay safe my friend 🤘🏻🪵🇺🇸
He definitely is figuring out the controls, I'm used to an excavator, and that grapple is completely backwards from all my muscle memory is used to 😂
Thank you guys, you stay safe as well ☕️
Good job with the vid Jack. I was happy to hear you picked up the Axis. It looks like Andrew changed the log lift...doesn't look the same, and also they put a seat-belt style winch on it bc mine was a cable. I think that's evidence Eastonmade is operating with customer service in mind and not simply flipping machines. I know you will enjoy it. That worn area under the knife is evidence it was productive at OWB! Joe
You got a good eye Joe! They did retrofit the new style log lift to this machine, and I wasn't aware of the winch, but thats cool they changed that too.
The team up there in Canada is top notch. I was extremely happy to be able to grab the Axis, it's a great addition to my collection of Eastonmade equipment 😂😂 appreciate you stopping by Joe, means alot buddy ✌️
Congratulations on your new Axis!! Such sweet machines. You can definitely widdle down some really good pieces with it for sure! Have a good week 👍🏻
I'm really happy with it so far!!! It's a pretty cool machine even being a few years old. Thanks brother ✌️
Hey Jack , congratulations on the AXIS . Great machine . 👍🏻🪵
Del good morning sir, I'll be honest I haven't even fired up my 9-16 since getting this axis about a month ago. It's so much nicer on my back not having to lean over for anything. I'm really falling in love with it!!! Hope you're great and are staying cool, I know you're getting this heat we're getting too. Stay safe🍻
I totally understand about your axis . It is so much better to operate . Stay safe in this heat too my friend . 👍🏻🇺🇸
Very nice loved the video, logs and axis! Well done
Thanks you so much!!! I'm still super excited about all of it too🤩
Good Stuff Jack!!
Thanks 🍻
That's awesome Jack..
I couldn't pass on the opportunity, took from the tractor funds, but we'll get back to where we need to be for one of those one day too🤷♂️ thanks.
Nice score Jack👏🏻
Thanks Larry ✌️
Congratulations Jack on the new axis. Definitely one of the best splitters made. 🪵👍
I'm stoked , now to get off work enough to actually get outside and get to cutting 😂 thanks Bob!!!
Congrats on the both purchases! Nice splitter and nice logs!
Thanks Matt!!! Definitely an impulse buy. But gotta get what we want when there's a good deal to be had 💪
@@LogCabinFirewood yessir I think you did the right thing. Everything you purchased will make you money in the end!
Hi Jack. Happy for you bud. You’ve talked on an axis for a long time. Nothing wrong with buying used as long as the price is right. That’s quite the drive in a short time. You must still be up in the clouds, to get the axis and have logs delivered together. I’m glad you were able to get things lined up to get your axis. You’re going to love that machine.
Thanks Al, it definitely moved fast after I made my first message. I was really surprised 5 days later I was heading to Canada and picking it up. This was definitely a want, not a need purchase. But it feels great to have it here and have it to use to make nicer wood. Hope you have a great week brother ☕️☕️
Nice! I have one without the conveyor. Great machine; you will like it for bundles!
I love it already, it's for sure a bundle making machine!!! Thanks 🍻
Brad and Andrew are some genuine good people. Congratulations on the new toy
I tell ya, I'm very fortunate to have met each and every one of you. We have a very nice community that continues to help push each other and lift each other up. That's how it should be, we don't last forever, may as well help each other out when we can. Thank you, I'm super excited to go play with it more!!!☕️
@@LogCabinFirewood I’m happy and proud to be part of such a giving and positive group of wood hounds. Seems like everyone I meet and talk to in this group are all givers. Agreed the way more people should be
Congrats brother, that’s a great combo you have going now bud!
😂 I couldn't help myself man 😂😂
@@LogCabinFirewood I don’t blame you a bit, I would love to have an axis someday also.
That was a beautiful load of ash/hickory that Brad dropped.
It sure is!!!! Now to find the time to get into it 💪
Congratulations Jack!! Great splitter!!!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thank you David, coffee time for me, and maybe fire up the saw🤷♂️
Congrats on the axis jack, your set on splitters now!
Technically, I think you're right. I'm definitely set, but I'm open to collect more 😂😂 Tractor or something to help me move stuff around is next up. Appreciate you brother 🤜🤛
That’ll definitely help for the bundle wood supply! All the stars aligned! Lol, I typed that before you said it 😂.
😂😂 the stars definitely aligned for me 🤜🤛 thanks Heath
I spotted that sucker as soon as you walked around the back while filming Brad. Yessir Jack…congrats on that one buddy. Now I gotta go finish watching haha
Yeah I realized as j was filming the intro I kinda gave away the surprise 😂 thanks Mike
Congratulations Jack! That is a double win-win in my book! An ash and hickory wood Delivery and an Axis, both shared in the same video! Now you have Ash to make bundles and Hickory for heating wood - or smoking wood!
Brad was definitely considerate of my needs when I told him I was running short on my bundle supplies. Thanks brother!!! ☕️☕️
Congratulations on the splitter and finding a good log supplier. If you are ever in Southern Delaware and want to stop by my wood yard, let me know. I would love for you to put your sticker you gave me on my log splitter.
Howdy Cory, shoot me an email
Logcabinfirewood83@gmail.com
We can discuss me stopping by one day for sure.
It is definitely nice getting logs delivered. If I wanna cut I can, if I want to go eat, shower, grab a drink, cool off, whatever, I'm right at the house and can.
Thanks a bunch!☕️
Grapple truck!!!
Indeed!!!🍻
You'll absolutely love the Axis for making bundle wood. Plus now You'll be able to work around the rot and knots. As far as hickory goes, is very desirable as a smoking wood. I wouldn't sell it for less than $10 per 0.75cuft bag/bundle. I can tell that you are still jacked up with this new toy! If I ordered an Axis and it would be my only splitter, I'd have to have the conveyor and oil cooler for production runs and mobile splitting jobs.
Buy what makes you happy Jeffrey. For me I'm keeping both machines. They both have their places in the industry
Hey Jack you just described my trip to Eastonmade. It was seamless when I picked up my 12-22 last October. They definitely do a great job up there. Good luck with the new splitter my friend.
It really was an enjoyable trip, and they made it so easy. Thanks Bill 🍻
Congratulations on you're purchase of the axis you will like it, buy whatever makes you happy, have a good day In Maryland,
Thank you!!! It was a nice opportunity, so I had to jump while I had a chance to get something I wanted.
That's fantastic. You'll love the Axis.
It's a great machine!!! I'm super excited. Thank you☕️
Great video Jack! Congrats on the addition to the woodyard! I would love to have one in my yard for sure! Nice load of wood too! - Tim
Howdy Tim!! This was a long time want, I'm sure an axis would be a great addition for you too!!! Thank you
@@LogCabinFirewood it's definitely a want and not a need. My 12-22 does what I need it to. You just have to get a little creative sometimes.
Good morning, ya handsome devil. Joe might have log hauler Jesse, but you have log hauler Brad. Congratulations on the new vertical splitter. You moved fast on that one and made it happen. Pretty cool. Jake took me by surprise 😅, that was wild.
Morning Kenny, lol, I do have my own Log Hauler Brad now 😂😂 It's nice the logs are right where I want them and a really nice load. Now to get up have some coffee and to get to cutting!!! Thanks brother. A dream cone true!!!
Have him put two skids in opposite directions next time to keep a bulk of the wood up off the ground it will keep your saw off of the hot top.
Great suggestion, thanks 🍻
Awesome. Happy for ya and enjoy. That is definitely hickory. The way Joe is with oak, is the way I’m with hickory. Pain to cut, pain to split at times, it’s always heavy, even the day it’s ready to burn! Plus, the smell does nothing for me!
I'm not for the green smell of it, it's definitely distinguishable tho from the rest when cutting. I'll set it aside for my smoker buddies, and some for my self too. It's definitely a hard wood!!! Thanks.
Looks like you have a solid supplier of logs if you want to continue going that route. Also looks like bundle-grade wood will be way easier to get. It would be interesting to see a time comparison for a measured amount of wood between the two.
Definitely think I'll continue going this route when I don't have any to go cut on , or get anywhere. I'll have to write that down and try it eventually too for the time thing, I'm sure the 9-16 will out preform with having the multiple wedges vs, just having a single on the Axis. Thanks ☕️
Hey Jack! Congratulations on the Axis. I’m seriously thinking about getting a vertical splitter for bundle wood. The 22-28 with box wedge is the ideal machine for bulk wood, but I like the precision of the Axis for making “perfect” bundle wood. Hope you’re doing well my friend.
It's definitely a nice addition to the wood yard, and can make some really pretty splits so bundles look perfect!!!
Doing good here, work as usual, then more work when we get home 😂 .
Hope you're doing great too!!
Looking good, staying in North East tonight, dinner at steak and main
Right on, that place is great!!! Enjoy 🍻
@@LogCabinFirewood come on down, I ll cover your bar tab
@@mikemaloney2342 appreciate that. On my way to work tho.
Nice video hope you make lots of money I just sold my firewood business after 20 years it was time at 65 I will still watch the wood hound videos. Maybe I will still come down to the H.O.P.E. event this year and see if I can help out
Once this stuff seasons up, I'll definitely make out okay on this load. The hickory I split open was almost 50% moisture, the ash was right around 25% so it will be ready soonish!!! Hope to see ya at H.O.P.E. We'll need an army again!!!
The planets certainly did align when 3 of your firewood buddies told you about 2 used Axis splitters that Andrew took back to Eastonmade. The question now becomes do you keep both splitters for your firewood production? Congrats on the new to you splitter. I had no idea you had a pet python. Hopefully Jake gets along with your wood hound.
I've got no intentions on getting rid of the 9-16. It can pump out my bulk heating wood, while the Axis can make my nice precise wood for bundles.
I've had Jake since 2003, he's a cool snake. Vada doesn't understand what he is so she keeps he space . She's a very respectful little girl. Thanks buddy ☕️
I like a vertical splitter. I just upgraded to a commercial splitter. It be long time before can add anything different. That’s nice load logs. I think I like my Acumark better than perfect stick. It bends rather than breaks that plastic disk. Have a great weekend.
My plastic piece on my perfect stick is a flexible rubbery type of material. I love them more than the accumark😂😂 I get a more consistent piece out of them for some reason 🤷♂️ you have a great weekend too!!!
@@LogCabinFirewood I might had older one hard plastic ever time used it I break disk off. Have glue back on. I have took tape to the load cut yesterday but sure close enough.
Well Jack, congratulations on the New Addition of the Axis to your Woodyard. It's going to make great Bundle Wood. Like I said I am Small and only use Wood for myself, but thinking about maybe doing Bundles. Right now and in the Future just thinking. I have Tried to get ahold of Bob Nelson of Wolfridge but I haven't received a call Back yet. By the Way nice Log Length Firewood. That is the Way I get mine from a Local Tree Service. If you know of any Splitters Available, maybe you could let me Know. Stay Safe out there, and tuning in next Saturday. Ron From the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Howdy Ron, have you tried an email to Bob?
Bob.wolferidge@gmail.com
I'm small too, but I've wanted one of these for a while now, so it's just one more thing off the list. Next up is something to update the house, maybe a bathroom 😂😂
Bob was away this week. But if you message that email he will still get back to you fast.
@lillysfarmfirewood Thank you. I have Subscribed to your Channel. I enjoy joining in on the Helpfulness of everyone. Again Thank You, as that was Excellent helpful. Ron From the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Hey Ron, Wayne county here. Do you sell rounds? More specifically by the pickup load. Wondering on an amount $$. Any info appreciated.
Brandon
No Brandon I do not. Sorry I can not help you out.
Nice job Jack! My beat up tar driveway has been stopping me from getting logs delivered here... I agree with you on the text version of business, context and tone are hard to tell. The only thing I like about it is the permanent record of the conversation to go back to on questions later on. Awesome story on the splitter! I have goals to get something similar for myself in the future for now, I'll just be envious lol
I'm gonna try and stop having logs dumped here, and only placed, but free is hard to beat sometimes too.
Even here sometimes it's hard to read how some messages come across too, with context and tone. I think I'm just old school and prefer talking over texting. 🤷♂️
Don't be envious, if it wasn't for my real job I wouldn't have anything I have, firewood hasn't become profitable to me yet, it will eventually. It takes alot of wood and time to make money the right way with firewood, or any business. You'll get there, you can achieve anything you want!!!
@LogCabinFirewood do you ever worry about the weight of the truck and the load they bring? I did contact a logger and he declined my request due to my driveway said he didn't want to drive in because of the residential tar thickness
@@CentralMinnesotaFirewood I'm actually talking about that in the video I'm recording as we speak... my driveway is trashed from bringing in tri axles over the years, I'm okay with the wheels driving, I just don't want stuff dumped anymore. Dumping breaks up the blacktop alot faster than the wheels. Great question, you'll see me talk about it in 2 weeks. Next week is all about the wolferidge bagging station!!!🍻
hi there good show , did you trade in the other splitter , best to all john
Howdy John, nope, I'm keeping both machines. One for bulk heating, and the other for bundles. It was a "want" purchase, not necessarily a need but hey, we work hard may as well buy what makes up happy.
@@LogCabinFirewood getting a Easten made is like keeping money in a bank . good move . and fire wood off a OWB once owened splitter may be worth more , john
I should have him sign it next time I see him 😂 make it a real "collectible"
Jumpins. You seem to have a snake on your shoulders. 😳
Nice pile of logs there. That will keep you going for a bit.
And, nice splitter. Eastonmade are top notch splitters.
An Eastonmade Ultra would be my choice for me and what I do. Only my own wood I do. Don’t sell any.
Have a great day and it’s exciting to get new tools. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
I ran 765guys ultra in Indiana and it's a very nice fast machine, that you can still manage to move around by hand if you had to. These other machine I have are heavy!!! Tomorrow I should be halfway thru the logs, weather permitted. 😂😂 thanks 🍻
👍🏻👍🏻👋👋🥃🍺
Do you like the accumark or the perfect stick better?
Howdy, thanks for the question.
I prefer the perfect stick more, due to the large round disc it has on it.
The accumark works fine, but it's skinnier than the width of the chain, and I feel I'm not as accurate with it.
It's really just personal preference for me, they both work 100% to measure out the wood. The perfect stick is also a small business close to us, so i try and support them as much as possible too 🤜🤛
I dont think I would have been able to wait a whole week to get a new toy dirty.
I have been swamped with work at the real job. Really haven't had much time either 🤷♂️ there is a bunch of junk across the street at my neighbors I could have gotten and split up for him. But I didn't want to not get thru it all and it be in the way for this load 😂 we got stuff to feed it now!!!! Thanks Bert!!!!
My life long question.
Snakes, planes, automatic transmissions.
Why do they exist.
They just bug me, LOL.
Snakes are great for the environment, in the wild they take care of alot of rodents that can be problematic for agricultural production.
Planes, we needed a better means of transportation, wheels just weren't cutting it. As humans we are curious, we wanted to be able to see the other side of the world without walking or driving half our lives away.
Automatic transmission, that's just so we could hold our beers better and drive, hard to shift hold your beer clutch and steer at same time😂😂 totally joking here, don't drink and drive!!! We as humans also love convenience, the Automatic transmission is a convenience thing. It makes life easier for the normal folks not hauling for a living. Cheers buddy🍻

Peer pressure... Wonder if you crossed where Tony did? Call that smooth bark hickory here. Not sure what it really is
Yeppers. We both crossed at Alexandria bay, 1000 island area. I don't think it was peer pressure, I think it was friends looking out for friends and remembering that I've wanted a vertical splitter for a while now. I'm thankful my buddies reached out and I got a really good deal on the splitter. I don't mind used when the equipment will last more than a lifetime!!!
@@LogCabinFirewood nothin wrong with used. Everything I have except manure spreader and haybine was used. By Dad, does that count? Do you watch logger John? He's from Perth. Surprised he didn't ask the helicopter to buzz Andrew when he went up in one at some festival

Congratulations on the new splitter Jack! Great addition to your woodyard. Nice load of logs Brad brought over. Enjoy the Hickory, it is my favorite firewood. It's in the top five for BTU output and dries much faster then Oak.🔥🪵🍊🔵
I'm excited for them both. Now to get some time to get outside and get cutting and splitting!!!☕️☕️
