This characteristic of PMJ’s vocals. I would guess that Scott Bradlee puts a huge emphasis on it.
Masterful breath control and you can tell coz her pitches are spot on. But, what impresses me above all is her enunciation. Words I can understand just sliding out like butter. Lovely.
A couple are not quite in tune in the lower register. Wonderful sound and feel on trombone.
The start when she sang smoooth was not.
As a Michael Jackson fan, I love this cover as much as the actual song. It’d be so cool if this was a theme song to a film noir detective movie.

This girl is so damn f-ing talented, that it boggles the mind to know that she's still not a HUGE MEGASTAR!!! She's an EXTRAORDINARY musician AND singer. And Scott Bradlee is an AMAZING pianist AND music arranger. The rest of the guys in the band are also FANTASTIC at what they do. Congratulations to all!👏👏👏👏👏

Sure is. I have seen her do one-handed cartwheels across the stage at her live shows and then go right on singing like nothing happened. Girl's in shape. She tours Europe & USA frequently with her own band and original songs. If she comes to your city it's worth going to see her!

Man, I've heard this song hundreds of times from a dozen different artists and after all that time this might be the best rendition.
i was so enthralled by this version, i was literally at the edge of my seat, it's like I'm hearing and feeling the words and emotions. This is definitely talent, i hope to hear more songs from her, i think Michael would be very proud.
