My mom is a FNP. Her email was flooded constantly with NP students looking for a preceptor.
I have been having the WORST time trying to shadow. I get told no so much, either by the person over them or the PA themselves. It’s very disheartening. Not sure how I’m the world I’m supposed to get hundreds of hours of shadowing. The frustrating part is I already work at a hospital!
Same here, contacted so many but the offices in my area do not allow student shadowing because they are too busy. I even offer to start off as a volunteer 😭 I'll try the local PA organization advice!
I'm sorry to hear that honestly. You don't need hundreds, you just need some in person even if its 20.

I am in my 3rd year undergrad and not sure when I should start obtaining these hours. When should I begin shadowing?
