Adanna, you have been immensely helpful in my journey of getting into PA school. I applied 2 cycles with no interview offers due to lower GPA (sub 3.0). I’m now in my 3rd application cycles, 4 interview offers so far and 1 acceptance. I would suggest adding The University of Tampa to this list because they evaluate GPA solely based last 60cr and prereq GPA.

That’s dope I think I’ll do a video in schools that only look at the last few credits Because that would be helpful for students who didn’t do so well in their freshman and sophomore year because they were still getting the hang of things. Thanks for that idea.

What school did you gain acceptance to?

If you are applying to U of Utah, also apply to UVU! They have a newer PA program with less competition than the U (for now). I think their minimum GPA is higher, but they don’t require the personality test that the U does.

@@superbang2pm Utah Valley University, it’s in Orem Utah. They have 3 of the digital anatomy tables and a smaller class size.

This video is misleading. The University of Utah, Ros Frank, and NWestern are some of the hardest schools to get into. The GPA requirement is a fraction of what they look for in an applicant. I tell you that the University of Utah is definitely NOT one of the easiest schools to get into. They are one of the oldest PA schools in the country, and considered one of the best PA schools in history. The only reason they have a low gpa requirement is because of their MEDEX model and their mission driven approach to training diverse students.

I can tell not a lot research put into this one. The only one that easy or easier is Utah. There are others way easier than you listed because you just focused on GPA. There is a lot more to it as you know.

Just a heads up for those thinking about applying to the University of Utah after watching this video: it has repeatedly ranked as one of the top schools in the country, and those who get accepted most often* have a 3.7 GPA or higher. Around 4,500 people apply per year and I think around 50 get in, with the majority of those being utah residents. Not trying to deter anyone at all, just putting that out there so that you can ensure you're super strong in other areas such as volunteering, shadowing, patient care hours etc. Thank for the great video! :)

The university of Utah is RIDICULOUSLY hard to get into, it’s always a top 5-10 program.

Stanford is also competitive like most PA programs are but that’s why I prefaced this by saying these are 6 programs with a lower gpa requirement than the typical 3.0.
