MY TRAUMA ELECTIVE IN KHAYELITSHA, CAPE TOWN, DURING MEDICAL SCHOOL

- My placement at Cape Town's infamous Khayelitsha hospital was my most memorable moment in medical school. On a typical day I would be seeing and treating 30-40 patients myself. The most common things seen would be trauma cases. On a typical night I would see gun shot victims, tens and tens of stabbings, community assaults, road traffic accidents and medical patients.
I learnt sooo much and I want to the thank the doctors from the bottom of my heart for teaching me so much! They're the true heros. Hopefully I can move on and help many others.

Young Driller it's an elective, you have the choice to organise it for yourself
