Keits is kinda right. Imagine if Snake Eyes doing balance for Zangief. Or JW balance Rufus in SF4. I don't trust any one of you pros on balancing this game. Lets leave it to the Devs
Riot Games has this infamous problem, they hired a pro player to work on the LOL devs iirc, and now whenever there's something people doesn't like happened, they blamed it all on him

I get that people are mad at the current format, but with stuff like this you need to give back some godd suggestions too. Everyone can see the problem and complaint, but it seems like no one have a good suggestion that can solve this cause all the stuff that people say like make the sets longer etc etc all have their own downside
It’s true. FGC has been on the low end of prize money and coverage in esports for awhile. I would really love to see more of them get their paid their dues. I couldn’t imagine being in their shoes.
Yeah online tourneys just don’t do it for me even with big name players im less inclined to watch but when they’re all in the same room im excited & tune in. I thought the CPT before COVID was amazing, I was watching so much Street Fighter it helped me enjoy 5 even more.
I think Daigo is looking at the whole concept of tournaments for video games a bit too humbly. We should be grateful for a lot of things but it has nothing to do with the conversation. Capcom aren't running the CPT out of the kindness of their hearts. It is a big part of what keeps SF relevant which equates to sales. If pros are not seeing much of a return, then they may not participate as often. It is in Capcom's interest to improve the format.
What makes people think pro players don't work hard? Sure they aren't sitting in a cubicle or crawling around in a sewer all day but spending hours a day in the lab sure seems like work to me. A lot of people don't understand being the best at most anything takes a lot of work and dedication
Pro only tournament only benefits pros. Offline Tournaments make money off all the registrations and randos showing up to buy tickets and merch. Organizers are not gonna lose money just so pros can pop off and gain viewers for their streams.
I know it would be a lot of work but it’d be cool if a FG would have a “Tournament” patch and “Normal” patch that can be selectable across game modes. Normal just be for fun (not super balanced) for those of who only have limited time or are casual. Tryhards or pros can use tournament with direct feedback capabilities to the balance team.
EWC had the best format. FT3 with top 8 being FT5. All offline events should follow this format CPT offline events need to give top 4 some WW points just for being there and finishing that high otherwise iDom and the guy who got eliminated at first round pools end up with the same
Where is Combofiend in this conversation(your first talking point)?! The man literally went from Pro to working in the gaming industry. I don't do Twitter, someone go tag the man and get his input!
He's probably being kind by saying faster, I think he really means they're games where you die fast. High damage, not execution heavy, you make a mistake and get punished big time, even by average players/non-pros.
16:15 If the volume is off, it is the same as going into versus mode, set CPU VS CPU - Akuma vS Bison at level 9 each. I would guess it is an online match as them 2 characters are everywhere
The Twitter players always have something to whine about. Modern fighting games have a lot of design elements that come directly from player feedback. Lower combo execution, no meterless invincible attacks, throw tech windows, loss of ambiguous okizeme set ups. It’s strange that games considered among best in their series Xrd, sf3/4, BBCF, Tekken 5, etc are the games with least amount of player feedback implemented. Almost like devs make better games when they don’t listen to the Twitter bros.
They just have too many tournaments now honestly oversaturation has made people start to ignore them. They forget the back in the day. There was only really three tournaments that anybody ever watched.
FGC’s major issue is not figuring out how to monetize adequately. It all comes down to money. More money means more resources to make these events better format, more organized, etc.
I am still dumfounded that they think we care about avatars after the couple of hours that we need to make it through the story. infact i dont even understand the player hub, i dont know a single player that uses it beyond challenges for the week, and i would bet an organ that most people just connect from the multiplayer screen just like me and my boys.
It’s literally mind boggling. Like I just dont understand why you would make avatar bullshit instead of character costumes when we spend most of the time Playing. The. Game. More importantly the community would also spend MONEY on costumes🤯 Who tf spends money on avatar stuff?? Aint no way thats profitable I refuse to believe it. Also more than having costumes can we get some damn bundles for the costumes instead of buying everything individually. For the love of…capcom got me heated let me stop🤦♂️
@@jrodgers674 the sad thing is that them continued nonsense with avatar stuff means that in their eyes, enough people buy them. What’s even more sad that they don’t realize how much money they’d make with making the same amount of roster character clothes, but instead of selling them for $120+ overall, they could do it with $30-$40 bundles. Most people would buy it that way, while obviously most people only bought outfit 3 for 1-2 characters, because no one in their right mind want to spend so much on all the outfits inside just one set.
Keits is the truth man he’s right he was the only developer to step up and say something which is not unlike him and also he’s the only one that had offered an in-depth and complete thought process on what it takes to balance things properly and have player consultants and all that shit I would highly recommend that you personally read through that again and keep that close to you and in mind when considering what needs to change in a game and refer back to what he saidfor future situations like this he’s the reason why a solid game and it runs smoothly. There are other people that are responsible for that too, but he’s at the top of that list in my opinion.
Should tournament formats change? Taking the example of the movie Tennis, do professional tennis players go to amateur or semi-amateur tournaments? We wouldn't see Serena Williams or Rafa Nadal in an amateur tournament looking to win the prize right? Instead they compete in their own leagues at their own level. The professionals should have more events for them in the style of Red Bull Kumite and where they can get their pass to the CPT. Leaving the events more accessible to amateurs and semi-professionals to also obtain their pass to the CPT, only events like the EVO would have the presence of both. Will this ever happen? Absolutely and negatively never ever! Let's live with what we have, gentlemen, and nothing happened here.
They are competing for 1M, and they want this to be the easiest posible ? Did they know how much time and work a “normal person” needs to reach that amount? Lol. If they don’t like it they should retire.
Casual here. With all their half life combos and comeback mechanics fighting games are more random then they've ever been. SF6 and tekken should be first to 3 at the very least . The winners lossers and grand finals should be first to 5. Large field tournaments would take a week + to finish though.
"Travel and throw down on a hotel just to get eliminated in an hour" Welcome to being EVERYONE DROWNING IN POOLS TO YOU Don't let that get you salty, it's all part of the game! Also, be careful what you're asking/demanding as tournament players. That buck's gotta stop somewhere, and that somewhere is monetization models. REALLY THINK HARD about what you're asking for, here.
About the pro player thing. Kids should have their own league. Its kinda disrespectful to match Daigo for example to some little 12 year old kid or something.
@@dom2795Single elimination is fine so long there are long enough sets to eliminate the possibility of fluke wins. Unfortunately given the nature of SF6 and modern games, it's very hard to confidently determine a true winner by skills in less than ft10 formats.
@@gusnunez1254 yep that is exactly my thought. Another 1v1 competition that has figured out a consistent system for determining the best player in a tournament
Hiring players as consultants in fighting games is actually nothing new. Tekken has mishimastar, a pro kazuya player as battle director for tekken 7 and tekken 8. Street Fighter have woshige (the guy with the "what are you standing up for" when fought ogawa in guilty gear xrd) as one of the battle directors in sfv and one of the battle planners in sf6.
at best fighting games could use beta build system for every patch before it goes live but even then that has been proven not to work in many games. the system now is good enough. you can voice your opinions on twitter they can figure out what they want to make better. A pro player being paid "consult" especially since money is a big thing now. I get what daigo is saying but the way he is saying it would kill the tournament seen. it would be very gatekeepy. just imagine Uma a player who wasn't the biggest fgc member not being pro enough to take a tourney even though he was pretty much undefeated in pools and in brackets. but the pro's are now complaining about travel and expenses when they are sponsored and get some sort of help. but they said online tourneys need to go? so let me see if im understanding the story here. more tourneys, no online tourneys, more prize money, no rando's but rando's still buy the games and dlc also keep watching the streams of the tourneys and pro players.
The only thing I care about balance wise is they gut Bison. Holy crap is he just awful for the game right now at every level. From flooding the competitive scene to hard carrying terrible players online he's just a misery.
@leob4403 there were 30 in the top 128 at Singapore alone. While he hasn't won the super premiers he's been massively over represented at all of them. Japan he was the most represented in top 256 and second for top 128 behind only Akuma. His worst sin is carrying, his peak performance is similar to other top characters but the real problem is anyone who can successfully eat a full crayon is a meaningful threat on him and can get carried far.
Miss Vegas always been killing it when it comes to cosplay I have to say that she's one of the best out of the WWE people who cosplay. Also I don't know how Road Warrior works I don't know if it's just a Japan thing or anything but to make it more interesting I know some of the players like being in their boxers and stuff like that you can catch them streaming the game but why not have them have their cameras on so when they win and we can see a pop up or something. Also I do kind of understand the whole Pro players fighting in this big tournament that everyone can join in and then possibly them getting washed by a random or unknown player who doesn't even have points for Capcom cup. If you going to have players enjoying a Capcom Cup qualifier you should probably just make it pro versus Pro and maybe have like a little money side tournament on the side and hosted on a second Channel and treat it like a big stage still but I'm not sure I'm not a host or someone that's in the system who does this I'm just thinking how could it be better. Oranges have it in one big spot and constantly hurts tournaments there but that could be a big problem too because a whole bunch of players will just be in one spot for the whole day and stay in your hotel maybe within months or how long tournaments there are so you can qualify but again that's just me yapping
To me of all the companies right now, Capcom is doing the better work balancing and even them mess up, but at least is not as big as NR, Bandai Namco or Arc Sys in recent patches. SF6 still been the standard on this and still....you have a BISON, KEN, somehow escaping the nerfs, and why you see so many Ken, Akuma and Bison now days, last season was JP, Luke and Ken, who knows what is coming........but SF always clean their act at the end (unless you have a LUKE or an ELENA to ruin it at the last moment XD). On the subject of CPT please just we need the point system back, this is ridiculous and the offline events need to be THE FOCUS not the world warriors, bring back point system, keep a few WW events for less people qualify that way and the grind be on OFFLINE EVENTS so people who travel not waste their money if they happen to get top 8 but not get absolute nothing to qualify because ended bellow 2nd or third in super premieres.
Imagine a format where it's pros only. Longer sets? How bout instead of FT# yall run on a game clock and most rounds/matches wins. Coaching? Call a timeout. No more "icing" accusations. Delay of game penalties for that. Yall want esports like sports then go whole hog
There's so much more that goes into training facilities and development programs, injury prevention, rehabilitation, all this sort of stuff, these basketball players cost millions of millions of dollars. How many fgc players actually receive a salary from their sponsor?
Brian F summed up what me and many others have been saying since SF6's release. World Warriors are wack. No one cares about random no names secluded in a small region fighting among themselves. We want to see well known players compete against the new guys and see how they fare in comparison. These events gets almost no viewerships and I sure as heck havent watched any of them, I barely even watch offline majors with how boring everything is right now. Brian is 100% right in saying CPT has no hype and lost tons of influence since SF6's release. Last year's CPT was a joke, the LCQ was more hype than the main tournament. This year is going to be a repeat unless they change how players qualifies.
Yeah. I mean, it can still have hype moments, but at the end of the day, a winner will be on stage and most people will only think “he would get washed by the top players”. I’m all for a new gen emerging and taking the place of the current top players, not them getting their little secluded tournament with the “Hey, come now so you can get into top 8” mentality.
Those random no names were bopping legends. That was the best part of SF4 upsets was seeing somebody rock an "established player" out of the tournament. At the rate the circuit was going into SFV great players were being precluded from the pro tour. MenaRD was on the other side of what happened before where despite being, at the time, still one of the best players in the world, he didn't qualify because he couldn't make it to tournaments that mattered. That's whack shit. If I wanna watch Punk and Du fight, I can do that nearly every single day. If I wanna see Daigo and Fuudo run sets, I can do that every single day. I wanna see new legends get born. And you can't do that if these new legends can't even fly out.
@@arpadszabo661 My favorite excuse people make for these people is that it gives them a chance to get their names out there because they cant afford to travel. And im like, if they cant travel, I wont see them at offline events, so why should I care about them either way? This is why we need the point system back from OFFLINE premiere events.
I'm going to chime in as a former elite call of duty player. That game was so good and then they started listening to the community too much. Catering to the community. Those same people that were complaining about how unbalanced and unfair the game is, once they got their fixed for the weapons etc they stop playing because the game was trash. If something is actually broken fix it If not as a player either exploit it or figure out how to work around it. I'm a casual SF6 player but I've been around video games since home consoles and arcades were a thing. Some of the most fun games were the ones that weren't balanced. Also remember if you make a game that is strictly competitive that game is not going to last because the sales won't back it. And unless you all are going to pay a monthly service fee to make up for the casual players how else is the game going to get funded for more than 6 months? Open to questions and/or giving further detail.
That's how mortal Kombat X's final patch was like. Everyone whined about the amount of 50/50s and BS in the game but when that final patch dropped nerfing 50/50s, reversals,BS, run cancels etc. people went "yeah this game is ass now" and we ended up with a weird meta where the once trash characters went untouched and became super top tier in the meta and they were a SNOOZEFEST to fight People genuinely missed the BS enough they got on PC to play downgraded patches of the game
sf6 is random and inconsistent as hell, even if i hate sf5 more, that game was consistent, same sf4 even more consistent than both - problems are games not format of tournaments
bullsh1t, SF4 had ultras and vortexes, may i remind you that SFV (a game that i love BTW) had crush counter being broken beyond any reason before Arcade Edition scaled it down, it basically was a competition who got CC first. Sf6 can be random sometimes, but that just aggravtes FT2 is being a big problem.
the tournament results said otherwise, no one in sf4 could outdo the great pro players, now in sf6 punk wins evo and in the next tournament he can't get out of the group, the random gap is huge, sf5 will be somewhere in between even though the game lacked depth, the game in the last seasons presented solid neutral game, sf6 looks the worst drive rush destroys the neutral game, shimmy, throw loops, big dmg, game is designed around casual players I hope someone is working on rollback netcode for sf4, I want get back to this drug
I quick side note about horny tuesday. Aint nobody dressing up as the female characters with the lame ass "modern designs" lol. Its always the good old school stuff that looks good.
What I think should be improved with balance in fighting game is patch frequency. They are too rare and changes too little. They are afraid of shaking things up too much, because it can take a lot of time before players figure out how strong some stuff can be, and they REALLY don't want it to affect tournament results. But then they also are not addressing obvious and figured out problems fast enough, or at all. I mean if you take SF6, strong characters have been figured out very fast. DLC asides, most top/bottom tiers didn't change since the first months. After a full year of vanilla version with no balance patch whatsoever, Ken is still ridiculously strong, and he even got some buffs. Like broski said with the SFV Alex example, it really feels like they often miss the point of why that character is strong and this character is weak. I would like to see what happens if they take more risks. Just making big changes, and adjusting it bit regularly instead of gathering information for 1 year to make the most tiny changes. It would also give more life to the game, you can come back to it when you see a patch and actually feel like your character have something different.
Ah, FGC pros aka the 1% of the playerbase complain that devs balance games with the 99% in mind. Laughable. Bro, it’s not our issue that most of you got hardstuck in highschool and play videogames for a living.
@@coolesty No one stops them from having a job instead of competitively playing videogames. Sure, i know, its more enjoyable, more comfortable. But then pros come out with their Twitter nonsense about being legit depressed because of a damn videogame, because the current design or patch or whatever doesn’t favor them. Once again, its not the 99%’s fault that the 1% got stuck in a child-like mentality, because like it or not, whining this much about a videogame and being depressed, while on the other side of the world people are crying, being depressed and living in fear because their loved ones are dying in different wars, is laughable. If there would be a pyramid made out of the world’s real issues, this wouldn’t be at the bottom, it would be a small stone that didn’t even fit anywhere. They need to get over themselves. They are not even relevant in their own space, because they are the 1%, yet they act like everything should revolve around them. No, game designs revolve around the majority, who turn on their pc, console or whatever at the end of the day and play for 1-2 hours.
@@arpadszabo661 1 or 2 hours at the end of the day? Yeah Speak for yourself, the rest of us in the FGC with 12hour long shifts, dogs and even got kids... even my days off involve just cleaning and family time... what game time do I find
That's not really a fair statement. If you would only play the game for an hour or two every now and then and you are not proficient, the differences between characters would not mean much. The problem is that once one is familiar with how to actually play these games, the character differences become clear and it can get very frustrating not being able to do much in given situations or against different options. That's why devs try and balance their games, because people who actually play them, even if not the 1%, will experience those frustrations.
They should get all the top fighters together and create a think tank. Go through every character and make them focus on each character one by one to get away from the bias.
It still won’t be as simple as that They clearly would be three or four players among them who would rather die than let their character get a slight nerf
ft10 gives you more time to adapt to a players style. then adjust and adapt again. I think its as close as you can get to see who the better player at the time is. Obviously, you have to account for playerstyle and the balance of the character they use. Plus if you are naturally more nervous person, you have time to settle the nerves. however, there something to be said for faster matches as well. Reminds me of blitz chess vs regular chess. it basically a different game at that point.
@@uria2001imagine every match in tournaments was ft10, it would take like 2 weeks to finish the tournament, it would be as long winded as the olympics
We have sponsored players, but it's not enough. The term "Pro tour" is so generalized. The esports sphere needs to evolve more in terms of scouting new talent, putting in more money and like they said more accessible arenas
Keits mirrors what Clayton said about hiring players. 2XKO is a perfect example, that game is only hype and I have reservations when it gets fully released. If you're hiring a player because they're popular, you're not doing the game justice.
why not make every country with enough sf participants gets sponsored by capcom then take everyone that had won in one big tournament for sf so that we may see other faces or other good sf players in a one big tournament representing their countries.😅
The thing about World Warrior it always comes during like an NFL, NBA game. Why do I wanna watch some random World Warrior when I can see Pat Mahomes or Lebron?
i quit watching sports a long time ago. I will watch highlights. Sometimes I'll catch some of the game but I rarely watch a whole game. Tbf once my younger brother died, I really cut back on watching sports. so that has something to do with it as well
Why would you want to watch Lebron is a better question, NBA and NFL is like play 10 seconds, then there's a commercial break, and then we come back, and the refs are discussing some blocking foul or charge or something for a few minutes, and then they go back to commercial break again, I mean it's borderline unwatchable
The whinning of the FGC crybabies is getting out of control. Strive is old as fuck. They shook up the game for the better. Bugs and overtuning will get fixed with time
Wow, and now Daigo wants to gatekeep the pro scene? 😂. A casual tennis player isn’t going to score a fucking point on Serena or Federer. Daigo is a legend, but these pros have their head in their asses if they think the skill gap in the FGC is as wide as it is in athletics
@@leob4403 because he doesn’t want to deal with the ocean of mashers then get booted by a nameless nobody like me. I haven’t played sf6 since the first week and opened it up just try the “dream combo” with ed. 5 tries , lol. I totally get Diago. He should get best out of 5 against me. Dude flew from Japan (more than a grand $) to lose against me who just entered the tournament because my company had me go near the venue for a conference or I live near said city or venue. And I’m a nobody. If you think that’s fair than wtf is the point of being sponsored if anyone could do anything, point is you need more rounds for a pro to shine in this game. Unless he’s watched the player play before like us watching them for countless tournaments. Then we get a best of 3? That’s not fair for them and I agree. All that money spent from there sponsors for me to body them in a game that takes 2 or 3 touches and way less skill than older games. Older games also had the same amount of touches but you needed skill to access. This is a fair argument by him. I don’t wanna watch someone beat him only to lose a game later to someone who watched him play. Id understand a lashar or punk or endingwalker who won the damn tournament and is still if figure but there’s nobody’s than take out a pro only to lose immediately after. Also it hurts the tournament in general. Like you watch all the capcom qualifiers in no name regions , gtfo.
@ I’m just saying he does have a valid argument. I don’t give a sht. I do like watching skill . If we lose pros or players stop flying and it turns into online tournaments sorta like it is now viewership and attention we’ll go down as it’s doing now. I understand that pools first to 5 makes it too long. There’s a real problem here. All the people that started on sfv , where are they now ? All the kids that started on sf4 are still thriving. Yes they are some that made it but this is the problem when you make a game too easy. In its later years anyone can beat Diago or a sponsored player that booked hotels etc. You’ve seen countless footage and they haven’t. It’s capcom fault for not putting in stuff for try hards like me. I like the game don’t get me wrong but I’ll never fly anywhere for it . I don’t know what to do, just saying he has a point. I do know i no longer watch all these tournaments as I use to. Im not busy , it’s just not exciting unless I know it’s someone like punk against mena or something I don’t care , I’ll just watch the single match which will surely be uploaded by numerous channels. As for watching a tournament live and making a lobby in a game , killing a morning afternoon, those days are over for me. Bunch of no names and people not flying anymore so usually tournaments are not stacked anymore. Yes Ect , CEO exist. But elchackotay took combo breaker, I know he is good and I’m happy for him but there wasn’t really anyone there. I’m not hating on him or the character. Just saying I miss all the drama and salty suite shit. Nobody is flying because it’s too much of a gamble and shits online now. I don’t know man but I think it’s on a downward slope. Once these sfv pros start getting bills in the mail and having a kid or a good job I think we’ll see less of them and everything will be online besides heavy areas like the east coast , California etc…
That's not just any designer, that's Keits formerly from SRK and the UFG(Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament, RIP). If you ever listened to how they explained their methodology for balance in KI, you can tell he and the team at Ki knew what they were doing. While almost all players look only at the problems(symptoms) with each game, the KI guys looked at the underlying conditions and worked towards balancing things as a whole as opposed to a biased vacuum.

Yeah, win an amateur tourney, get access to pro tourneys. I love the idea of a nobody burning down the house in an open EVO, but the top tourneys should be for the top players, simple as.
I enjoy the online WW events with commentary, especially when I'm just in the mood to devour content. Having said that, of course the offline events are more hype and fun to watch.
Brian F's take is hot garbage. So long as the matches are good and the presentation is entertaining people will watch. We don't need international players at every event. We need to not have 15+ minute breaks between matches and less cringe commentary. When you only watch 3 matches in an hour, that's extremely boring as a viewer. There is too much interview / commentary. Imagine a hockey (or basketball) game where every whistle they stop for 5 min for commentary. It's boring and people tune out.
That's literally what NFL and NBA are, NHL is slightly better, they play for 20 seconds, then there's commercial breaks, commentaries, referee discussions, cheerleaders and this that and the others, there's so much wasted time I can't watch it

It is in Capcom's interest to improve the format.
xiaohai is more japanese than daigo
How wonder does include Under Night In Birth 2, Blazing Strike and other fighting games (constant balance patches)...?
What makes people think pro players don't work hard? Sure they aren't sitting in a cubicle or crawling around in a sewer all day but spending hours a day in the lab sure seems like work to me. A lot of people don't understand being the best at most anything takes a lot of work and dedication
Pro only tournament only benefits pros. Offline Tournaments make money off all the registrations and randos showing up to buy tickets and merch. Organizers are not gonna lose money just so pros can pop off and gain viewers for their streams.
Maybe they could get a TV deal if interest is high enough
I know it would be a lot of work but it’d be cool if a FG would have a “Tournament” patch and “Normal” patch that can be selectable across game modes. Normal just be for fun (not super balanced) for those of who only have limited time or are casual. Tryhards or pros can use tournament with direct feedback capabilities to the balance team.
EWC had the best format. FT3 with top 8 being FT5. All offline events should follow this format
CPT offline events need to give top 4 some WW points just for being there and finishing that high otherwise iDom and the guy who got eliminated at first round pools end up with the same
Where is Combofiend in this conversation(your first talking point)?! The man literally went from Pro to working in the gaming industry. I don't do Twitter, someone go tag the man and get his input!
Bro called GGST fast when I find it to be the slowest of the GG titles
Well gg overall is hella fast game
@@Riuzakif2000 I'd say Strive is at the speed as most other 2D fighters now. Xrd was the last time it felt faster than most games (obv not Fighterz)
He's probably being kind by saying faster, I think he really means they're games where you die fast. High damage, not execution heavy, you make a mistake and get punished big time, even by average players/non-pros.

If the volume is off, it is the same as going into versus mode, set CPU VS CPU - Akuma vS Bison at level 9 each.
I would guess it is an online match as them 2 characters are everywhere
One of those trusted 2 is Maxdood I bet.
Yea wouldn't be surprised
The Twitter players always have something to whine about. Modern fighting games have a lot of design elements that come directly from player feedback. Lower combo execution, no meterless invincible attacks, throw tech windows, loss of ambiguous okizeme set ups. It’s strange that games considered among best in their series Xrd, sf3/4, BBCF, Tekken 5, etc are the games with least amount of player feedback implemented. Almost like devs make better games when they don’t listen to the Twitter bros.
no way that was wednesday or rengoku. though madara was damn good, was not expecting that.
They just have too many tournaments now honestly oversaturation has made people start to ignore them. They forget the back in the day. There was only really three tournaments that anybody ever watched.
True. Toooo many tournaments. I remember norcal and socal regionals were really big. Now they ain't nothing
FGC’s major issue is not figuring out how to monetize adequately.
It all comes down to money. More money means more resources to make these events better format, more organized, etc.
SF6 is dropping the ball with the lack of content
yeah. no holiday costumes or stages is wack. SFV had plenty of that stuff by now
I am still dumfounded that they think we care about avatars after the couple of hours that we need to make it through the story. infact i dont even understand the player hub, i dont know a single player that uses it beyond challenges for the week, and i would bet an organ that most people just connect from the multiplayer screen just like me and my boys.
It’s literally mind boggling. Like I just dont understand why you would make avatar bullshit instead of character costumes when we spend most of the time Playing. The. Game.
More importantly the community would also spend MONEY on costumes🤯
Who tf spends money on avatar stuff??
@@arpadszabo661 the fact that not even money makers like Chun and Juri are getting them is outrageous to me
Keits is the truth man he’s right he was the only developer to step up and say something which is not unlike him and also he’s the only one that had offered an in-depth and complete thought process on what it takes to balance things properly and have player consultants and all that shit I would highly recommend that you personally read through that again and keep that close to you and in mind when considering what needs to change in a game and refer back to what he saidfor future situations like this he’s the reason why a solid game and it runs smoothly.
Playing a longer set doesn't make anything easier.
Some good ass FT5 buttons.
I would say yes have some pros an input but not final say and they can’t compete in tournaments
how did he pronounce Na-ru-doe?
Please bring back the old HT music
Casual here. With all their half life combos and comeback mechanics fighting games are more random then they've ever been. SF6 and tekken should be first to 3 at the very least . The winners lossers and grand finals should be first to 5. Large field tournaments would take a week + to finish though.
comp fighting games are too niche, dont think it will ever be as big as people want

Each set best 3 out of 5 games.
Switch sides every set
Single Elim.
Everything sounded great until you said single elim man😂
@@dom2795Single elimination is fine so long there are long enough sets to eliminate the possibility of fluke wins.

The cosplays tho 🤗 Juri and Mileena
Yeah, CPT needs to change. World Warriors weighting as much as an offline event is a massive joke.
Yeah, been sayin' it for a long time. Bo3R 2S is too Quick.. not worth watching.
People act like devs don’t play the game😂
Daigo watching challengers?
at best fighting games could use beta build system for every patch before it goes live but even then that has been proven not to work in many games. the system now is good enough. you can voice your opinions on twitter they can figure out what they want to make better.
He didn't do that well in recent premiers, it was akuma ken and Zangief that won the last 3
@leob4403 there were 30 in the top 128 at Singapore alone.
I love bison, its the rest of the top tiers that are annoying. Look at rashid

Keits is 100% right
To me of all the companies right now, Capcom is doing the better work balancing and even them mess up, but at least is not as big as NR, Bandai Namco or Arc Sys in recent patches.
Tye FGC needs to do it like the NBA. HAVE A PRO LEAGUE and a G-League for the up and coming players.
There's so much more that goes into training facilities and development programs, injury prevention, rehabilitation, all this sort of stuff, these basketball players cost millions of millions of dollars. How many fgc players actually receive a salary from their sponsor?
Lol hell no.
That only works for TEAMS of people, they aint a thing in fighting games
Gotta love how the sheeple forget that the pros they're constantly gobbing were also no names when they first started.

Everyone whined about the amount of 50/50s and BS in the game but when that final patch dropped nerfing 50/50s, reversals,BS, run cancels etc. people went "yeah this game is ass now" and we ended up with a weird meta where the once trash characters went untouched and became super top tier in the meta and they were a SNOOZEFEST to fight
People genuinely missed the BS enough they got on PC to play downgraded patches of the game

sf6 is random and inconsistent as hell, even if i hate sf5 more, that game was consistent, same sf4 even more consistent than both - problems are games not format of tournaments
bullsh1t, SF4 had ultras and vortexes, may i remind you that SFV (a game that i love BTW) had crush counter being broken beyond any reason before Arcade Edition scaled it down, it basically was a competition who got CC first.

Sf4 was the golden era
the tournament results said otherwise, no one in sf4 could outdo the great pro players, now in sf6 punk wins evo and in the next tournament he can't get out of the group, the random gap is huge, sf5 will be somewhere in between even though the game lacked depth, the game in the last seasons presented solid neutral game, sf6 looks the worst drive rush destroys the neutral game, shimmy, throw loops, big dmg, game is designed around casual players

ST HD remix has consultants that is basically the who's who in the FGC, including multiple times EVO champions
nobody liked it, balance wise

@@coolesty It's not ignorant.....it's just truthfully harsh is all.
Yeah
Speak for yourself, the rest of us in the FGC with 12hour long shifts, dogs and even got kids... even my days off involve just cleaning and family time... what game time do I find
Are you telling me that some of the professionals would agree to nerf their main character?
It still won’t be as simple as that

ft10 gives you more time to adapt to a players style. then adjust and adapt again. I think its as close as you can get to see who the better player at the time is. Obviously, you have to account for playerstyle and the balance of the character they use. Plus if you are naturally more nervous person, you have time to settle the nerves. however, there something to be said for faster matches as well.

I legit have not cared about a single world warrior event no matter the name that shows up
cant even talk about how much i hate sf6 due to getting censored on youtube. Im not the one who put in transsexuals into a damn game! its their own fn fault. f capcom.
Daigo should be thankfull he has looser bracket, In japan is one game and you go home. Before you travel to japan loose one game Goodbye.
in Japan they didn't have to travel..
because hes from there.....
That's not true since the 90s
@@shaqthegr8884 there were some single elim sf4 tournaments too
I don’t think he was being ungrateful…he even stated he is not being ungrateful about a simple game, or others may call it a “toy”…he has been in FGC for SO LONG…the man is simply making a statement from his vantage point
I love Brian F, but if Lord Daigo speaks, you STFU! 😂
Yeah, win an amateur tourney, get access to pro tourneys. I love the idea of a nobody burning down the house in an open EVO, but the top tourneys should be for the top players, simple as.
Remember vegapatch eliminating Kawano to make top 8 in Capcom Cup 9, that was pretty hype
Kiets also made DiveKick, respect on his name.
I enjoy the online WW events with commentary, especially when I'm just in the mood to devour content. Having said that, of course the offline events are more hype and fun to watch.
Daigo is just getting old .. Times has changed old man .. This is the current gen of FGC, accept it or leave .. EZ 😎🍻
daigo was never good
@SubaruWRX500 IDC who's good or not .. New FGC is going woke IMO ~ 😮💨
@@GraveXSensei liking your own comment is woke too, bing bong herro you secretly like chairman daigo 🇨🇳
@@SubaruWRX500 But Taiwan and Hong Kong are countries .. Understand, Mongke? LMAO 🤣🤣🤣
@@GraveXSensei your comment got censored because of misinformation
Since Capcom started doing SFL, I felt there should be a pro circuit. However that could end up being a waste of money even if it’s done right.
That’s @wrestlamia x post. Not wrestlemania 😅. He’s a fellow TH-camr
Numbers clearly supports his claim and contradict yours little bro.
I agree about the add stuff, not the rest.
@mike Your take is hot garbage
That's literally what NFL and NBA are, NHL is slightly better, they play for 20 seconds, then there's commercial breaks, commentaries, referee discussions, cheerleaders and this that and the others, there's so much wasted time I can't watch it
i see you're upping your music selection. looking for more songs to use? lmfaooooo
