    I like this guy. He's a good host, and his enthusiasm seems genuine.

    I was wondering if you guys could do a video showing all of your pre-wired harnesses, with a tutorial on how to properly connect everything. I'm specially interested in seeing how the crimp connector is used to connect to a ground wire, but obviously an entire walkthrough would be great. Thank you!

    Mighty fine tuck-n-roll you got there, my friend.🔥

    I had that same guitar but late 80s version. It's the only guitar that I ever sold that I wish I still had. And I've sold tons. There was just something special about it.

    That slick sounded the best to me. I just modded a budget tele with the Lil punchers. 10k bridge and the 7.5k neck. Also got the humbucker wiring harness. I couldn't be happier. Wasn't to sure about the Lil punchers but now I'm sure. It's one of my best sounding teles now. You can do such I wider type of music now. Guitar fetish is now my go to guitar and parts store.

      From the video it seems they don't sound a lot like the Tele's, how would you compare the sounds you got?

    • @spookshilljoe7376
      @spookshilljoe7376 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It sounds in between single coils and full size humbuckers if that helps. More punch. I used a 33 capacitor too.

    I'm not sure I would make changes to a true vintage tele.

      Thanks for your comment! No changes were made to the Vintage Tele. Just played to compare tones!

    GuitarfetishTV.....I just finished reworking one of my GFS XAVIERE Tele guitars. I modified the existing pickguard and dropped in
    GFS MINI-HUMBUCKER (CHROMED complete with chrome ring surround). KILLER modification teamed with exceptionally HOT
    overwound GFS bridge pickup (large poles). JimInCincy......

    Nice licks and nice stuff!
    That's what I say. Love that riff dawg very tasty and I'm stealing it. But I plan on buying an Xavier to pay ya back 🙂 win win

    i got the GFS 52 pro overwound bridge pickup for my Tele and it really fattened it up nicely while keeping the classic Telecaster tone!

  • @BobbyMeeks

    Excellent. I'll have to try the lil bridge bucker. I've never been happy with the bridge pup on my two Xaviere teles... Love the other two positions. Thought about rewiring so tone only impacts the bridge.

    I know I'm gonna get flamed for this but it's a ll about the 72 Tele deluxes. Those things are unreal on the clean tone and for the metal heads, the bridge pickup can chug.

    Hey what's the amp in the background? Says 'Super Amp' - heard it in more than one video and it sounds great.

    Nice man. I would appreciate more humbucker videos too. For us 2 humbucker, 24 fret guys.

    It would be nice to know exactly what pickups were used in the comparisons. "Overwound" could be any number of your tele pickups. Same as the Slick guitar - there's three different pickup sets to choose from? The only one that was easy to find was the Lil Puchers.

    • @GuitarfetishTV
      @GuitarfetishTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Peter. Thanks for the heads up! We went ahead and added those SKU numbers for the pickups in the description of this video.

    • @peterschmidt9942
      @peterschmidt9942 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GuitarfetishTV Cheers. That makes it a little easier for everyone to find. Although you might want to replace the SLP119/121 reference with SLP404 set as you don't seem to sell SLP119/121 individually.
      The KPT13 reference might be wrong too (thats your rail pickup). Maybe it was the KPT18 I25?

    To improve a vintage tele , start by changing the neck to one with a 12" or flatter radius ,and at least 22 jumbo frets.. then change the pickups , pots , output jack and bridge to something modern ... heck , why not just change the body too , maybe a HSS pickup configuration , and some body bevels/comfort cuts . You do those things and you'll have a darned fine Tele

    If your bridge pickup is too bright turn down the tone control. I have a set of Little Punchers I'm putting into a Warmoth Tele build. The Joe Barden pickups have curved rails that won't work with a compound radius neck and are a big waste of money IMHO.

    • @thejessesliger
      @thejessesliger 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed about the tone control. I always used my bridge pickup as my more button to cut through on a lead and i always wanted something a little more balanced against my neck position (my 52 came stock with only two positions). But still the tone control is something often overlooked in dialing in the magic!
      Good call on the punchers though, they definitely live up to their name!

  • @corneliuscrewe677

    Not vintage sounding per se, but I prefer the sound of the Fatbody pickups, I have them in a couple of guitars, one Tele and a bridge pickup in a parts Strat.
