9:43 its not his full power, its basically what he can only use without injuring himself however he got buffed by the support item and his full cowl agility. Reason why he defeated Muscular at that power is he took advantage of the fact that his muscle armor is really thin at the moment and he hit him hard that second.
And the armor got thin because of Shindo's vibration quirk*, that's why Midoriya said "Did you train with Vibrate without noticing?"

@@malikhinds2355 I get why some people feel that way, but I don't really agree. As someone who grew up with all the classic shonen the fact deku wasn't some hothead who barreled his way through everything all the time and actually had emotional sensitivity and intelligence was what drew me to the show initially.
After well over a decade of MC's that were basically carbon copies of Goku, Luffy, Naruto, and Ichigo.
Deku felt refreshing.
@@NRG-REC I agree, I've always enjoyed Izuku from the beginning because we don't really see that kind of protagonist often. He has the intelligence to defeat his rivals in battle, but isn't always the strongest and can break down sometimes, and that's definitely okay.
@@NRG-REC Agree, Deku felt like a breath of fresh air for a main character when starting the show. I really like how analytical he is. He also grew up as a normal person without a quirk, so the moments when he shows weakness or cries is understandable, but it's always cool to see him push past that anyways. They say courage is not never being afraid, but being able to face danger in spite of fear, and Deku embodies that really well. Super cool and underrated character tbh
It's not just about Deku's power, but also his *battle analysis* skills to strategize, reflect on his previous battles, and observe his opponent for current battle. His nerd quality that he had as a kid for analysis for all those years coming in to aid him even to now.
Deku's power is also more of a swiss army knife skill set, as it's not as much as individual power for strength as much as combining them for use. The extra quirks are more support type than offensive thus far.

Fun fact: that support item deku is using was in the first mha movie "two heroes". With them he was able to use 100% four times before it breaks.
I heard this Deku described by a fan, and it hyped me the fuck up to finally get to this part, all they told me was: he's got the heart of spiderman, the reputation of batman, and the aesthetics of spawn...i honestly think it's a spot on description
25:00 - It was from *Recovery Girl* to heal Deku, getting to him later (a side note left in the manga for that chapter). Healing what can be healed. Remember when she first healed Deku, she healed them broken bones pretty quick. lol

@Nico G Nah, she doesn't have enough energy. Mirio left her empty, so she needs time to store energy. And Aizawa eye injury (his quirk affected). So him not able to keep her in control with her power like before, as she still could go out of control.

8:07 in the manga deku doesn't float down but actually smashes into the riverground like all might did against the first nomu before the last punch. Looked way more intimidating but float is cool too
I feel it gives Deku the vibe of someone who is in complete control of the situation, someone whos mind is way ahead the current moment.

His arms are damaged, but its different from before, the damages he took before are damaging his body from inside and outside, cuz his body is not strong enough to handle it, but the current damages he took just damaging his outside body, like a scar but heavy, but his inside in fine
I really luv this new Deku, like how he use his Quirk and communicate with past user to save people and fight is so cool🥳 it's like he became matured and badass hero🤯 he even use smoke quirk to conceal his identity👍

His arms blow up less using 45% control using 100% than 5% control using 100%. 5% he was going 20 times his limitations. Today he uses a bit more than twice his limitations. BIG improvement but still dangerous.
The way i understand it, imagine a guy who can only do 5 push ups doing 100 and a guy who can do 45 push ups doing 100. Both will have their arms messed up at the end but the second one will clearly be better off

The prison break was same night of war, then when we cut to see Bakugo in hospital, a transition of 2 days is shown (ch 298). Uraraka narrates transition of 3 days with Pro hero press conference (ch 306), then it shows Deku left. So at least 5 days passed minimum (definitely less than a month). And note in manga of Recovery Girl to help aid quick recovery to those at hospital (ch 309).
Black wipe is basically tanking all the hits and supporting his body.
Just to say this out loud. Deku isn’t just stronger than he’s ever been. He is DEAD inside and torn to shreds emotionally. He is a SUCH a badass fighter and I won’t deny it. But you are starting to see him in a state I can only describe as living hell. His eyes are lacking a lot of light. Deku carries the burden of every hero, every holder, and knows he’s the best chance there is to fight AFO. He has accepted the mantle All-Might gave him and placed a country’s weight on his shoulders. And for Deku? THAT is an IMMENSE weight to hold.
you can hear it in his voice too. It's more exhausted, his voice stays the same pitch, almost monotone. Even his character looks slightly shaded darker even in day time.
@@tobofu5978 this is going to be a ROUGH arc for me. Ugh. Remembering when I went through this state is even hard to put reflection on because it was such a strain.
Also, I did research the smokescreen to see how much has changed from All-Might’s usage to Deku’s. (Provided it is smokescreen on All-Might.) The way it leaks off Deku is EXACTLY the same on close ups especially. I see it how All-Might has yellow lightning and Deku has green lightning. Wish there was more foggy atmosphere he created, but I do love my purple.
The Izuku we know before and the Izuku we see now are VERY different in so many angles. Gone is the excited Izuku who would gleam when he’s alongside top heroes or shout Detroit Smash with so much emotion, the only thing he can think about now is saving everyone by defeating villains and taking on All for One, and like you said, it is such a huge burden to hold on your own at a very young age. He’s a very selfless hero, too selfless to the point where he doesn’t hesitate to leave U.A in order for his friends to be safe. While he doesn’t mind holding this burden for everyone, it is affecting him so much without him realizing it and you can see it in his dark/empty appearance and voice. This is a very huge shift from the Izuku who smiled back in season 5 and it really hurts to see.
I feel like Midoriya's progress has been made a bit unclear by some of the pacing of season 5/6 lol. Like it was a brief moment, but during the big fight when Shigraki first woke up and sent out that wave of decay, Midoriya (before he realized it was decay) tried to block it with a kick at 45%. At the time, A LOT was popping off so I think some people didn't even notice he said 45% lol but I was like: '... wait what?! o.0' Because if I remember right, when he fought Overhaul to save Eri, 20% was his MAX - started to hurt at that point. So I was caught off guard when he said 45. Later, Bakugo elaborates that now 'Deku can use 30% NORMALLY and up to 45% on impact.' And you could kinda see the effects of that even before he went to 100% to fight Shigaraki. Like if you look back at the scenes where he rushes to try to help someone, Midoriya consistently gets there first, beating both Bakugo and even Gran Torino. That was his NORMAL speed at that point and they couldn't keep up lol. And I think the reason it threw me was because I didn't take into account the training Midoriya had been doing with Endeavor / All Might. And then of course half of season 5 is dedicated to the villains (Shigaraki's glow up). So we ended up in this situation where Midoriya was mostly off screen for a LONG TIME while we focused on other characters (second half of season 5, and like... the first 6 or so episodes of season 6?) So I think Midoriya had already made TONS of progress and was already far stronger than people realized. It just didn't feel that way cuz... well so much other stuff was going on and we had an OP demon lord awaken lol... Midoriya and Shigaraki are like... you know when you have two siblings? And the younger one has some achievement, like getting a good grade? But at the same time the older one does something way more impressive and that just takes up all the attention? 🤣

I like this dark hero arc and all, but before this it seemed people were little down Midoriya and even back then he had ALREADY gotten about this strong. People were kinda sleepin on my boy Deku but... What can you do when Shigaraki comes out and drops a fire mixtape like that 🤷♂ lol
@@CardiacSoulless yeah, its been mentioned way less this season than the other ones. He only mentioned his 45% once in the war arc (not counting when bakugo was narrating when he said he had to keep up with him). And once when doing the 100% wyoming smash (which everyone knows he can do cause he somtimes goes at 100%). And the second time he mentioned his percentage was in the recent episode. Have seen some people be like ‘’wait what since when could he use that much?’’ In season 2 - 5 it was mentioned alot and was way easier to keep track of.
the big reason for the confusion is in the final act Deku almost never name drops his percentages anymore、 probably cause hes artificially manipulating the output through fa jin and other things
It's been long enough for Hawks and Endeavor to recover enough to do that press conference about Dabi's reveals. Enough for a significant portion of heroes to quit, and for Japan to become a lawless wasteland (but apparently not enough for its citizens to start seriously starving yet). Enough for Deku, Bakugo (at least enough to walk and shout), Endeavor, and Hawks to recover, but not enough for Gran Torino to do the same. Weeks, almost certainly, but probably not months.
Remember how silly that uniform looked back in season one..? Couple accessories, some weathering, a bit of a change in attitude, and... _damn._
To be fair it's not like Deku out-powered him, Grand slapped Muscular with a max power shot from his Vibrate quirk that created a weakness for Deku to take advantage of.
I think they handled the Muscular rematch perfectly. Deku needed to win it quickly and convincingly both to show growth as a character and that he was fit to be operating mostly on his own. By having him exploit the hit Muscular had already taken the writers accomplish the quick win without making Muscular seem weak or power-creeping Midoriya too much right away.
I have that same reaction as AwakeProductions! Everyone made fun of Deku's mask in season 1, but look at him now in season 6. Dark Deku looks so cool, he should wear this mask more often.🤩

I think he can use full cowling at 45% constantly without breaking that's his full power now is what I understood
He only did a minimal amount of damage to his arms basically. He was far more powerful fighting against Shigaraki than against Muscular the first time. So his endurance and durability were much higher. So basically, he didn't take as much damage to his arms using 100% against Shigaraki. It mostly just only damaged his skin and muscles instead of his bones and nerves as well. His bones and nerves can't heal as easily as his skin and muscles.
Okay, I just want to say: your reaction is amazing! I reacted the same way when I saw my boy Izuku clapped Muscular. And, as a manga reader, I was so pleased with how beautiful this episode was done so my happiness was over the roof. Happy to see someone who reacted the same way as I did. Would love to see more of it. Like, I don't want to be the only one THIS happy (or sad because this whole season just makes me cry EVERY episode, and this one too).
And yeah, 45% is 45%. It's not his full power. He can go much further with it. Like later in the story. Of course, I won't tell you in which parts it will be shown.
Really want to say a lot of things but here only one of them: this arc got some many things in this, and I hope that anime deliveries them for all of us.
I think the series had a timeskip of months but less than a year, in the provisional exam arc Yo Shindo (the Vibrate quirk guy) was introduced as a second year, while here he is a third year.

The war was end of March, now in April. Not too much time passed. That school graduation for them took place before Japan apocalypse.
How I see deku's words "This is my full power" is that it's his ability to analyze and use the right tools, not going over board, that is his full power and it's not just going 100% to solve all his problems.
This was the best episode of the season imo
His quirk is called Vibrate or Quake depending on how you translate it, basically he can send intense vibrations through whatever he touches to cause sympathetic vibrations with the molecules.
You remember his mask was supposed to be like the hair and the smile of All Might. He need to use not just because he can't be discovered, but because he can't smile for now.
At this point, Midoriya's been away from U.A. for a couple weeks.

Also do you notice the red bands around his arms? Those are support items similar to the gauntlet he used in the 1st MHA Movie. Basically they can't take his full power and he's using them to brace his arms while they heal.
the comparison to spider-man is pretty spot on, if i remember correctly horikoshi's favorite hero is Spider-Man and I think his direct inspiration for deku. If im wrong someone correct me please but I think im remembering correctly.
You're right Horikoshi is a fan of western comics and star wars as well. A lot of the cities and locations in mha are even named after the planets in star wars like Kamino ward, Jakku city and Dakobah beach park

I know everyone said it already, but it’s only been a couple of weeks since Izuku left U.A. The last battle happened by the end of March and he left on April, which is when school starts in Japan. Also, class 1-A is supposed to be second years by this time, but due to everything that’s been going on, they aren’t officially on their second year.
Ah yes, the classic : "Protagonist beating down a villain they defeated before to show how far they have gone."
Essential for every shounen in existence.
Taking in mind that the damage he suffered was not that bad compared to other times, Recovery girl could heal him pretty fast, those reinforcements are just to keep his arms safe ultil the last match. And the 45% impact was enough to take down Muscular this time because Midoriya knew Shindo's Vibrations made effect on the muscular fibers so in the moment the armor got thin, the fight was over. In a pure 1v1 Midoriya would need to be more trickier, use 100% or do something that you will see in the next chapters

Deku has 2nd 3rd and 4th user quirks left.
Also, deku's body adapted to handle more power, so the damage he did to his arms wasn't as severe. Back when he was told 2-3x more and lose arms, his body could handle 5%. Now he can handle 45% so the 100% blasts weren't as potent
4th is Danger Sense
Muscular is the only villain willing to admit that he really only cares for murdering and All for one is a close second wanting to be the greatest villain. Other villains use some vauge justification that might have some merit but mostley just masks their bloodlust.

I think when he said full power because he said this % percentage of power he can use right now and it's safe for other villains as well because we know at 100% deku obliterated overhaul completely he destroys him at pieces by consecutive normal punches deku didn't want to kill villains

It's been a few weeks in total since the war. The advance tech of central hospital and recovery girl help Deku get better much faster than is normally possible. She healed all of them in fact.

Actually that wasn't 45% he can use 30% but he using 45% like airforce . When making impact for short period of time with muscular deku switched 30% to 45% but when he used to 45% after practice he can stay at 45% too deku doing this because he didn't want to injury his arms again and using those support items on his legs too
even with 5 eps left u still can see Deku's other Quirks too, so don't worry

The war arc lasted a day and it was in December and by April Deku dropped out so like a 4-5 month time skip.
