As a manga reader, I remember people being pissed when the reason why Deku could still use his arms was revealed. It's hilarious seeing anime onlies immediately understand and accept that Deku is stronger, therefore, OFA doesn't damage him as much.
Haha me as manga reader already thought that it didn't make sense if the damage would be as severe as before, with a percentage increase from 5% to 45%. So I was validated. lol
I notice this a lot with mha discourse. The anime onlies are WAY more chill, whereas the manga readers seem to look for fights everywhere they go, even when it doesn't make sense
@YaBoyRockLee That and also outright mentioned by author in character bio that she had some stress for a sense of guilt, as is likely related with her son growing up quirkless as he did. Basically raising him as a single mother (father with working post abroad).
@@YaBoyRockLee I’ve seen enough jacked old people in the gym to know that’s CAP! If you DONT touch grass & sit on your ass all day rather than exercise & eat right, then obviously you’re gonna put on weight
@@ImaBobbyMudda correct. It’s normally to put on weight at that stage in life especially a woman having a kid. Diet and exercise can prevent that. 17:24 - Yes, Shindo's vibration wasn't in vain to weaken Muscular, and allowed Deku to take care of things much easier. That's what Deku was referring to that he didn't notice while he was moving around. The subtitle translation maybe could've been better to reflect that.
Yea, the translation was weird. I just went back to the chapter, and Deku was basically giving Shindo props for training up his quirk. With the subs, I thought Deku was attempting to shit talk Muscular by saying he didn't realize that Vibrate was effective.
From what I gathered, Shindo loosened up the muscle fibers, and instead of getting rid of the loose fibers, Muscular just made new ones on top of the old ones.
8:32 Muscular put that rock in his eye socket because he used to have a set of different glass eyes that he would wear depending on the situation. During his original fight with Deku, once he realized that Deku was a worthy opponent, he switched out the eye he was wearing for his "serious eye" that he only wears when he goes all out. He doesn't have any of his glass eyes anymore since going to prison, but he substituted it with a rock to try and recreate the feeling of wearing his serious eye.
@@zebimicio5204 the old one from "costume alpha" has a transparent part glass-like respirator. The new faceguard since "costume beta" until now is metal with holes.
I'm liking the direction of your problem solving strategy for crime fighting and civilian protection. I have my own ideas that are similar, but take a slightly different approach. In my opinion, the best plan moving forward is to prioritize prevention instead of waiting until the moment of attack. To do that, society will have to mobilize far more people than just heroes. They need heavier focus on social programs like education and health care, as well as legal reform and concerted efforts to end quirk discrimination. Focus on meeting people where they are and helping them live their best lives without having to repress their quirks or personalities. Like how Toga snapped because she was told to just be "normal." Like how Twice resorted to villainy because he was alone in the world and needed money and companionship. Like how Shigaraki and Dabi grew to hate heroes because they got overlooked. And like how Spinner was radicalized after a lifetime of being treated as sub-human. All those people who are taking up arms (and the ex-heroes who realized they didn't want to put their lives on the line) could re-direct their efforts to creating and maintaining a more tightly-knit and wholistic community which strives to make sure every person is taken care of, instead of waiting for them to resort to violence and then arresting them. That seems to be in line with Deku's current "understand the villains" mindset too.
well the plot right now in the manga is stupid, deku still wants to save shigi XD, their prioritizing saving this villains rather than prevention of more casualties, nah we are batman we dont kill even the price are innocent peoples hahaha what a stupid as batman syndrome
@@johnweebfps I don't think you understand the message that Horikoshi has been trying to put across this entire series. All of the "Villains" in this society are, at their root, connected by one phrase, "One Bad Day". If with all the faults of this society Horikoshi has emphasized, the end result was just the simple "kill the monster society created" with no conflict of emotion or nuance around that, then what does that say? That any and all Evils committed by society, as long as they hold up the common concept of "greater good", and act so as the people who live within it aren't *Inconvenienced* in their lives are acceptable? Nay deserving of killing for? Well, that would certainly say something about that society wouldn't it? we're not saying that Killing Shigi isn't the right way to go, what we're saying is that it's a nuanced situation, and that simple black and white answers are what got this society into it's situation in the first place.
It took Deku all his might to defeat Muscular in Season 3. But now with half of his quirks awakened, he was able to beat him without taking any damage.
Bruh this is definitely the Justice League. We have kid Batman, NightHawk, a fire version of Aquaman, Toshinori as Alfred, and what's Best Jeanist even supposed to be?
Ah. The Training line is in reference to Shindo. Its a very weird line because he's essentially just trying to say "Shindo your training must've made you stronger than you realized" because it allowed Deku to exploit Muscular's weak point
So... Turtlenecks quirk "grants her the ability to make her head, body and limbs retract into themselves, similar to a turtle". That girl is basically quirkless and became a hero, shes a real one.
She can dodge attacks easier (as we saw in license exam), maybe good more specific for rescue to fit in small places, and imagine her with extra force for punch or a kick with telescopic use of limbs. Apparently she has those supermoves in manga datebook.
Idk if you caught it but the kids from the school were actually in the third season during the license exam. Also Shindo quirk is honestly very OP. It had a ton of destructive power. Downside is that since he is a hero he rarely has a chance to use his power to it's fullest as it could hurt a lot of people if he is not careful.
Very weird that the Smokescreen quirk yields purple smoke. I've read the manga (but haven't read any data books, etc.) and as far as I remember, it didn't mention said color.
The episode showed why strategy is always needed in a fight/battle. Muscular never had real strategies in fights, and no real defense, he just overpowered people and loved the thrill of violence. Its one of the reasons he lost to Deku yet again.

Deku doesn't absolutely refuse to kill Shigaraki (as he says, "Maybe there's no other way besides killing to stop him" by the end). He just wants to try another option first before it as last resort. He's idealistic with that goal to save, but not naive to completely ignore that option to kill. Even Hawks tried to reason with Twice before killing him.
