Hi, sure thing. The adapter brand is a shop from AliExpress called LimitX, it comes with the cap as well as 3 ND filters. The link for it is in the description. The filter I used for it is the 40.5mm from K&F concept, but you could find any 40.5mm of your choice.
@@Arondir1337 Yes and no. It would probably work in normal mode but not macro mode as when in macro mode the lens barrel is 1mm away from the glass. Adding the adapter would definitely cause a lens error if you go into macro mode.
@@timothysi As long as you remove it the same way as how I removed the JJC filter in my previous video. It should be fine since both of them use 3M tape 👌🏻
@@elijahteves26 To answer your first question. Yes that would be possible, but I wouldn’t recommend it as it will become too fragile. As now you would have a very wide filter with the sides sticking out without support, there might be a chance it catches onto something and ripping the front element off.
@@elijahteves26 To answer your second question. Sadly, I have not found any out there with just the adapter alone. But I’m sure in the future, other third party manufacturers would copy the idea.
There’s a photographer that goes by “mightykills” and he modded his griii with stacking two 49mm filters without an adapter, but keeping it small and compact. I’m not sure how he did it.

I have 49mm filters, but I can get this threaded 40.5mm and add a step-up ring so I can use my 49mm filters? Do you think it’ll still be compact?
