It is February 29th, 2024, I got off work a couple hours ago and wanted to hear “Can I have this dance” by Anne Murray. So, I TH-cam’d it and this video popped up. So, glad I came across this because she sang some really good songs! I am 51 & grew up listening to Anne Murray because my mom LOVED her and her music! I use to watch my mom sing to her songs. My mom has since passed away, but listening to Anne’s songs brings joy to my heart cause it reminds me of my mom and her love for country music. ❤ Thank you, Anne, for some great memories! (By the way, my kids would make fun of me for listening to “old” music like this. 😂 Just goes to show ya, they have NO taste in good music!)

A few years ago I was in St Augustine, Fl on the way home. I stopped at a convenience store. I had my iphone in my pocket playing "Make Love To Me." That song was written in 1955 a year before I was born. She recorded it in I think 1980. Anyway, the line was backed down the isle. The store crew was young and totally goth in dress, black and pale faced with multicolored hair. Yet as I approached the checkout the young girl started singing with the song and I joined in, we did a duet as Anne led us. She didn't miss a word or a tone. She was awesome. It broke the tension in the store as we all waited. The crowd gave us a standing ovation, well they were standing in line so there wasn't much choice there but we all had fun. I had to ask, "You are too young to know this music, how do you know this?" Her reply, "I was raised by my Grandmother." You never know who you will influence, it goes on....a pebble in the lake.
A remarkable story. I had an eating disorder ( anorexia) But I loved The Lord. 1990 had no records tapes of Anne, but ordered The Best of Anne Murray from the TV. I used to sleep 12: midnight till 4:00 am. Then get ready for work. Many nights instead of sleeping I would listen to Anne, and drink health tea. The time went so fast. I knew Jesus was healing my mind. Started writing and everything rhymed. Still writing
She's still the BEST,even She's been retired a long time. I had the privilege of visiting with Anne's mother in SPRINGHILL. Her mother had just celebrated her 92nd birthday. I called MRS. MURRAY, and she told me to come on over. We had a lovely visit. She's been gone to heaven for many years, but I wouldn't take anything for that visit. Now, Bruce and David are gone to heaven. I know that Anne misses them all very much!!!!!
Can I Have This Dance was our wedding song for our first dance as husband and wife. My husband died in 2003. But that song strikes a sentimental chord every time Anne sings it. I hold the song in my heart.

As I was watching/listening to Anne Murray and remembering where each song took me and who I was visiting, I wondered how many lyrics she's got stored under that perfect hairdo. Anne, you will never know how many men/women you've affected emotionally, romantically and positively with each note you never miss.. You're living my life.Thank you, Truly.
There isn't anything else to say, She's so cool. Added that she's a Nova Scotion too. Thank you Anne, I know sometimes it's been hard. You brought joy to my life.
I’ve been listening to Anne Murray for almost all my life, and I’m 43 years old. I watched the whole thing, and I absolutely loved it. I was singing along with her on so many of her songs. Thank you very much for posting this. 😊❤️
I just watched this and totally enjoyed it! I hadn't planned on watching the whole show but it was so delightful! A great reminder of what 'real music' and talent is. Thanks Anne! Hope you are still doing well and know that people still dig your music!

My only dream, to meet her and maybe sing with her🤗 God bless you Anne. ❤️ Just a closer walk/ Take my hand, You needed me, A million more, Just another girl, Yucatan cafe, everyone of them ❤️
Began watching Anne on Singalong Jubilee, and I've loved her for so many years ,met her once in the 70's. still have that pic. she's always been my favourite.
I love Anne Murray, and I'm so grateful this special was shared with us. It brought tears to my eyes because my mom also loved Anne Murray and "Could I Have This Dance" was her favorite song. I took my mom to an Anne Murray concert, and I treasure it, as it was the last concert we shared before my mom passed away in 2010. Thank you for helping me relive a special time with my mother.
I've always loved Anne Murray's voice and songs. I was blessed to see her in Cheyenne, Wyoming once. I'd love to see her in concert again. What a great video!

You were my favorite female vocalist growing up. I was so lucky to get to see you in my early 20’s in Lake Tahoe. You are only 11 years older than me. The songs you sang were so relatable and I still love them to this day. My sister worked for Helen Reddy. People use to confuse you two. O e time Helen ended up signing your name when she was doing an autograph at the airport. She said Anne Murray would have done it for me. You still look great. I think you made a difference in so many people’s lives. You opened the door for women to be financially independent and to not compromise their integrity by trying to be something they are not. Helen Reddy was very similar in that regard. So maybe that is why people got you confused-you both deserved every award you won!
In these days of autotune and many singers sounding so much like the next one, it's gratifying to hear Anne Murray. You'd never mistake her voice for anyone else.
I say this often, especially when talking about singers of today. I feel so lucky to have grown up in the 60s/70s. When these new artists come on, it's rare you can tell right away who they are. I think Adele and Lady Gaga stand out.... but back in the day, you knew if Anne/Olivia/Linda/Bonnie/Karen were on the radio, you just KNEW.
TODAY IS APRIL14 SUNDAY EARLY MORNING I STARTED WATCHING ANNE MURRAY'S RSVP SHOW LAST 2003..I'M UP AND I WILL LISTEN TILL IT ENDS.I LOVE ANNE MURRAY FOR ALL THE BEAUTIFUL SONGS SHE 'S SINGING..IT ALSO REMINDS ME OF MY MOM SINCE SHE LOVE ALL THE SONGS THAT ANNE MURRAY SINGS..❤❤❤
I saw Anne in concert years ago in Toronto, and I so wish I could see her again. Maybe one day I'll be able to get back to Springhill to see her museum, and if I'm REALLY lucky, she'll pop in.
Beautiful and enjoyable. Particularly liked the ending. "Could I Have This Dance" and "Wintry Feeling" are two of my favorites of hers. Had never heard "Black Rum and Blueberry Pie" or "Song for the Mira" before, but they have quickly become favorites.
I was in the CBC 10th floor studios that snowy, cold February evening in 2003 for this taping. There was a draw for free tickets to the show. Several friends & my mom were called with the news that our names were selected. Six of us ended up going. I do catch a quick shot of my mom & I sitting in the first row of the bleachers. I'm pretty sure if I watch it again that I'll see my friend's father more prominently. He was "senior-citizened" into a ringside seat. The night was thrilling. Anne in great spirits .. Commercial breaks were never so enjoyable. Wonderful to see it again! She was one of a kind .. Damn retirement.. Lol
I'm sorry I missed this live . I've had a huge crush on this beautiful and talented woman. Anne was my first and celebrity love . I fell in love with her voice and then seen how truly beautiful she was and still is . So many decades ago. She's just as gorgeous and her voice is still beautiful. At 65 some of her songs still make my eyes tear up. If I could only spend an evening with her just talking and getting to know her personally before my time on earth is up. It will be greatest gift I could ever have .

Its so good to have all these beautiful songs to go back to...I grew up listening to them all...love every song you sing Ann
One of the greatest Canadian singer who has ever lived.

Anne Murray's voice is like an aged bottle of wine. Every year it gets better with age.

Anne Murray, her voice, her poise, her talent to remember the lyrics of all the songs, her down to earth personality!
I so enjoy Ann Murray’s songs. Thank you
I play her songs every day absolutely love her songs and Dawn s songs as well
yeah absolutely I’ve been married for 32years I was 24 and she was 20. She got cancer in 2020 I was totally lost without her. She took a major hit the treatment was horrible for her. I could do nothing to change any thing so I felt helpless.. I miss her everyday. Mothers are the glue that holds everyone together.
seeing this makes me miss her even more I come to this page all the time just to have that nostalgia 🥺😢😢
im irish living in england and always enjoyed anne murray songs great and beautiful music
A true talent,what a fantastic performance.
So maybe that is why people got you confused-you both deserved every award you won!
wow, loved this woman...what amaizing voices...not tiring listening to her music
Such a pleasure to see and hear Anne perform live, thank-you uploader. Her songs from the 70's and 80's will always be irreplaceable classics, for me.
I don't there will be another great song after " you needed me by Anne" no offense to other great artists.
I knew someone was going to bring up auto tune. It was a matter of time.
Where has this beautiful song been all my life? I have never been so heartbroken by lyrics, or so moved by such sweet guitar playing. Thank you.
Wondering which song you’re talking about.
Brings back the “good ole days”!!! 💕🌸💕
I saw Anne in concert years ago in Toronto, and I so wish I could see her again. Maybe one day I'll be able to get back to Springhill to see her museum, and if I'm REALLY lucky, she'll pop in.
Grew up listening to her! My whole Family felt the same! Loved her voice, songs and she was a beautiful Classy Lady!
Beautiful and enjoyable. Particularly liked the ending. "Could I Have This Dance" and "Wintry Feeling" are two of my favorites of hers. Had never heard "Black Rum and Blueberry Pie" or "Song for the Mira" before, but they have quickly become favorites.
I cried through the whole show. Thank You Ann.
Lol
Timeless! Luv Ms. Murray! 🤩😍🥰💜💜
She is my hero love everything about her thank you Anne
This show I have not seen before, its so beautiful and most entertaining !
