- Thanks to Patricia Oliveira for requesting this logo history. Welp, another logo history. This time It's a kids company. Credit for all logos and captures belong to everyone who made them, no matter if they are the copyright owner, in which they are shown in this video. DiC Entertainment is a company focused on kids. It is known for making The Real Ghostbusters, Inspector Gadget, The Littles, and many more. Their company shut down in 2008.

Sitting here on a Saturday morning, watching TV. And reminiscing about my childhood on Saturday Mornings as a kid in the late 80s and early 90s. Thinking about all the Cartoons my brother and I used to watch. Whiles my Mom was making breakfast. And for some reason this came to mind. DiC would come on after the ending of a Cartoon. Although I am 40 now, I still can remember this.

DIC Entertainment was founded in 1971, in Paris, France.
It was originally supported by Radio Television Luxembourg (RTL).
It was founded as Diffusion, Information Communications.
In 1986, DIC worked with LBS Communications (originally called Lexington Broadcast Services Inc.) to produce Kideo TV.
They could've just picked... a better acronym?

I always used to watch Inspector Gadget. I never paid attention to logos as a little kid, since I am older it’s cool to see what kid’s in the 80’s & 90’s watched back then & cool to see what the DIC logo looked like in the 80’s & 90’s. (I was born in 95.) And the DIC logo music is pretty cool too, I like the female choir one the best!

On June 20, 2008, DIC Entertainment was acquired by the Cookie Jar Group and it was folded into it.
but did anything ever come of it afterwards? I know the Cookie Jar Group were only around for another five or six years after that.
The "kid in bed" one is the one that I was most familiar with. Just hearing a little kid saying "deek" made me laugh. I always thought that the voice of this kid on the faster pan out the window version sounded too sad.
I'll always remember this company for the creation of Inspector Gadget and also for making the first three Sonic cartoons

I used to hate Sailor Moon when I was little toddler but as a young woman I love it, I love Sailor Moon, I definitely love the anime forever, my big sister and I watch Sailor Moon, Boy Meets World, Family Matters and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch reruns on UPN 33 (which is now My33) during summertime in the late 90s. By the way, Viz Media owns Sailor Moon now.

On the French VHS release of Sylvanian Families has an audio error, where the child says "DiC" twice, with the other one sounding slightly more quiet. The 1987 Coca-Cola Telecommunications jingle can also be heard towards the end.

Some variants you forgot is "Cro et Bronto" (basically one of the first appearances of the 1979 logo.), Ulysses 31 and many more. But still, good logo history of my main influence on my art style in later years, along with Club Penguin.

4:41 I saw this on reruns of the FIlmation Archie cartoon library of the 1960's and 1970's on The Family Channel (pre-Fox Family, ABC Family, now Freeform) in the early-mid 1990's (1993-1994) under the DIC banner/catalog/library, had this too.

The 1980 logo is intact on Season 1 episodes of Dennis the Menace on Boomerang. And the 1987 version of the 1987 logo is intact of Season 2 episodes of said show.
4:41 was my favorite because of the intriguing music and I remember when I was little after every show that involved this logo it just seems so fun to see. I felt like it completed the cartoons just to see because it felt so cool to look out into space when I was a child. And nothing ever takes away those memories.

I remember some of my childhood cartoons from DiC Entertainment back in the 90s and 2000 beyond that I used to watched when I was young like: Super Dave:Daredevil for Hire, Hammerman, The Mask, Ace Venture Pet Detective, Pro Stars, King Arthur abd the Knights of Justice and Mary Kate and Ashley in Action. I wished they're on the entire complete DVD collection so I can enjoy watching them again but at least I can watched them on TH-cam until then.

It was a typo. Long story short, many of these type of logos (especially if they were brought out by a certain company like Cookie Jar) plaster the original logo in their music.
