I love when Cody does the sweet things for you, like help you with your hair, or when his gruff gets up at the thought someone might hurt you. Nowadays it is all about men being tough. You can see the love you both have for each other and to me that is such a breath of fresh air. I am lucky and I have a good southern man, and he takes his job of caring for me and our boys very serious. He will literally get up at 3 AM to make breakfast for our autistic son never complaining he has to get up at 6 to go to work. I this in Cody, he seems so serious most of the time then boom he is laughing at himself. And Summer you are just the cutest little thing and your faith that Cody can do anything he tries is so sweet.
He sweet couple, building your place takes time....and fit what is worth, take that time....not the goal is important, but the way to the goal. Be happy to create your future home...youre doing a great job. I live in a recyceld gipsy wagon. It took me 4 years to build my stable, workshop, woodshed... On my own, with now and then some help and now i am busy with my house.... I appologyzed top, but people should realize Hoe much work it is... Cody look into Lincoln Electric welder, my hubby had the one you had and then bought this one because it does do much more and is not hard on the wallet like that one. Not saying that one is bad it does the job, but the Lincoln one also can hook up to gas to if you want since I remembering Cody says he likes that so much better that way if he does want to do that one day he already has one part of the tool he would need. Just a thought.
i love the new intro. Its way more positive! But dang, don't make your wife sit under weld sparks.. get a stick to prop up the steel and get her out of there before you weld.
I am so proud of you both! When I was out there Friday I could not believe all the progress that you have made! It looks AMAZING! BTW...before the insulation and drywall go up, I want to write something on the wall!🤣 Love you both!❤
Kinda temporarily but we have been looking at a few others. We might move this one to the storage building and get a nicer one for the house. We are not sure yet.
Hey guys when it rains all you are gonna have is mud....red mud and i know this from experience cause my cheap ass brother used free dirt to fill holes in our driveway instead of gravel and it was fine until it rained and holy shit there's nothing but mud now which if mud don't bother you then no problem but i had just bought a new car and it stays with mud caked under the fender wells and all down the sides all the time now so yeah just a heads up
Oh yeah we already have a ton of mud! Were used to this because Texas is a lot of of red clay. Since were still in the construction phase it’s not a huge deal. We will repair what we consider our “backyard” after we’re done building!

Why did you choose a lagoon over a leach field? Is it because there isn’t enough flat area for a leach field? Enjoying the build so far.
A couple reasons! It’s what the sanitarian recommended, because its a lot of clay it would cost more and be more labor for Cody!
