I had dozens of Bmws, Few Lexus and Mercedes-Benz. I can honestly say, from my experience in the past, I can say Lexus cars are reliable but boring , BMW cars offer performances and driving dynamics. Mercedes-Benz gives sense of quality, luxury very balanced cars. I would stay with Mercedes-Benz.
I own a 2008 c180 kompressor with 140.000km. So far changed nothing other than light bulbs. Everything inside works and there is no signs of wear at all. Im planning to keep this car for a long time.
My 2014 C200 is reaching 6 years. Very solid car...very reliable. Just make sure change the all the fluid regularly and it will go more than 200'000km easily. I dare say this car is close to W124 standard. Maintaining this car is super easy with many trusted workshop which are competing for your business. Likewise part price are very competitive due to too many parts dealer in Klang valley. Very easy to get original and oem parts.
Well, the price. Different levels of engine tuning. One has more hp n torque with the same capacity. That is all. The rest depends on what you specced when you bought it.
Added servicing costs for the extra mechanical smoothness. More spark plugs and maybe extra bits here and there in the very long run but i think that came in the prefacelift model here in msia so it depends. Performance wise it will be about the same due to turbo vs n.a torque and also added weight in the nose in extreme cornering. But everyday drive it will be nicer sounding mechanically. Actually could hv gotten a grey import slightly older amgline c300 at the same price but i chose to buy a new car. The choice is yours
@@MotoringMalaysia Thanks for your opinion. Am seriously considering W204 as my first 3 pointed star. Looking to change from my E46. I do hope the W204 is not as manja the Bimmer.
for a used car...i find the mercedes benz better in terms of reliability and cheaper parts here in malaysia. Better to drive? the bmw, but the feeling that you've made it in the world? the c200.
No idea as i bought mine new. U should always have a check list for all cars u buy used. Do ur research there are many websites who tell u what is and whats not. Here in malaysia the local ckd models are better tropicalised.
I have the same exact 2012 C-class with a Avantgarde specs. its a great car to drive especially around town. However, I have experienced a few problem with one of them is steering adjustment failure. Have you encountered such problem before?
The car you have is very nice and I am interested in purchasing a used W204 (250CGI) 2013, any major things to look out for before proceeding with the purchase of a used car dealer...
Hard for me to comment actually. My car only hit 100k km recently and its basically been regular service or fluid changes and only a passenger side power window bracket change, two rear shocks, brake discs n pads over the years. And tyres. Nothing to report so i may not be a good example of high mileage users.
Yes. Lower equipment levels, but I like it because it is low tech...so long term maintenance costs are so much lower. Being extremely lazy, this is the perfect low maintenance Mercedes for me.

Honestly i never keep track. But id say an average of 9.5l per 100km as i dont really bother on being light footed and its more urban driving than highways. If i wanted to save money, id bought a 1.0liter Perodua

well too bad you have a bike chain instead of a real timing chain driving the cams...

Thank you for the sharing. Would you recommend the NA C250 2.5 V6 engine over the C180?

the mercedes c200 w204 2009-2010 model has soft touch plastic dashboard panel or not??
Uk japan and Malaysian spec all soft touch from what i have seen
