Hi friends! So sorry, I mixed up the order of two clips in the Vert Desir section and it sounds weird. I was trying to say that Veronique Gabai prides herself on using the highest quality materials in her perfumes.
Mint in perfume sounds interesting and fresh. I have always steered clear of anything like that as I felt it would be like using aromatherapy….I find that mint really irritates my eyes. Is this perfume much softer or does it have that punch of mint? I am intrigued by your description.

@tjodine2433 I can't imagine that the chemical used to create the mint smell in these perfumes would be strong enough to irritate your eyes, but please sample first to be sure.

Agreed, you aren’t spraying enough! I typically get one compliment each time I go out with fragrance applied 😊. I also layer my fragrance with body oils so it can last all day. I used to spritz 1-2 times and walk through it and never got a compliment.

Bergamot...yummmmm. I fell in love with this on Fire Island showering with a bergamot gel in the guest bath. Couldn't get enough. The sad thing is bergamot doesn't last long. It's very much a top note when I want it to be a bass note and last throughout the fragrance.

I had a work event for two days last week and considered option carefully for perfume: clean/professional or boss b*tch or calming. I went with clean safe. No one cared. So I feel you on the nonreaction . Also these days who knows if it's even appropriate to comment? I have no idea but now I can't get that song out of my head. Also your experience with still made me chuckle... the gentleman that may have been under the influence.❤
Yeah. 😢 The type of events I went to and the sort of colleagues I have would feel comfortable saying something. So maybe I just didn't smell as amazing as I thought or no one cared or something. 😆
If these are your close colleagues they probably expect that you always smell awesome... I find the younger ones (gen z , millenials) are way more into fragrance

I've wanted Bubble Bath forever but have been so afraid to buy it due to those dang fragrantica reviews(and I KNOW BETTER!🙄) You talked me into it when I find it at a good discount! Gold Coast sounds wonderful! I had no idea those were subway tokens on the bottle, how cute! Is Florbotanica still available? That's a good one. The new Valentino Green Stravaganza is a nice fresh scent but I haven't given it a full wear yet. Nishane Wulong Cha is great for the heat!! Eau de Soleil Blanc & Ocean Di Gioa too! Le Labo Another 13 is a must for me❤ I don't get out often having Leukemia, but when I do go to my appointments I'm always sad when I don't get a compliment on my very expensive, well-chosen (😂) fragrances😕🤨😒😭

Great selection Veronica 😊. Hydra sounds lovely and you have me thinking about Bubble Bath again😂. I've been curious about the Acqua Colonia brand for a while now. My favorite fresh and clean scents at the moment are: Glossier You, Hermès Twilly Eau Ginger, Cacharel Noa, Gold Coast, Wulong Cha, Narcotic Flower, Wonder Rose and Rose Greedy. I just feel super crisp and feminine in these scents, not so much soapy with them all but crisp! Thanks for sharing ❤

Herba Fresca was too grassy for me but I did like the opening. I need to try Vert Desir. Lime & Nutmeg is so sharp to me in the beginning but the drydown is gorgeous!
You might not love Vert Desir either, then, since it's a bit grassier than Herba Fresca. I think the Dermstore has travel sprays of it if you want to give it a whirl without committing to a full bottle. 👍👍👍
I recently tried the Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Flora Salvaggia, which has a Melon note in the opening and i absolutely love it for the summertime as it is on the fresher side. Might wanna give it a sniff if you haven't yet.

You might want to see if you can find a perfume called Costa Rica instant vacation by Mark it came out in 2009 the notes are watermelon, guava ,mango blossom ,orchard musk,sand,driftwood I don’t know if you can still get it but the watermelon is stunning and I haven’t found any other perfume that has this particular juicy watery watermelon note it might just be what you’re inner child is looking for💖

Hey Veronica! I always enjoy watching your videos!!! Out of all these fragrances in this video, I have 1. And that’s HighLine from Bond no9. I think it’s a beautiful scent!! Now, I think I may have over sprayed it because I ended up getting a headache from it. Kinda turned me off to it. Going to give it another shot but this time I’ll go a little lighter. I’m like you too, when you think you smell amazing, and you’re around people. And nobody mentions anything about your fragrance. You’re like, “what the heck??!!!”🤣🤣 I always make sure to compliment someone when they smell good. I figure some people don’t like to compliment others. Not sure why, but 🤷🏻♀️

Another watermelon fragrance is Flora Salvaggia from the Aqua Allegoria line from Guerlain ❤️ it's a green, slightly earthy watermelor, like you just picked one from the garden, and then comes the juiciness and some floral nuances ❤️❤️❤️

I bought Still on your recommendation and I was not happy with it, until, I smelt it on my sister. It was so beautiful and sweet on her. On me, it was bitter lol. But I get it why you love the fragrance. I gave it to my sister so she can smell nice wearing this.

I have a niche tip for you I bought yesterday: LYE by Gabriella Chieffo. All scents of this house are cool, special & pretty, but LYE is a green scent for the heat, with a touch of clean incense: works great. Many compliments for me on the Saturday party 😅

The only watermelon fragrance I can recommend is Simone from Tocca but it is more of a “perfumery” watermelon. But it’s nice and sweet.

My current favorite “clean” fragrance are Carolina Herrera Good Girl Blush. I forgot how long lasting it is! I also pair it with B&BW Champagne Toast or Gingham Goreous (CT being my fave) so there's that. 😆
I also love Wulang Cha X. Hubby recently emptied his first bottle and I gifted him a big bottle. We love it!💕💖

I'm going through a bottle of Still right now. To me, it smells like lemon iced tea for awhile then mellows out with the sandalwood. I also found a 1 oz bottle of Trussardi Donna for just $23 to try and I really love that (not sure it qualifies as clean). I'd probably repurchase both of those. ~Cynthia

I just got a Tocca sample set and I'm rather taken with Simone, which has a nice watery and juicy watermelon note. It doesn't smell like a jolly rancher to me and smells lovely from start to finish, despite changing in the drydown. I'm planning to search for a discounted or partial bottle! I have Adidas Get Ready for my boiled sweet watermelon lol

💖💕💫Ah yes! Another top notch list 😍 I love vert désir! thank you! As for a melon scent: cucumber melon b*tch (sorry) by Sucreabeille is the closest thing I found to melon that’s not jolly rancher-y. It dries down to watermelon with a hint of musc added to the melon. I think this is what prevents it from being candy-like. It’s a guilty pleasure, it lasts 6-7hrs and is really lovely. It is not available right now but their scents come back in rotation, it will be back eventually.

High Line is gorgeous and that bottle with the grass and tulips is stunning to look at. I feel so rejected when nobody notices my perfume. Davidoff Echo for men is one of my favorite "so fresh and so clean" scents😛 It was a Tj max find. I would love to test Hydra from your list. I love watermelon.

Hi Veronica, I see Estee Lauders Pleasures for women on your tray behind you, right underneath your lamp. I couldn't tell you how many bottles I lost of that fragrance, that I absolutely adore, due to it going bad way too fast, & easy. Probably from light, &/or heat. I don't buy it anymore because of that. Just thought I'd pass that along is all. Love you~! Hope you're having a very BLESSED by our Lord, Sunday~! :)

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for clearing up the “men’s fragrances” vs “cologne” for me!🤣🤣🤣 my whole life It was always called cologne if it was for a man, but then recently I’ve been seeing people talk about men’s fragrances and I was so confused thinking that it must be something different than a cologne.🤣🤣🤣🤣 so when I would see a man’s cologne that said EDP on it I would get so confused and not sure if I was supposed to call it a cologne or a man’s fragrance 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙈🙈🙈 but now I finally understand🙌🏻 they just changed the name😋😋😋
Yes, it's just one of those things. Cologne technically refers to concentration of perfume oil, not men's fragrance. I grew up calling all men's fragrances colognes so I still make that association in my mind. Old habits die hard! 😂

💖 I love still. I also have Wildbloom Vert because I heard it was close to Origins discontinued Spring Fever which I adored. I think the opening is similar but SF had more if a juicy citrus feel and WBV goes more green.
