🌟May was cold and rainy in central Jersey. I was holding on to a couple of my winter scents to use on chilly rainy days like Xerjoff, Ivory Route and BDK, Gris Charnel. It’s finally feeling like Spring and I’ve been loving Thameen, Blue Heart; Good Girl, Blush; Atelier De Ors, Choer Des Anges; Ellie Saab, Le Parfume to name a few. I don’t do trays but I transition my fall/winter to spring/summer. Enjoy the rest of May!

I’m so happy you mentioned narcotic Venus. Not because I’ve smelled it before- but because my very first perfume I ever fell in love with so many years ago was the original Michael! People knew me by that scent. My fiends in high school were wearing Love Spell and Warm Vanilla Sugar and I was bathing in heavy white floral Michael. I was obsessed. So thank you! I’m definitely checking this one out! Also, I have to disagree about the bottles, I love the bottles haha. Anything with a marble or wooden cap I’m a sucker for. So much prettier and classier than an ugly pink Delina in my personal opinion. Please nobody come after me haha

Hi my dear!!!!! Looking gorg (shocker! LOL) I love BARE so much! The bottle even reminds me of Bottega Veneta (the OG). I love Tamarindo so much, each time I wear it I love it more and more and I can't pick a prominent pineapple either. Tribeca is another love of mine, and OMG Heavenly!!!!!!! I remember the very first time I bought it was in a military base in Germany while visiting a friend of ours who was stationed there, and fell in love ever since!!!!!! I'm pretty sure they changed the formula because it's not quite the same anymore but still beautiful; my niece and daughter bought it for me not long ago after I shared with them the story 😍😍

I do have scent memories from some of Victoria Secret scents but I can’t love them and wear them like I used to. We got great news about my Dad’s illness this morning, no cancer! Gap Grass! Yes, I loved it too! (But Om from that line was my favorite and I still have my original aluminum mister of it.) Back to Gap Grass though - I just returned from Target and picked up Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day dish soap and hand soap in their new seasonal "Fresh Cut Grass" scent. And it does remind me of Gap Grass, check it out if you see it! I'll also put in a plug for the other two new ones I saw, Dandelion and Tomato Vine... I bought all three :)
Great video, V! (Can I call you V? 😘) I am so excited about wearing Tamarindo! I got a decant of it during the winter, and while I enjoyed the scent, it didn't jump out to me as that special. Fast forward to May and I went through all my decants to see what needed more attention. When I sprayed Tamarindo, I was instantly in love.... and stayed in love for the drydown, which is the tricky part with me. New spring/summer obsession! Ayesha recently decluttered it (Simply, not AITG), but it was sold on Mercari before I got a chance to grab it, dangit! 😆 I will say, I don't pick up on Coco M - but I don't particularly like it, so I'm glad. It bothers my brain, too. Lol!
I also have a very broad perfume palette. My absolutely favorite scent profile is woody vanillas, but I surf across a broad range of scents. I just seems to have quite the collections of woody vanillas. 🤪
I'm a bit embarassed to say I still have an original bottle of Gap Grass with a little under half still left. I honestly don't think it's safe to spray but just love removing the cap to smell the melon cucumber-y goodness - so nostalgic. lol 💚 I'll have to find my sample of Tamarindo again. I remember thinking it smelled like a deeper, greener version of Twilly d'Hermes, but can also envision what you're saying too... needs another visit! 🌟My May faves this month are a little all over-- been loving Kayali's Rock Sugar for my sweet reach. Also mixing a Gucci ii dupe + L'imperatrice for a fruity fresh vibe... and I just got a sample of Catherine Maladrino's Dream the other day. It has the most intoxicating pineapple/coconut opening and finishes with a clean musk. It has very intimate sillage/projection, but that opening... omggg. So good to see you Veronica! Your skin looks amazing :)

Tamarindo definitely has Coco Mad vibes! From my notes: "first spray reminded me of Sofia (which is always compared to Coco Mad!) then coconut came into the mix. Later the coconut fades and smells more like Sofia again. Pretty but not the best performance" That is what I wrote about it! I've been meaning to give it another test drive but it's so hard to know what to try out each day between my collection and hundreds of samples!! 😫😅 good problem to have lol 😉
✨ Pop Heart was one of my May favorites too! The pineapple comes through very strong to my nose. I’m also loving Miami Nectar and Chevrefuille from Domaine Prive. I never hear anyone talk about that last one but it’s a gorgeous, happy, fresh floral with a bit of a honeysuckle vibe. A top 10 for me!
Now I'm really curious about Tamarindo by Memo. Same happened to me before buying Sherwood, I kept seeing and reading comments that it was light, airy, fresh. Now that I have it I can tell it's none of that. It's actually kinda thick in the air, with a great sillage, leaves a trail for hours and the smell is just gorgeous. Black currant, cashmere, lightly woody. It's a love for me.😊
Sherwood is lovely! Yes, our friend Patrick here generously gifted me a bottle and I treasure it! Give Tamarindo a sniff, especially if you like Coco Mademoiselle.

Veronica, Union Square was my favorite Bond no 9 fragrance for over 10 years. Did you ever try that one? I’ve been wondering if High Line would be a good alternative since Union Square was discontinued. I love hearing you talk about that fragrance house. A work friend who grew up in NYC introduced it to me while I was in college and she spoke about Bond no 9 in a similar way. Hearing you talk about it in your videos makes me happy. I hope the month of June is a happy one for you!
Addictive Vibration, I get apple blossom and reminds me of walking through an apple orchard in the fall with apples on the ground. I only wear it in the fall. I also get orange blossom in there as well.

It was a rather gloomy depressing May for us too. But I'm that weirdo who likes cloudy overcast days. I was craving a lot of Iris scents this month. I’m growing Irises in my backyard currently. Coastal Carolina’s Dixie Iris and Naomi Goodsir’s Iris Cendre made the May list..... two very different styles of Iris but I happen to enjoy them both so much. I have a lot of friends and family with May birthdays so I wore a ton of “going out/special occasion” scents like Initio Side Effect, Alien, Dior Poison (yes, that is the OG Poison I’m talkin’ about!). Girl, they better not be going after our Alien!! And ofc I can't leave out my VS Very Sexy... one of my signatures and biggest compliment getters

I had a really intense month. Ever since I was a teenager, the month of May, has always been the month with the most [change] in my life.. and this one was extra intense. But.. Hi my dear!!!!! Looking gorg (shocker! LOL) I love BARE so much! The bottle even reminds me of Bottega Veneta (the OG). I love Tamarindo so much, each time I wear it I love it more and more and I can't pick a prominent pineapple either. Tribeca is another love of mine, and OMG Heavenly!!!!!!! I remember the very first time I bought it was in a military base in Germany while visiting a friend of ours who was stationed there, and fell in love ever since!!!!!! I'm pretty sure they changed the formula because it's not quite the same anymore but still beautiful; my niece and daughter bought it for me not long ago after I shared with them the story 😍😍

Gap Grass! Yes, I loved it too! (But Om from that line was my favorite and I still have my original aluminum mister of it.) Back to Gap Grass though - I just returned from Target and picked up Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day dish soap and hand soap in their new seasonal "Fresh Cut Grass" scent. And it does remind me of Gap Grass, check it out if you see it! I'll also put in a plug for the other two new ones I saw, Dandelion and Tomato Vine... I bought all three :)

Great video, V! (Can I call you V? 😘) I am so excited about wearing Tamarindo! I got a decant of it during the winter, and while I enjoyed the scent, it didn't jump out to me as that special. Fast forward to May and I went through all my decants to see what needed more attention. When I sprayed Tamarindo, I was instantly in love.... and stayed in love for the drydown, which is the tricky part with me. New spring/summer obsession! Ayesha recently decluttered it (Simply, not AITG), but it was sold on Mercari before I got a chance to grab it, dangit! 😆 I will say, I don't pick up on Coco M - but I don't particularly like it, so I'm glad. It bothers my brain, too. Lol!

I'm a bit embarassed to say I still have an original bottle of Gap Grass with a little under half still left. I honestly don't think it's safe to spray but just love removing the cap to smell the melon cucumber-y goodness - so nostalgic. lol 💚 I'll have to find my sample of Tamarindo again. I remember thinking it smelled like a deeper, greener version of Twilly d'Hermes, but can also envision what you're saying too... needs another visit! 🌟My May faves this month are a little all over-- been loving Kayali's Rock Sugar for my sweet reach. Also mixing a Gucci ii dupe + L'imperatrice for a fruity fresh vibe... and I just got a sample of Catherine Maladrino's Dream the other day. It has the most intoxicating pineapple/coconut opening and finishes with a clean musk. It has very intimate sillage/projection, but that opening... omggg. So good to see you Veronica! Your skin looks amazing :)

YAY! Veronica with coffee! I love these long videos. I have One Umbrella For Two on my wish list. It is so happy and lilting to me. Because I love almost weird scents, the Cannabis Santal sounds fun! I will see if I can find a way to sample it. I wonder how many perfumes there are in the world? Thousands for sure! Tamarindo definitely has Coco Mad vibes! From my notes: "first spray reminded me of Sofia (which is always compared to Coco Mad!) then coconut came into the mix. Later the coconut fades and smells more like Sofia again. Pretty but not the best performance" That is what I wrote about it! I've been meaning to give it another test drive but it's so hard to know what to try out each day between my collection and hundreds of samples!! 😫😅 good problem to have lol 😉

✨ Pop Heart was one of my May favorites too! The pineapple comes through very strong to my nose. I’m also loving Miami Nectar and Chevrefuille from Domaine Prive. I never hear anyone talk about that last one but it’s a gorgeous, happy, fresh floral with a bit of a honeysuckle vibe. A top 10 for me!

Now I'm really curious about Tamarindo by Memo. Same happened to me before buying Sherwood, I kept seeing and reading comments that it was light, airy, fresh. Now that I have it I can tell it's none of that. It's actually kinda thick in the air, with a great sillage, leaves a trail for hours and the smell is just gorgeous. Black currant, cashmere, lightly woody. It's a love for me.😊

Veronica, Union Square was my favorite Bond no 9 fragrance for over 10 years. Did you ever try that one? I’ve been wondering if High Line would be a good alternative since Union Square was discontinued. I love hearing you talk about that fragrance house. A work friend who grew up in NYC introduced it to me while I was in college and she spoke about Bond no 9 in a similar way. Hearing you talk about it in your videos makes me happy. I have a lot of friends and family with May birthdays so I wore a ton of “going out/special occasion” scents like Initio Side Effect, Alien, Dior Poison (yes, that is the OG Poison I’m talkin’ about!). Girl, they better not be going after our Alien!! And ofc I can't leave out my VS Very Sexy... one of my signatures and biggest compliment getters
