Definitely take the draws out first if you plan to try going it alone. It took it from a potential back injury to actually something one could possibly achieve alone. LIKE THE VIDEO SAYS THIS IS NOT THE IDEAL WAY TO ASSEMBLE, CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I got my g/f and her sister to do the lifting (I have a cervical stenosis in my neck that limits me to lifting 8Kg or less). They are gym bunnies so enjoyed the challenge!
I'm laughing at the part where you had to lift the top onto the bottom by yourself because that looks like every assembly/moving job i've ever done...putting cardboard underneath, usually at midnight, and sliding/lifting etc. trying not to get a hernia. well done!
Glad I found your video. Right now today I am waiting fro my 52 inch husky tool box to be delivered. Since I am an old geezer now my plan is to take out the drawers to make it lighter and maybe get some help to put up the top cabinet. I do like the way you put the top cabinet on. My 50 year old brain in my 76 year old body says you can do it like he did if you take out the drawers. may not be a smart idea. We will see. Thanks for the video.
I just received and assembled mine today. I was surprised that they had done away with the center castors. Of course you made this video in 2017 so a lot has changed since then. I used a platform with collapseable legs to gradually get the top case level with the bottom. I used 4x4 s and 2x4 to stack underneath it on the platform until it was high enough. I then just pulled it on top of the bottom cabinet.
I use this box for work and I absolutely love it. It's my first box and for the price was unbeatable and like you said, the best part is the bottle opener lol
My Husky box got delivered yesterday, stacked & wrapped very well but unfortunately on top of each other. I'm 6'2 250lbs very strong ex college football player who tries to use his brain and less brawn as I get older. Lol I've been trying to figure out how the hell am I going to get the top on the floor to disassemble the entire thing then how the hell am I going to get it back on top of each other. Your video gave me some great ideas for this one man show without my Wife getting hurt while trying to help. Nice job!!! 🤙🏾
I jist bought this box and I love it so far, I didn't realize it was supposed to have the plastic things between the top and bottom pieces either until I got the top on there lol
Take drawers out before installing casters. Fixed casters in the middle if you want to move it from both ends. Put them opposite end of the handle otherwise
How did you get it home? I assume you unloaded ity your self. I have a 3/4 ton truck, so moving it won't be a problem. I've worked out some ways of off loading it my self, but haven't pulled the trigger and bought it yet.
I have a question for you. Since you are a one man operation, I am too . Therefore I have to ask. How did you get that heavy thing down to floor level. ? Did you have it delivered or did you pick it up from the store yourself. I am thinking about doing the thing myself but just planning ahead . Thanks.
Hey I assemble mine but the key for the bottom set are not there I saw that you got yours right from the start from opening the box but mine just had a tape saying "key" hanging from the top drawer

Just curious cause the top big drawer on the lower box had a little play side to side that I assume is normal and was just wondering everybody's else's thoughts and opinions + experiences with this box! Fits perfect in a short box ram, drove it 500 km’s in the truck. They fit side by side between the wheel humps and there is about 4 inches left after you close the tailgate. These boxes are heavy enough that they will not move but I ratchet strapped them in with 4 straps to be the safest I could be, wouldn’t want these things flying around in an accident.
Wanted that box but ended up getting the # H52CH6TR7P version last night on sale for around $300 less than yours. Plenty for farting around in the garage and finding my stuff in one place. :D
Oi! Matt!! Stop doing bad lifts! Buy a cheap hoist like I did... after it was already too late. I screwed up my back and am now healing some serious muscle strain, which also led to sciatica, which is some serious pain. You don't want that. Half of 250 is still 125 and anything 50 lbs and over should be a 2-person lift. Get you some pulleys and rope or something!

I had help from my friend. We had to pick it up in two trips using his Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Am I wrong in thinking the non pivoting should be on the side opposite the handle so you can move the box around the shop
I swapped non swiveling casters to end opposite the handle. Slightly less capacity for weight in chest but much more maneuverable.
My drawer liners was packaged nicely in biggest drawer

please do a more in depth review or tool box tour of the box there aren't a lot of videos on this box because it's still pretty new

Do they sell the top cabinet itself? I’m getting the box for 398 but I wanna get the cabinet for mine too.
Why doesn't anyone take the draws out? Trust me, it makes it a lot lighter and easier to assemble.
I guess his "Modern Engineering" thought process didn't make it that far.

When i bought my husky box i never got any drawer liners and i got mine in November of 2017
neither did I. I bought them as a roll (cut to fit) at Lowes.
I just bought this exact box today....... Guess what I forgot to install? Yep, the rubber bumper pads. I said F it. lol
