Man let me tell you from my experience, they aren't too bad, but DROPPING the DECK down and up, I had to use a impact driver to remove the nut, then unbolt the spindle bolts too, nothing bad too it but it is time consuming. Removing the deck, reinstalling it etc. dude thanks for posting the vid hey you could already have helped thousands of people! I work on them, I'm currently fixing seals and gaskets on a 2008 pro series Briggs and Stratton zero turn motor. She'll be ready for reinstallation tomorrow evening. Man coil was Rusty, flywheel was rusty been like that for years I believe. Not to mention the caked up oil and years of grass! Friggin mess. But I just about have er ready. 78% has been doing and hours of cleaning and cleaning

Thanks alot you saved my bacon on my 636m stand on. I did the 2 bolt thing and a puller with no luck pulled the screws put balistal down there came back a couple minutes later she popped right off... THANKS AGAIN YOU NEED A CAPE!!!! FBWW

My helper just went on a tree root hitting spree Friday. Bent the blade and shattered the CAST IRON spindle scag uses😦. I ordered 3 we shall see what happens when they come in

I been working on mowers since I was around 10years old now in my 50's . I work for a briggs dealer then as I got out of high school went to snapper then simplicity and ended up at AYP sears then I just stop got into a different field. But the new mowers they come out with is easier to repair but the parts cost. Maintenance is the key to lawn mowers. Good video and it shows you just don't mower grass you have to repair your equipment.

I was able to open the taper lock with a flat screwdriver and a flat cold chisel.

I just replaced mine and the taper lock doesnt seem to lock back, causing the pulley to float up and down

I think you just have to make sure to tighten it down enough..it will go from lose to you can't move it quick
