I am quite familiar with Stella's work, and find them unartistic and very badly designed and pointless. Especially the latest pieces. Because an artist should not be going backwards, for me this calls into question his entire life's work. I suspect he got away with it when young because people liked the relative simplicity of the early paintings. In the end, I am not buying any of it, and I certainly do not view him as a meaningful or seminal artist in any way.
