Michael Dawson may have gone downhill a little but to say he has been rubbish for Hull is laughable. He has been our best player this season in a campaign almost certainly ending in a playoff final and he was in the team of the season. He was one of our better players last season as well after signing and was sorely missed when injured. I know he has taken a step down to play for Hull but since doing so he has been class by our standards.
It's not very fair to Michu considering he bought out his contract due to his ankle injury that rendered him useless for two seasons basically. Downing as well had an ok career at West Ham. Why not talk about Savio?
@Endergaming Messi has scored in 2 consecutive finals in the UCL against Manchester United, the all-time leading scorer in the El Clasico, scored against Brazil multiple times, and scored in Copa Del Rey finals against Atletico Madrid. What are you on about mate? Im not even a Barca fan.
cisse should not be on this list he scored 22 goals the season before he came to newcastle and he still has a great record for newcastle only problem is that he has had horrid luck with injury
Michu has ever up his ankles and in a interview he said he suffered extreme pain and wouldn't go back to Swansea until he feels he can do well for them.
Totally ignored Michus injury problems????? Literally the only reason hes not playing in the PL very disrespectful. In an interview he talk about how much his ankle would hurt whilst playing and after 3 operations it never got better.
Michu was the biggest one season wonder, but I loved him for Swansea that season, everything he touched turned into a chance or a goal.. He even had his own celebration, loved it!
It was nothing to do with his form. His ankle had to have 3 operations. He had a brilliant start to his second season, but he said after 3 operations he was still in pain while playing. So Swansea had to leave him go. And as a Swansea fan myself I was gutted when it happened
Dawson 'shit' When Hull are in the playoffs and could be on their way to a chance to get back to the BPL. If I also have to name a one season wonder. Could go for Bony.
Great videos. Would like to see one about loans who did well at their teams but surprisingly did not stay, like Chicharito at Madrid, Taarabt at Milan, Joel Campbell at Olympiacos and many others
Taarabt was actually really good at Milan, he started pretty much every game after debuting and both scored and assisted a fair amount. It was like he for once were combining his talent with motivation, which usually has a successful outcome. However after the season Taarabt wanted to stay, Milan wanted him to stay, but QPR didn't. And well, since that it looks like he has pretty much given up on his entire career
It's a real shame. His ego still was there, claiming he benched Kaka (after leaving Milan I think) but with the intense training in Italy, it might've served as the discipline he needed. Certainly showed flair on the field. Sadly, knowing Milan's state now, he would've been offloaded anyway.
I am not a spurs fan, at all, but Michael Dawson was a brilliant player for them and a solid captain. I know that it is only in the few recent years after he left that Spurs has shown european potential but when they where a midtable club he was solid for them through the years, not a standout but not a one season wonder either. Misplacement in my opinion.
I want to bring people's attention to a player not on the list but should have been and that player is Amr Zaki. Zaki was bought to Wigan for £1.5 million and looked like goldust scoring 5 in 6 and scoring a mad bicycle kick against Liverpool. He did fizzle out near the end of the season but was still considered a good season which after he was nowhere to be seen.
Stewart Downing put 10 goals in 07/08 and as a many assists, easily our best players. Was god awful the season after. But he was solid for villa and West Ham.
+zcjxxx how about you look up your information before you look like an idiot. He converted to Islam and has been seen praying before matches several times

Drogba Isnt A Legend makes no sense but ok. It can even go both ways, you could say that it shows how hard the Premier League is to be consistently good.
***** again non of that makes sense. The Premier League is bad because they tried to replace Ronaldo with Nani and Depay who both ended up failing? Players get dubbed the 'new messi' or Ronaldo, or Maldini in every league, funny enough they barely ever reach (near) that potential. It's just way of saying the have a lot of potential and their style is similar to how there's is/was. It doesn't actually mean people believe they are as good or ever will be. It's constantly shown that the Premier League (though not the highest quality) is arguably the toughest league to be consistent in.

Then in Italy you have Donnarumma, the new Buffon. Santon the new Maldini Even in Scotland you have Dembele the new messi... It's just the way the media (especially british media) tells you about a talented player.
