This is our family favorite ! I never thought about putting the peanut butter in a baggie, what a great idea because they can get messy. Thanks for the great idea!
My 47 year old son just today said to me, “Mom do you remember when you and Hope (a friend of mine) made these ritz cracker cookies with peanut butter in the center and covered with melted chocolate? They were so good.” I was stunned to happen chance on your channel with you sharing this recipe! 😁. Will definitely be making him a batch this Christmas!
I did these one Christmas. My friend thought they came from a bakery. I considered that a compliment, specially for something so darn simple!! Thanks for the video--giving away my " secret".
I have made this recipe with my children over 30 years & now my grandchildren. We use tongs to pick up & dip crackers in chocolate. I like the plastic bag idea as we always used short butter knives which can be messy. We have used crushed peppermint or small chocolate pieces on the white chocolate as well as green or red sugar to decorate.
My grammy made something similar. She used Rolo caramels instead of P butter, baked them for a minute or two and put a ritz on top to sandwich it. OH MY GOSH theyre so good!! She has been gone awhile now and no one has made them. I might just make a batch of those and yours too!! Thank you for the recipe 🥰🥰
I've been wanting to make these, but glad I found your video first. Great tip putting the peanut butter in the plastic bag. I wouldn't have thought of that, thank you!
The internet has some really top notch CHEF grade recipes especially in the pastry field... All u got to do is your research and go for the ones with the top rated REAL user reviews and you'll have some top notch stuff in your arsenal.
I will definitely be making these for this Christmas. I make goody baskets for friends and neighbors every year and these will be perfect to add to my table and these baskets. Thanks for sharing.
Those look so yummy! I make something similar. I use peanut butter and marshmallow fluff mixed together for the filling. Thanks for all the great recipes you make! Love from Texas
I have been making these for Christmas for years. I use smooth peanut butter and dip them in Wilton’s Dark chocolate. We love the dark chocolate so much better. 😊
I have made these cookies for over 20 years now. They are a favorite of mine and everyone I gift them too. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Yum! Your hair is so adorable ! You should do a tutorial on how you style it that way! Oh, and do you have a divinity video ! Since my grandma passed years ago, no one in my family can make it.
Thank you so much. I might just do that one day. Yes, I do have a video on Divinity. It's a couple of years old. I'm hoping to make another this fall❤️
The Ritz crackers chocolate cookies sounds like a good idea but I would also like to try it with vanilla wafer cookies with Nutella on the inside of the cookies and dip the cookies in melted white vanilla bark
I have had such great success with your recipes! I made the blueberry lemon cake the day after I found your post and it came out so yummy. My hubby and I just retired so I will have fun making some great recipes for him...
Hi, Try melting your bark and adding a couple of drops of peppermint extract and coat your single crackers. Let set and enjoy 😋 If you like Thin mints (girl scout cookies) you'll love these. Merry Christmas ❤
I just subscribed to your channel. My mom used to make those treats, but she did use the white chocolate. She would put peanut butter on the crackers and then put them in the freezer for a few hours. She was told that would help the chocolate to set up on them better when she dipped them. Evidently that isn’t necessary and it sure would save time not to do that . I am looking forward to watching more of your videos!
When making these with the kids, to help speed up for their small attention spans, get the crackers with pb already in them, then have their own bowls and spoons, soon as you come by with the melted chocolate to put in their bowls, have them immediately use their spoons and put their pb crackers into the chocolate and cover and put on their wax , parchment paper, and already have their candies to sprinkle on top ready. Then let them eat them. Makes a fun time, and treat for their school Christmas party. (Teachers always like us volunteer mom's to come up with cool treats, games for their class party's, kids seem to like things they get to help make their own).
Kathy, your chocolate covered Ritz crackers look so yummy. My mom sometimes make them for me at Christmas time, especially if you add crushed peppermint candies.
@@kathyssouthernkitchen302 I truly do wish that a well. I know yall will have a great time. Maybe another year. Im just covered up right now. Love yall. 😊💜💜💜💜💜
I am going to make these ! I tried years ago and made such a big mess. I swore never again, but the way you did it was so clean and simple. Thanks, from Raleigh NC
Thank you for posting. I have been trying to think of something special to do with our grandchildren, (other than my hubby making us his sugar cookies!)… that will be a perfect treat. Ritz n peanut butter, with chocolate almond bark! I can also go ahead and make me some half dipped pretzels for Christmas Eve! Thanks again! Your kitchen is LOVELY!
I'm going to make these next year for my cookie exchange. They look great! Thank you for sharing. BTW your make up is perfect! Love your color lipstick, can you share the name and maker?
Thank you so much! They've discontinued this particular lipstick. I'm struggling to find something else I like. It is Sparkling Mauve from Avon. I've worn it for years and years.
Kathy, you are a good teacher…thank you so much for sharing Fay’s recipe. I’m new to your channel and look forward to hearing more from you. Also, I’m from Seattle, living a little south of Nashville now and know there are fabulous southern cooks in my area. This recipe will be my choice for a little sweet treat for friends and family. I’ve never melted chocolate before, so keep your fingers crossed! Merry Christmas, my new friend… 🎄👩🏼🍳🥠
You make them for Xmas gifts.. I'll make them.. All..for me..love peanut butter with chocolate & love Ritz crackers too... can't wait to go buy chocolate, have the crackers have the peanut butter...oh ,why didn't I buy the chocolate today when I went to the store..wow almond bars too??? This is getting better&better.lol. Oh wow,Heath pieces ,just heard her say that as I am writing.. I'm in my PJs to late to go get what I don't have or I'd be in the kitchen already.lol
Jiff's natural peanut butter does not separate which is one of the things I really really like about it and it's the only peanut butter that I use and have in my house, of course it's the creamy because I'm not a fan of the ones with peanuts in it.
I am new to your channel. These cookies soundp yummy. Can't wait to make these. Thank you for sharing this with us. I love your kitchen. So until next time God Bless you and have a Blessed day tomorrow and stay safe my dear and Special Friend. 🎄🍪🎁
Oh I wish you had filmed making the divinity! I cannot get it to save my life and it is my husband’s favorite also. Maybe a new video idea? Love your videos.
Hi I just came across your channel and glad I did. Do you know how long these will store in a tight container? Should I freeze them or just put in fridge? I want to start making treats for Christmas but not sure how soon because of the shelf life for certain treats . Thanks for sharing ♥️
I guess I cheat I have been having those for a snack lately. I get my roll of cheap knock off ritz cracker's a jar of peanut butter and a saucer of some chocolate chips. Set in front of the computer put peanut butter on my ritz and dip it in the chocolate chips. Just a little something sweet at bedtime.
If some of those ‘sophisticated’ palates only knew how simple their ‘sophisticated’ delicacies were to make; they’d think they were lied to and throw tantrums. I’ve seen it
@Michael Baugher I am from New Jersey. The supplier I go to sells Merkens chocolate. I also tried Stovers and I find Stovers melts better and much creamier. That I have to order from Stover.
I make chocolate dipped mini peanut butter ritz crackers with Christmas sprinkles on top every Christmas! Easy peasy!!
Sounds delicious!
I have made them for years………everyone loves them❤
I thought of the mini peanut butter Ritz crackers immediately. Great idea.
This is our family favorite ! I never thought about putting the peanut butter in a baggie, what a great idea because they can get messy. Thanks for the great idea!
Well there you go! Great idea!
I've been been making these for 42 yrs.

Thank you! It's definitely a time savor❤️
I have been making these for about 15 years and we all love them.
I have never heard of Almond Bark. Is it easy to find at grocery stores?
It's chocolate candy coating. Any will do❤️
You can find almond bark in the baking section of your grocery store. That's where I find mine at my local HEB grocery store.
One of my favorite candies.
Where has this recipe BEEN all my life?!

Welcome to my channel! The way your mom makes them sounds wonderful ❤️
Thanks for the tip - much appreciated
Freezing them may make condensation though and water messes chocolate up
@christinet.4159 I've had no issues at all with mine❤️
My grandson likes these. Thanks for telling us the child from the fridge takes away the shine
Hey Kathy! New friend here came across your channel oooh these cookies look so yummy. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Thank you!!!it was a pleasure to watch you creat magic!! 👍🏼
I can't wait to try these!! If you make them, then I know they will be AWESOME! IM OPEN TO "CARE" PACKAGES 😂
If you want a real chocolate cookie you could use Nutella instead of peanut butter. If someone has a peanut butter allergy they con still enjoy them.
Sounds good. Dark chocolate on pretzels are good too
love this
They’re always everyone’s favorite! ❤️
You have such a great style of communication. 🤍💝
These are perfect. The tip about not putting them in the fridge is really good to know. Thank you. Merry Christmas 🎄

Hi! You can freeze them or store them. Both work really well. They keep for about two weeks❤️
My mother who is 90 said that when she would get home from school her mama would have a platter of crackers with fudge poured over them sweet memories
Love this!
TFS!!! Will make this soon!

So sad when they leave us. Sweet memories ❤️
Instead of using almond bark can I dip them in Merkens chocolate? I'm going to try this recipe. Thank you.
Merkens would be so much better! Are you from the buffalo,ny area? They are the only folks I've ever know to use Merkens chocolate wafers.
@Michael Baugher I am from New Jersey. The supplier I go to sells Merkens chocolate. I also tried Stovers and I find Stovers melts better and much creamier. That I have to order from Stover.
Yes you can. Any candy coating will work❤️
@@kathyssouthernkitchen302 Thank you.
I don’t think we have almond bark in Canada and you said not to use regular chocolate, so what would you suggest?
Use any kind of chocolate candy coating❤️
How do you keep them fresh after making them?
Store them in an airtight container. They will keep for a couple of weeks. You can also freeze them.
Lovely cheers hun 👍
Yum will have to make some thx
My grandson is allergic to peanuts, so would I be able to use Almond Butter ?
Absolutely ❤️🎄❤️
You know, if you put the PB in the microwave for a bit, it get gets easier to handle.
