    Had a fun time trying out the Fine Tail Stream Trout rod. If you're looking for a light powered rod that can handle trout in current this is it. Hope you enjoy the video.

    That rod does look good in the morning sun. Stuck some White Bass and Crappie today using that Varivas Infinity PEx8, caught every fish that bit, it is a great line for sure.

    Don't listen to the haters. Unlike them, you have proof of your catch. I'm in California and I thought those were some fine fish. I like to say that when you have haters, it's because you are doing something right. Great video and God bless

      Love the videos. Just want to say thank for all the great informative reviews. You got me going back to how I started fishing which is panfishing but now with ajing rods lol. I know I was ruined when I pulled the trigger on the eradicator. Now I just purchased a evergreen salty sensation limber tip as well lol. All thanks to you kind sir anywho to all the narrow minded people "shoot fire, yes sir".

    Hey Randy love the videos! If you are interested in trying some small hardbaits for trout and crappie I have had a ton of success with the megabass x-55 and x-70 jerkbaits in suspending models, as well as any of the great hunting series minnows in floating and sinking. I mostly fish them with trebles but you can find barbless versions that are plenty nice on the fish, like the owner st-36 barbless hooks in sizes 10-16. Hopefully you give those baits a try sometime I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! Tight lines and happy holidays 🎣

      The X-70s are great in lakes. Browns and tigers love them!

      Amen to that, you really cannot beat any of those small suspending jdm jerkbaits they catch everything that swims!

    Anytime you recommend an affordable rod my ears perk up. Ordered the stream rod from Digitaka on the 17th and it already arrived today the 22nd of December. Now my wife knows what she's getting me for Christmas. :-)

    I have caught some good trout Below Priest dam during August. They say they all die out but them was still hitting cut bait I was using for catfish.

    Thank you for explaining the Trout situation, the stockers and brood trout, etc. Where you are fishing are there smallmouth bass? The only place I ever fished in Tennessee was Dale Hollow.

      Thanks for watching. The Duck River is known for smallmouth...but....for the first few miles below the dam at Normandy they are few and far between.

    Hi Randy, I've enjoyed watching your channel for the past 1 1/2 years. As it turns out, I live in Osaka so I have access to most Japanese lures. I would be more than happy to send some to you if you have a list of ones you'd like.

    How sensitive are these compared to a G. Loomis IMX rod or a GLX rod? Also are these rods too stiff for a Carolina power bait setup?
    Thank you for the video and Merry Christmas to you and yours. 🎄😊🎁

    Looking forward to the review on the Presso and the glass rod. I'm very curious about the sensitivity of the glass rods compared to the carbon rods.

    • @Sweetaccord
      @Sweetaccord 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The glass are slower action.

    • @troutmagnetman
      @troutmagnetman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks much for watching. Received the glass rod and have to say it is interesting for sure. Yes it is slower but not as slow as I thought it would be with an UL rating and being made from fiberglass.

    Good move blocking the haters. I know the older I get the less time I have for fools.

    Looking at the stream finetail rods can’t decide between the UL or L for around 5g minnows. This looks like the rod is so stiff it’s not loading up too well. What weight baits are you using?

    • @troutmagnetman
      @troutmagnetman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching...these rods are rigid for sure.....but I don't have any issues casting 3-6 grams.
