- I decided to get up bright and breezy first thing this morning in a hope to see some stormy and exciting arrivals from Myrtle Avenue (RW27L) during Storm Darragh… and wow, I was not disappointed! 90mph wind gusts… multiple go arounds (11 in this video in total as the title suggests, many more across the course of the day), and now a severe case of hypothermia… but, it’s all worth it for of your enjoyment, so I hope you all enjoy these absolutely spectacular landings (and attempts) that I captured today! Storm Darragh sure was a strong one.
Apologies for any shakiness, blurring, etc… I really did struggle to stay steady given the serious conditions I was filming in, I’m sure you all understand this anyway but I just wanted to say this anyway.
I’m working on the full list of aircraft details for those included in this video, so I will add these here (instead of this message) when finished, I hope you can understand there are 70 clips in this video so it’s not something that I can do instantaneously unfortunately. Thank you for bearing with me.
Please feel free to subscribe if you’re new, and leave a like if you enjoyed the video… there is always much more to come!
- All clips are captured/recorded by myself and I do not condone the reuploading of any of these clips -
Danno :~)
I hope you all enjoy these windy and wonderful Storm Darragh arrivals captured from Myrtle Avenue (showcasing LHR’s runway 27L). Please ensure that you have your video quality settings set to the highest possible setting, for the *best* possible experience!
As mentioned in the description, I’m working on the full list of aircraft details in the background so once I’m finished they will be in the description.
Thank you all for watching, please feel free to subscribe if you’re new and leave a like if you enjoyed, MUCH more to come as always!

Incredible spotting video, my friend! The camera work is really great! Only true aviation enthusiasts dare to venture out in weather like that. Kudos to you! Sending a massive like, Matt
Thank you so much Matt! You are so right, if it wasn’t for my love for aviation I wouldn’t have stepped outside the house😂 thanks for watching dude👍🏼😎

Thank you Owen I appreciate it mate😎👍🏼
Even though I don’t do plane spotting anymore I still like watching planes though 👍
I used to go through stages of being really interested in it but then at times not as much, part of life I guess dude, I’m glad your interest for aviation hasn’t disappeared fully like it did for me many years ago😊
85:1 = WILD!
Amazing 😯😯❤... I have been there twice. Can I ask from what time till what time you were there in this wild weather ? Thanks 3:34
Thank you very much I really appreciate it! I was there from 07:25am to 09:25am, although the storm itself lasted a couple of days (and longer in other areas)😊
13:32 spool up
This will certainly be an exciting video to watch! I only saw the VS A35K go around.. was planning to stay longer but it was way too cold.
I hope you enjoy it when you see it! Ah that’s a shame mate, I was absolutely frozen after a while too… I got there at 7:15am and didn’t leave til 9:30am so by that point I was well and truly soaked through🥶
@@DannoAviation I stood by the treeline at the back otherwise I would get too wet quickly.. still absolutely froze there
Wow
One Emirates a380 was in Frankfurt airport
Correct mate, diverted due to the awful weather! I think it made two attempts (possibly three) to land before diverting to FRA😊
