Started with FLstudio 3, there is absolutely no other software like it. It makes music fun and not a chore, its a sandbox, a playground for music! Love it!

I started on 12. Had a lot of pressure to switch to ableton, but FL is just a solid workstation. Well visuals, works great with my instruments, very plugin friendly. Ironically, I dont even use it for vocal recordings. Audacity is much faster. But its great for Vocal Mastering.

I was a long Time user of ableton but decided to switch to FL. Mainly for the piano roll and what it could do. Now I kinda bounce between the 2 depending on what I'm doing

FL is king. Pretty much every other DAW copied each other, whereas FL's devs were like "it's digital. we can do anything, and we should, cuz we're f*cking rad peeps." it's bananas how many different ways you can do a single thing inside FL. It's suitable for people of all levels to jump right into and get going. I've been using it since version 2 and I've tried everything else. It gets flak from purists for some reason, but they have no idea what they're missing. They made GrossBeat ffs. who does that.... I'm just gonna stop talking cuz I might as well just make my own video after a certain point. lol

Loving this video essay style videos, really interesting! I remember using fruity loops back in 2001 or so, crazy how far it's come

I've been using FL studio since 1998. I can't remember when they split the software into it's various versions like "producer" and "all plugins" etc...but I remember being miffed because I bought the original Fruity Loops and felt it was a kick in the head to be an early supporter and my version was now the lowest tier.....I got over it in time and now own the producer version. The best part of owning this DAW is that the updates introduce so many features that many times I don't update right away as I still haven't fully embraced the last update and all it offers. I've watched many other DAWs fade from their glory like Cakewalk which was pretty huge back then for home based producers. Cubase was massive for 'higher end' producers, and the big dog was Pro Tools....which was way over priced for what it offered in my opinion. Fruity Loops has come a long way in the 25 years I've been using it...and the updates are still free.

That is a bit of a shady move to early users 😒. I have the all plugins version but I upgraded up to it. The lifetime updates are sweet too. I'm currently messing with the new beta. It added a chord generator in the piano roll and a few other things 🔥

FL Studio is my DAW of choice. Before that, I started learning production using an DAW called M-Audio Session, then I went on to MAGIX Music Maker 12.

That cool! I did some research on Magix when I was making a previous video. It paved the way for alot of other DAWS. Thanks for watching mate 🙌

It's in the newest beta bro. Anyone with an FL Licence can download it. Just search FL Studio 24 beta in Google. I think the latest version is FL24 Beta 8
