Hey Mike, I always enjoy your vids, delivered with a smiling and unassuming presence. I already had TS3.5 so was eligible for the "Maxgrade" upgrade of 299.99, but they then whacked an extra 50.00 off when I logged in. It was a no brainer at that price 🙂
I am getting it about 250$ ... Very good deal. It is a price / performance software.... Thank you Buddy, you had introduced me Total Studio 2 Max 2 years ago and i am still using it.
OK, I added it up. All the news stuff adds up tp €1420! Personally, all I am really keen on is the new Syntronik Synths. That will cost me €150! So, to get everything is just an extra €150. Tomorrow is pay day. I'll decide then.
I bought Total Studio Max 3.5 just a few months ago. Would it make sense / Is it worth it to upgrade for $200? I think I'll stay with 3.5 for now. Maybe a version 5 upgrade.
I updated only the Tracks5 Max to the V02 version. The verbs and comprexxor made me upgrade. It was around 130 $ but it's way more valuable than 130 with the 15 plugins added. Maybe one day I will take the Total MAX. Since waves big announce, I tried to focus more and more of my plugins to companies that showed a client oriented vision, and I feel like IK is a good match.
Just here to say, that IK is not the one "client oriented" as for example you have to pay for downloading the libraries after 190 days from the purchase. The next thing is, that if you use t-racks or amplitube and do not have all the things included bought, still all the things are forced to be installed and you dont know when loading the vst of t-racks, if you are using demo or full version, or when you load preset in amplitube, you are just fired with "you dont own all the things needed for this preset" message and this is a big f*ck off from the developer. Just my two cents. And theres more to this.
@@praashek indeed it is quite special, but I do not feel like it's a deal breaker. Download expires so you have to back up your sound, it's a little bit more work, but not that bad. Installing everything is a little bit frustrating when you start a plugin you don't have, but I l instantly remove it from my plugin folder with plugin manager. They work great, sounds great, and are CPU friendly so there is no deal breaker there for me. It can be a better experience for sure, but it is not as bad as some other company out there.
@@praashek I've been using ikm products since 2006. They are much better company than Waves. Yes, you have 6 months to download their audio libraries, but if waves offers so much virtual instruments, you would have to pay them everytime you want to download anything 🥴 And IKM still supports all my plugins from years ago.
Thank you for a great, informative and engaging video Mike. It's my first time on your channel and I really like your great delivery of all the features. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your content. Awesome content mate 😎👍
Cheers Mike, great advice as usual. I only have the Hammond but it's given me a price of €279 after logging in. A lot of money but food for thought. If I do go for it, it'll be the only food I get for the rest of the month
The upgrade price is still expensive. I have Total max 3.5 as well as other MAX products but the price is €299.99 which is approximately $500AUD. I think I'm giving it a miss.
I just picked it up new on sale for 270. Actually 265, because they gave me 5 dollars in something called 'jam points' right off the bat. Seems like a great deal for what you get.
Well it's amazing to see this massive plugins fro T-Racks, recently I was thinking when will they give Us something greater than what We had but this what Am seeing surprised Me and it worth buying, I have been using Modo Bass and their Modo Drums too is fair, and the Tape emulation, and other emulations that I saw from them would probably compete with Waves plugins. Thanks ❤️ 🎉
You're not wrong, massiver is a word. After all, massive is just two syllables long. That's a rule in English, so you can make something awesomer all summer.
I have a question - if I don't own any IK products how much will I pay? I only have free CS versions of Amplitube, T-Racks, etc., available through IK Product Manager.
Wow, I re-watched some of your old videos and I couldn't help noticing how much your voice recordings improved. Your voice sounds fuller/deeper now. How did you achieve this? Mic? Re-trained how you speak? Thanks for your content!
Mike, PLEASE BRO. Make a comprehensive video on how to use the Strummer tool. I've looked all over YT and Fbk and still haven't found a good video tutorial. They spend MAYBE 2 mins on Strummer. I can tell it's an AWESOME tool, I just can't figure why they didn't feature more.
Amplitube is the better amp sim/modeler that produces more faithfully sounding tones. But Guitar Rig's true value is its processors make it the only sound design platform for guitar, capable of far more creative tones to which Amplitube can't even come close.
Has the GUI improved? It is SOOOOOO black that I find it difficult to make anything oout (I have old eyes). I'll check the upgrade price between 3.5 and 4 to decide. I'll let you know (I also have NI 14 - should be a new one out at the end of the year).
I realize this was posted 5 months ago but I'm struggling with the comparison of this to Komplete 14. T-rack total studio Max 4 runs $199 Canadian whereas Komplete 14 standard is 600.
@@CreativeSauce For this price it is not worth it (just my opinion). There is not much more things compared to 3.5 (in fact it is just the Tonex and a few additional drumkits and basses for both MODO drums and MODO bass).
@@praashek not true (on the last point). There’s also new sample tank libraries, 2 new t racks modules, new amplitube amps, sunset reverb collection for mixbox and syntronik 2 max. Still don’t think it’s worth the price though, especially compared to 3.5. It was definitely an impulse buy.
Same here. For me at least, the upgrade is not worth that cost as version 2 has most of what I need (I use the analog FX plugins ALL the time). But of course others might feel different.

I NEVER have any problems with Komplete 14 or any other VSTs ... just IKM ... so disappointing ... just my take ... and I've talked to many who have the same problems with IK ...

hello man just saying thanks for all the knowledge you have shared!!! Wonderful channel
Thank you Peter!
Just got the bundle for 175 from Plugin Boutique. That price is worth it just for Amplitube Max and Tonex alone.

I really like T-Racks, but it's very unstable for some reason. It's always crashing no matter what DAW I use it in. Shame, sounds amazing.
