i think this is super funny since no cyberware is the 'big downside' in phantom liberty's ending. so if you ditch that and do a run without it phantom liberty becomes objectively V's best ending since he can just go back to being a merc.

I think it’d be interesting to see the inverse version of this challenge, where you can only use cyberware to deal damage. Main additional restriction would be to limit the tier of quickhacks that can be used so it isn’t just a netrunner build that only uses the monowire
I mean, Mantis Blades, Gorilla arms, Rocket launcher...all are OP.
I'd love to see that as well!

14:44 A quick note for fighting sandy users with guns, you can hit them with a quick melee and then shoot them, as the quick melee temporarily disables their ability to dodge.

It was VERY useful through the whole walkthrough without cyberware. Also Fenrir was a life saver, lol.
The reason you started having so much trouble with Oda is that he's bugged. After you die the first time and reload the latest save he begins dealing way more damage than he should be, enough to oneshot many players with just his smart gun. If you reload a save before the elevator every time you die he will deal his normal damage.
Fuck, wish I knew that sooner. Died a dozen times before I finally broke line of sight and stealthed him.
Oooh, so that's why I beat him first try then had to reload and proceeded to die the next 10 times

You know a fun run would be a Jetstream Sam build. Basically, No to minimal Cyberware using only a katana. Since all the Reflex Blade tree has bullet deflect and all those movement options.
The only cyberware used should be the required basic kiroshis and reinforced tendons as double jump is a natural ability all Brazilians possess

Started playing cyberpunk a few weeks after phantom liberty came out and found your channel/cyberpunk runs shortly after. Ended up up binge watching them all in a few days time. Partly because of the challenges and partly because you are just plain fun to watch. Keep it up bro

Depending on how much you chromed up V is basically a torso in a wheelchair.
I think they made it much easier to do no attributes/perks as they don't increase damage like last time, and not having them doesnt nerf you, so having them is more abilities and more health. Either way, this is by far the hardest possible challenge with this game now, short of physically nerfing yourself and your aim. I like how more lethal everything is, and your aim can really carry you.

The new ending stops you from using cyberware forever, it's so cool seeing how v would handle night city
The Tower ending would have been perfectly fitting for this run, unfortunately it wasn't even on your list of options.

Been wanting to do this run myself, especially given one of the endings. If you can beat this with no chrome and perks, I think that makes the ending itself invalid in a major way. Id tack on one life as well, just for extra pain

Imagine completing Phantom Liberty like that, go for surgery ending and seeing V fucking sulk that we are nothing without compat cyberware...
Not to mention that technically speaking we can't be Raiden but we could be Jetstream Sam, effectively an unaugmented human with an exosuit.

I figured this was the most obvious challenge run. Just started the video, excited to check it out.
On a side note, one of the endings would put V in exactly the condition you put him in for this run. Which is an interesting thought, as well as upon learning about this ending made me think of you and this challenge.

It would be funny if at the NUSA ending they tell you you can never use combat cyberware ever again and you have the response, "What do you mean? I never used that junk."

When I saw the phantom liberty ending I though: Meh, joke's on you CDPR, I'm sure V can still be a merc with no chrome and I bet you there are already runs on youtube of people with enough skills and patience to make it happen. And there you are!
This is the definition of jack-of-all-trades. No special skills, no special cyberware, just pure luck or skill

Ironically, this is how i did my first playthrough. No cyberware besides the kiroshis and the hand implant they make you get, which I then swapped for the tyger claws subdermal tat later on

I found out you CAN get rid of your optics. All you have to do is make a save back in 1.6 till you meet viktor. Then update the game and all your implants will be gone

even with 2.0 and phantom liberty you can still get armor from clothing pieces but it's only from certain pieces that would be armored realistically like flak jackets

@@abrahamsandwich Though the maximum you can get is +25 armor on two pieces (helmet, chest armor), meaning 50 overall.
It will make no difference whatsoever, given the _hundreds_ of armor one needs to actually have reasonable damage reduction from it :D

I can respect doing a challenge run with custom rules added on, as I do that myself, for example KH3 LV1 proud mode run, but with auto block and auto heal as well as 0 AP cost active, just to make the run a lil more enjoyable

I would love to see your projectile launcher playthrough on 2.0. I’ve been trying to make a build myself but keep getting stuck on figuring out what works and what doesn’t perk wise with it. Tech and pyromania but have been trying to see what else can possibly work.

Lmao. Seeing you struggle with the Sandy users was painful. I learned in my Doom build playthrough that the best way to deal with those guys is just to rush them, quick melee, then blast 'em point blank with a shotgun. Most shotguns will knock them off their feet if you empty the whole thing into them while they're staggered from the melee. Then you just chuck a grenade or two on their chest and walk away.

Driving a car for more than 3 seconds without wibble wabing has impressed me more than any challenge.
I’m doing a Solid Snake build where the only Cyberware I use is the Optical Camo, Atomic Sensors, Synaptic Accelerator, Tyrosine Injector, and a Cyberdeck with only covert quick hacks. I use a Nue with the Pax mod which makes the gun non-lethal. When I reach max level I’ll make a video showcasing it. It’s really fun.
Actually, I'm suprised the game doesnt reference MGS more, considering they hit you with the Akira and Gits eastereggs in the first 10 minutes.
Has the Slaught-O-Matic (or whatever the throwaway gun was called) been fixed yet? If yes, it might be worth reconsidering that challenge of using only that gun to beat the game.
What exactly was wrong with it?
@brainlessboy234 It was very glitched so it would constantly equip the wrong one, and it would drop all of the unequipped guns out of his inventory every time he loaded a save. There's a video about it I believe, don't know if it's still up
sadly no, they still all loose their ammo when you load the game and duplicate and stuff.

Itd be really funny to do a challenge where V is drunk the entire game. Youd probably need mods, especially if you want the challenge to be harder, but its probably doable.
Sir John and widowmaker were the weapons I used during my first playthrough. They were just effective (I started playing after 2.0 so I don’t know how the game was before that).
My approach was the noob approach who didn’t know any better and didn’t watch for tutorials online.

Well technically using the best weapon option he probably would have died less. Chat seemed to chose the worst option for some of the more difficult situations.
I played this challenge mode but went with the best weapon choices and didn't die nearly as much as he did..

Do a Max Payne run where you can only fire in Kerenzikov mode. Bonus if you shuffle guns like you did in this run.
Cyberware capacity shards are still bugged. No idea why this is so hard. In case you don't know if you reach Cyberware capacity between 320 and 340 they simply stop spawning. There is no limit to Cyberware capacity and this is a confirmed bug that is still present in 2.02.
They need to fix this. You can either use a glitch to get infinite shards or just use a mod on PC to fix it.

I finished my 1st playthrough and I pretty much didn’t buy any cyberware and didn’t upgrade any abilities either for the whole game, it just seemed too much of a hassle and I couldn’t br bothered to read everything, it really wasn’t challenging tbh but now I get how it can improve the experience and I kinda wanna lay it again as a netrunner and all

@@abrahamsandwich so Only carry 4 at a time. It's not a bunch, only 4, and you have to get through every enemy encounter with just 4 slaughtomatics. No picking up enemy guns and now arm Cyberware.

you can indeed remove the kiroshis if you first upgrade them when vik gives it to you it allows it to be uneqipped
I'm doing a similar run but with only human-related perks like better sneaking and body strength. Think Solid Snake - solid strength and dexterity, no cyberware augmentations. I see perks for the Body skill tree for example as perks of being in top condition (bigger muscles = more melee damage perk, for example - bit of role playing). However, I avoid any perks that break realism, like healing over time or healing per kill.
