  • Thirty mile solo backpack on the North Devon Coast via Croyde Bay and Saunton Sands. Lovely first wild camp of 2024 on Baggy Point. Utilising a variation in recording style, no banter or chit chat, allowing the location to do its own talking!

I walked this a couple of weeks ago, some glorious views. I wish I could have stopped at baggy head but I wanted more miles that day…

Thanks for watching and commenting. Are you walking the whole SWCP?

@@theglumhiker2881 I walked minehead to near st Ives with the intention to get to Penzance, my shoe split on the bank holiday weekend so I jacked and got the train back from Truro. It was fantastic as I had no preconceptions. My only error (besides worn out shoes) was doing too many miles once I got going. I walked ilfracombe to instow in two days and it ruined my feet and exhausted me more than I realised at the time. After that a steady 12-14 miles was the max I could do. The whole experience was amazing, I will be back to do st Ives to Falmouth at some stage. Great video 👍

@@sobobwas6871 Nice one Bob, great effort. That next section to Falmouth is tough but also very rewarding. I struggled on that section last September in a heatwave! Sure you will be fine once you get your footwear sorted! Best of luck .
