- The recently released update for Darkest Dungeon 2 now forces the player to kill one of the Lair Bosses and collect their head as a trophy to enter the mountain. Each boss can drop 1 of 2 different trophies, and each of them provides some really strong buffs and effects.
In this video, you'll see a run where we get "The Complete Catalogue" trophy from the Librarian and make the rest of the run an absolute joke. We played in the "Internal Flame" mode (flame stuck at 1) and killed all of the bosses by abusing this trophy's effect.

We really need to admire Otz commitment. That flame in his camera frame set his shirt on fire, and he didn't say a damn thing. Sheer mental strength and determination. Truly an inspiration.

I wish people would stop not knowing how the road obstacles work. Saw someone spreading false info in the chat.
Road obstacles have a small chance of giving you combat items, consumables.
That is ALL. They DO NOT EVER negatively affect you in any way. They don't lower your light, they don't cause stress, they ONLY give you consumables.
Your light automatically goes down as you travel, regardless of hitting things, same goes for stress events.
The fact that it's not an intuitive mechanic, is hardly ever explained and barely any people play the game as it's still early access on EGS doesn't help. In these situations I'd blame the mechanic more than the people who don't get it.

@@a70274 It's just the usual 1 year / early access exclusivity like Metro Exodus and Hades Exclusivity. Once they're launching 1.0, it will go up on steam.
@@a70274 oh no, it is only EGS exclusive while in early access. As far as I know it will be for about a year, then they release it for other platforms too.

I played DD1 a lot. Won't touch it while it is exclusively on EPIC, but nice to see it here.

Yessss! To be honest, as much as I love dbd, I like darkest dungeon even better and Otz is just the right kind of player for this sort of games. Focused and strategic, but also crazy enough for some risky and interesting synergies.
I hope you'll post more Darkest Dungeon as more updates come out for it! You're the one who really got me into the series and I love seeing you play such an awesome game. Power of love and friendship OP!!

Thanks Otz. I just got this game on steam yesterday, and beat the first chapter with this trophy. Even though it is nerfed from 5 to 3 damage, it still great for high-way-man. Really fun video, hope you will stream it again and make a video about it soon.
I gotta say: there is one in a hundred content creators that I watch no, matter what they play.
Whether it is DBD, Resident Evil, Dark Souls, DD or basically anything you do, I just love the way you go about these games, interact with people and how you deal with challenge and toxicity overall.

As much as I love watching and even rewatching your DBD videos, these videos where you play something else like this or Mortal Shell (I think it was called) are just fucking great. i love watching otz play darkest dungeon. its nice to see how others play and compare it to how i play.
Fun fact: caltrops+guaranteed crit with the relic deals, in total, 5 damage every turn for 3 turns to all enemies, which is 15 to each one. If 4 enemies get hit by it, its 20 total damage per turn for 3 turns, which, in the end, deals a total of 60 damage, well spread out and in 3 turns. Hidden gem is what i say, even if spread out
I loved your story about being scared by your own shadow at night haha, I had a wierd one recently got out of the car when I got home from work and heard something next to me sort of snarling and snorting I couldn't see cause it was dark and couldn't use my phone so I got a bit jumpy lol, ran into the house and got my head torch and when I went back to the garden, it was two hedgehogs having a conversation or something such a surreal thing to happen lol :p love your videos and the content in general thanks a lot otz :)

Every character on the team is pretty valuable. I like them all
It also helps he literally has everything in the game Unlocked right at the start lol... Idk if he played it and did all the runs to gain levels/heroes but that forsure contributed to his success. When you start the game you are literally handicapped from the start.
It's my third time watching this run. I just love how OTZ plays with chat, its like a coop of madness.

For the generals dream trophy, there are certain monsters that still count as corpses, like the Ghouls and some monsters in the Foetor.
I actually recently bought the game and just finished my first denial run thanks to that trophy with a jester and highway man who both critted a lot. But it was the first time I actually got that trophy from the librarian, so I guess you have to be quite lucky
Edit: Positive relationships also saved my ass sooo many times, even though by the end of the final boss everyone hated each other
