On-the-Job Rank Change for Kentucky Teachers

- Kentucky’s Marshall County Schools partnered with BloomBoard to offer an on-the-job rank change program for their educators.
In this video, the Director of Human Resources for Marshall County Schools, Amanda Henderson, along with two program graduates and a current participant, share their thoughts about the program and the value it brings to the district.
In partnership with select regional service centers, BloomBoard developed a low-cost continuing education option that supports Kentucky teachers in earning rank change. Districts across Kentucky are investing in this new program to help improve teacher recruitment and retention.
Educators can complete the program in 12 months to four years, depending on the participant’s pace. Teachers who successfully complete the program will earn a rank change (from Level 3 to 2 or Level 2 to 1), and the appropriate salary advancement, that is honored in all public and private school districts across the state of Kentucky.
