Great thanks, I bought a pair from your link from your original video. This FW update mechanism also means it works fine from Apple Macs. A couple of comments. The data is meaningless unless you actually have a load on the Motor. e.g. Props. As it supports 150A I would recommend the correct connectors to allow you to test up to 150 Amps not XT60s. You can use plug converters to allow the down connection to XT60s but XT60s will not allow you to convert up to 150 Amps. Cheers

Yes I know.. it wasn't ment to be an actual test of that setup.. a static test with prop doesn't mean much eighter by the way.. True.. the things I will test will never exceed the limits of XT60's.. I sometimes do runs with airplanes and boats to see if I can prop up..
OK UPDATE!!! Yes, you have to have this powered up (at least on the 2 units I have)! I applied power to the load side of the meter and then plugged in the USB cable into the PC. Once I did this the Toolkit drive popped up immediately. I than updated by deleting the file and replacing it with the new firmware. I am honestly beside myself in how bad this was managed in the instructions

@@DutchRC IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY! WHEN I WAS UPDATE WINDOWS STOPPED AND SHORTLY AFTER REBOOT THE DEVICE STARTED ASKING FOR FORMAT AS IF IT WAS A DAMAGED PEN DRIVE. I FORMATTED IT AND NOW IT GIVES A USB PORT ERROR, IT DOESN'T OPEN. UNKNOWN USB DEVICE!
OK confused, I tried 2 computers and nothing? Do you have to have this thing powered up before hooking up to a USB port and does it have to be a USB3. If so why the heck would they make USB3 a requirement as a lot of people (like myself) dont even have a computer with a USB3 port.

My device hasn't been recognized as a drive, the update process you described didn't work
I think a USB3 port is required for the device to be recognized.. could that be the cause?

Hmm that is weird.. the M8 charger DOES require a USB 3 port but I am pretty sure I updated this WM150 on a non USB3..
Could it be your cable?
