      Thank you, I do try to make the vehicles performance visible in the videos. I figure it's more interesting than me telling them what they should see

    have watched many of your videos. just have a question in regards your set-up. Is your trx4 box stock? or could you explain the changes or improvements you've did. thanks, gary

    • @smokingwraith9990
      @smokingwraith9990  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. It's a kit built truck. The only change I made was to add overdrive gearing to the differentials. Its built it with brushless electrics

  • @rccrawlingaddict207

    It appears as though the passengers side is a little heavier? Cool ride.....and it goes better than other ones I've seen with tracks.

    • @smokingwraith9990
      @smokingwraith9990  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rig tends to sink with the slope of the underlaying landscape at torque is applied to the tracks. The weight of the rig is actually very balanced

  • @plingvaldsen
    @plingvaldsen ปีที่แล้ว +1

    does this have high and low gear transmission ?

    • @smokingwraith9990
      @smokingwraith9990  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, these Sport trans and axles are mostly stock. Regeared one axle to gain Overdrive. That's all. The power is coming from the brushless electronics. I believe Traxxa re commends gearing down for brushless, but I didn't. I am mostly pretty conservative with the throttle. I am sure I could overheat the motor if I tried.

    Sweet video, now I want some tracks. And is it just me or is there some sort of structure in the middle of what used to be a river??

    • @smokingwraith9990
      @smokingwraith9990  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers! That structure serves as an ice breaker at spring break-up and a current breaker in the summer. In spring the river rises high enough to completely cover over that structure. That river is a seasonal yo-yo

    Great video buddy, love watching rig. I was inspired by your truck, so I did something similar. I love my traxx, they're amazing in deep snow. On mine I installed Defender links so it would not rub on the fenders, so far so good. Take look at my channel and keep those videos coming. Cheers

  • @taylorhuffman5368
    @taylorhuffman5368 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How tight do you have your traxx? Im been having horrible luck with my drive wheel getting packed with snow

    • @rccvs4355
      @rccvs4355 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Put your truck outside at least 1 hour or more so the plastic and metal be the same temperature -5 celcius or 23 farhenheit and colder. This will help a lot. Go check my videos !!

    • @smokingwraith9990
      @smokingwraith9990  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The packing of snow in the drve wheel will happen in mild temperatures. The moisture content of snow is higher and snow crystals pack tightly in warmer weather. It sucks but unfortunately is part of the game. These rigs work better when the snow is dry. Dry snow is lighter and doesn't instantly pack out. As mentioned, it is important to leave your rig outside for awhile to cool to ambient air Temps. It will prevent any initial melting when you rig hits the snow. Unfortunately it will not make wet snow any drier. Good.luck,, be patient !

      Just shoot a bit of wd40 on the drive wheel and let the truck cool down before using it. No issues with snow packed drive wheel this way even in wet snow
