- Keith Floyd cooks a family-sized Sunday lunch of walnut-stuffed apples, artichokes, and cider-soaked roast chicken. Meanwhile, his Brittany guests cook a langoustine entree inspired by North French ingredients. Great recipe idea from classic BBC cookery show 'Floyd on Food'. Gone but not forgotten. Inspired more cooks than you can shake a stick at.

That amount of langoustines in London will set you back about £45.00
The cheese would be 15 to 20 quid.
Fishermen lucky to be getting £5 or £6 a kilo.
Yes. My quick lunch is cheese on toast, different world to mine!
From my local fishmonger who’s family catch them on their boat, about £10 but that’s the joys of living in a seaside town
For bottom feeders madness
It's like cook 30 min, eat 20 min, wash dishes for a hour.
You have to clean at the same time
Such rustic charming elegance...Compare that to today
British culinary had a huge leap due to Keith.
Wow, not often you see him eating the food.
Fresh produce and love. Amen!
Totally in love with your cooking' inspired much,
Yes, you need to be family to get this sort of feed offered. Doubting Thomas remark was unnecessary, how could that simple dish be bad (actually as much Somerset as Brittany)?
she fancies keith , you can tell can't you ? :)

Husband not impressed wants to rip his head off 😂 Kieth could charm the birds from the trees 👍
Chicken and langoustines look great, don't really care for the salad though. Looks like she went a bit overboard with the langoustines as well lol.
is the chamginon raw?
yes, very common in france to eat raw mushrooms.
Raw mushies are lush
of course in a salad you eat them raw lmao.. nothing specific about france xD
Uncle Roger will not be pleased with the rice
If you've always wondered what England would be like if we actually had good food, look at Brittany.
Actually we do have good food, and when it's cooked properly it's not an awful lot dissimilar to this.
@@JS-ll8ro You are blindfolded dumb on this planet.
Its not only about what food.. its about the EATING BEHAVIOR. You eat a hole lunch menu for breakfast.. think about it
@@Anudorini-Talah hole?
or Scotland.
Britain has excellent ingredients but the reputation still suffers from the post war cut backs and rationing.
And not a Knorr's stockpot to be found.
The End
Is that a dig at Marco Pierre White?
@@brianyoung3 Yes I dig him.
Don't be a putz.
At the end of the day it was Keith’s choice
Not at all but if you don't shut it I wouldn't make your mum holler anymore.
@@benpaul6454 yes, cheers
Why is she dumping out the rice water???
These are inported from GB. Shame we dont eat them, they do look a bit of a faff. lol My words not the great Keiths.
Langoustine, Le dragon lol
cooked that tuna to death for a salad. jeez
Giovanni Schulze yes, not the way I would like it cooked either but I think the main point was how the French do family meals with fresh ingredients and collective raw enthusiasm...I don’t think he was trying to demonstrate a rare “gastronomic experience”.
So different from us Brits in general, unfortunately ☹️
