There's a reason why there is a 10 amp fuse on that radio its so that if there is a current spike of more than 10 amps that would damage circuit boards it would burn the fuse and protect the head unit by you putting a 20 amp circuit you have raised the safety threshold of the circuit boards so now if you get a current spike there's a good chance that its going to damage the chips on the head unit . but hey gamble away. i would have just replaced with designated fuse ... just sayin

Hey, George I have a Mercedes Benz c250 2014 and I was recently in an accident 3 airbags deployed however, I ended up getting it fixed and I got it back with my screen blank. The screen has power and ground but it’s blank

hey george, this has happened with the large android screen upgrade. i hope its just a fuse too. it worked fine for 2 days then i start the car and its black. maybe it has too much voltage now and needs and upgraded fuse?
Possible check the fuses, if it's good check wiring. If good make sure ur getting power to the radio with a voltmeter. If you are might be the headunit that went bad. Check ground make sure its a good ground. Sometimes the ground can be bad and needs to be directed to anything metal in the car

My 2014 c250 radio started
making weird sounds and then smoke came from the dash. Radio was off. Do you have any suggestions?

Hey brother. I got nav and visuals, just no sound coming from speakers. If that fuse was popped, I wouldn't get anything right?
Yes, if the fuse is popped, it won't turn on the amp

@@eazynosteroidz3074 yes I would check all the fuses to start off with. If everything is good it might be that head unit that's bad
What if the fuse isn’t blown?
I’ve had the fuses checked even the one you just replaced
Was it working before? If all fuses are good maybe check if there is power at the head unit by removing it and with a volt meter check the voltage. Maybe it's the head unit that is bad
Can you help? The mechanic replaced my alternator. Now the radio system won’t power on. The screen is black. I can’t charge phone in the car. I have a 2014, C250. It sad working before the alternator replacement and now it’s giving a code U014787, “communication with the head unit has a malfunction. The mechanic says he can’t figure out the problem.
My radio turns on and off by itself all the time. What can I do about it?
It might be a bad head unit and needs to be replaced.
