The issue in YT music is that You cannot search specific tracks from your downloads when your offline whichever is bummer. You gotta manually scroll thousands of your downloaded tracks just to find the specific song You wanna play. Very inconvenient when You're not at home and no WiFi or data.

Just a suggestion: Try a blindfold test with the two services by identifying the music service based on sound quality on yourself. You will be surprised by result :)
PS: Sound quality does not matter a bit to general audience. Infact majority of the people cannot even differentiate lossy and lossless audio in a blindfold test :)
Its really nice that you used an Android phone to run the Apple Music while an iPhone running the TH-cam Music. Very clever.👌🏼
I use YT music just because I pay for TH-cam Premium. No point of paying another $10/mo for any other music services when Music comes with Premium
And I really enjoy TH-cam Premium so music nice benefit. I started with TH-cam Red so grandfathered in at 9.99 per month
Same here. I was grandfathered into TH-cam Premium and Music for 9.99. Not having to ever see an ad in TH-cam is just icing on the cake.

@@arjay246 hmm that's strange. I wanted to test it and turned off wifi and cellular data on my phone and it works for me. I typed a song name into search and it showed me the song and it plays fine. The search results even showed me it was in downloads and showed what playlists the song was under. It did give me a message before I searched that said "There is no network connection right now".
I like youtube music theres a lot of bootleg and remixes music. Plus we can upload our own music.
You can upload your own music with Apple Music as well.
TH-cam music is the easy winner. Well not youtube music alone but when you subscribe to youtube premium you get music aswell. I watch a lot of youtube videos so to not have to watch any ads and have the possibility to play youtube videos in the background or multitask and have an youtube video playing on top of any app is worth it. Plus the music app. You get more for the same price. Not to even mention that the library is way bigger
TH-cam Music is the best value. No ads on TH-cam plus a huge selection of songs. I share the family plan with a few people and it ends up being super cheap per person
Playing youtube without ads and in the background gives YTM the edge for me. I listen often in the car or while outside, where I don't notice the sound quality difference. Especially helpful for long trips in which I can listen to a 1-hour lecture on youtube without ads, and without the screen being on (or while navigating). Too bad YTM does not pause audio while navigation is speaking :(

@@meapppxd2304 Used it for half a month but found that it does not show all music videos in TH-cam music. Not sure why but went back to paid version and got all videos again.
I use Spotify with TH-cam music on the side if I ever want to listen to remixed songs or game OSTs. TH-cam music is way better at knowing what sings I like than Spotify
I have been using YT music since it's inception, it's pretty great specially in discovering new songs and artists. When apple released its losses I had to switch to apple music because audio quality matters to me. One major difference between these are, Apple music is good when you know exactly which songs you wanna listen at that time, you can select and que them in your playing list, but sometimes when you don't know what to play, you just want some good songs list with a push of a button, that's where YT music excels. YT music Personalised lists and whole home page keeps on changing according to time of the day, and radio feature of YTM can be used on any song or even playlists too.

I'll take content over quality. I remember mix cassette tapes, so youtube quality is fine by me. Plus youtube is free to boot.

I love YTM on my iPhones and iPads. I tested both before choosing YTM years ago and I’m an Apple guy.
The only improvement I can think of is offering a higher bit rate or even hi rez audio like Apple. But honestly, I am quite happy with YTM 256 AAC on good systems and no external dacs.

I tried Apple Music for a month now, and TH-cam music is 100X times better. Greater selection including anything music on TH-cam is available - remix, foreign language etc. and plus anything you thumbs up/like on youtube gets saved in your likes Library. Plus quality is better on TH-cam (Tested on high end DAC systems and Mark Levinson Lexus vehicles).

TH-cam music has allowed me to enjoy many cover songs which never make it to audio release. It has versatile playlist and allows me to play offline music when in car, with my phone screen locked.

I ised to use Google play music and have went to TH-cam music . My only gripe is that you can't see how many times you've listened to a song . That's a feature I really likes om the old version

Another important topic should be concerned, in my opinion, is how many songs there are in library. We can simply check whether includes super stars or super famous/ popular songs or specific songs for small group audience or different languages for kinds of countries . Because we paid and we don’t want to do daily uploading 😂.
He doesn’t go into uploaded tracks which work waaay better on Apple Music. That is what really sets these two services apart from Spotify (which also is more expensive). On Apple Music uploads are integrated on your library but on TH-cam Music it exists in a separate tab.

As much as i want to use apple music, for a yt videos addict like me, yt premium is the way to go. No Ads.
Does TH-cam music premium come with TH-cam premium? Because I got a free TH-cam premium trial for 11.99 but when I go to TH-cam music premium it tells me to buy TH-cam music premium for 12.99 if I want to listen to music when the screen is off or useing other apps???
TH-cam still has more unique music than both YT music and Apple music. That’s the reason for me. TH-cam music has almost all of what TH-cam has.
I can't go back to TH-cam music until they add the feature of searching through your own playlists and being able to search a song in it. If you have a large playlist it becomes impossible to find the exact song you're looking for and that's terrible.

It's weird when it comes to TH-cam music and animated album art, because it supports it and has a setting for it but noone uses it for some reason

I don't have either. I Subscribe to a channel that offers songs from, (I believe),
1955 to 1969 for Free.
Beyond that, I pick songs I like from people who post them on You Tube..
When my Phone was working, I think I also had YT Premium Music, but I didn't use it.
Perhaps the New Google Pixel 6 Pro, (which I'm hoping to get), will be offering more in keeping with what 🍏 offers.

I use You Tube Premium due to me liking to listen to music and watching a variety of TH-cam videos without ads, and too me its just worth having youtube premium. I also listen to both the music or a variety of youtube videos in my car and I like that you can have up to 5,000 songs on youtube music which is pretty cool, I am not even close to that number.
I know you already did a video on Spotify Vs. TH-cam Music but I'd love to see one comparing all three

Probably in the next few months. We’ve been waiting for Spotify to release their lossless tier but it looks like that may not happen anytime soon, so we’ll probably compare without.

In India it costs 1.5$ for apple music for a month. I got it for 0.8$(49 INR) as a student discount. That's supercheap.
Spotify unfortunately because they were smart enough to add an app to Sony and Microsoft consoles.
Would switch to TH-cam for premium alone. I use Bluetooth headphones just no point to lossless imo.
TH-cam music shines when trying to find covers and remixes of popular songs. So many smaller creators make some really good stuff that you just can’t find on apple music.

I only use Apple Music cause it’s included through my phone plan… otherwise I would use Spotify exclusively..

Apple Music for the win. Since they are now offering the lossless/hi-res lossless and Dolby Atmos for no charge is value that cannot be beat. Lossless supports up to 24/48. Anybody listening with an iPhone or Laptop can easily get a DAC dongle from Apple for $9, so they can listen in CD quality with wired Apple EarPods or wired headphones. What more could you want?

If you listen to all mainstream music then sure apple music wins out but every artist uploads their music to TH-cam so you'll have it as soon as they upload

well right now using apple music, all of my songs that i've recently downloaded since i've subscribed, disappeared. I cant imagine im going to get all those songs back. ill have to download each one. still paying and have no music. at this point, why fucking bother paying?

I had that issue and reamed them out, I said you save your songs but mine disappeared 1400 songs I ripped from my CD COLLECTION,I ended up with a 64 GB glorified music player, that was about 5 years ago, I use the Lgv30,which has a quad DAC and headphone jack,a beast 75 ohms,stopped making them but found a new one on AMAZON,the old one is still working since 2018,high quality recording, need a mic,you need a DAC for APPLE, I WOULD buy an external ones for phones,I will not listen to music without a DAC.
I don't know about Apple, but android is limited to 48kHz output no matter what your streaming service is supplying -- android will simply downsample it. That is CD quality, and that's lossless and good enough for all but snooty audiophiles. There is an app usable on some devices to get around this android limitation. If you're streaming on phones, you will never get true "Hi-Res" playback. And BT simply ruins everything no matter what the earbud marketing devils tell you. Use corded listening devices.
You do get full hi-res on iPhone and iPad with a DAC and wired headphones.

I was paying for TY premiun and Apple music but Im just gunna use TY music and cancel Apple music, not much pointing paying for music streaming twice.
TH-cam music always sounds louder(gain) than Apple Music, i wonder what I’m paying apple for bcz I’ve airpods and TH-cam music sounds always louder and of almost same quality. Why is that? Btw I’ve both service as premium so there’s no doubt about the availability of music in highest format

One disadvantage of TH-cam music, imo, is that your likes, history etc gets integrated into TH-cam which is extremely annoying. It kind of defeats the purpose of having two apps.

Tbh youtube music is good value ngl, if you buy TH-cam Premium then you get free TH-cam music
YT Music biggest advantage: access to user uploaded music from TH-cam, AKA huge selection of indie/underground/non-music industry music.
The only problem I have with it is that it constantly region-locks music, even after it was playable for a long time initially. I've got 25 songs from my playlist that I can't listen to anymore.
This probably isn't a problem in US, but I never had this issue with Spotify.

I'm deep in the Apple ecosystem but TH-cam without ads is keeping me from subscribing to Apple music. The way Apple music handles cloud uploaded music is better in my opinion

Honestly I use both at the moment I will be permanently going to YT music mostly due to apple music nor having literally half of the songs on my yt music playlists, examples are Mr Blue junko yagami, etc. As a vintage listener this is heart breaking loss for apple music.
