- Look what I picked up Scrapping today 1980 MG great condition.
A man followed me home while I was towing a car on a trailer. He inquired about our plans for the vehicle, and I explained that we intended to use it for parts on a couple of cars owned by my neighbor. He responded positively, saying that was exactly what he wanted to hear. When I asked for clarification, he mentioned that if I had said we were taking it to the junkyard, he would have lost interest. Instead, since I mentioned we were salvaging it for parts, he offered to give me another car he had. We exchanged surprised glances, both taken aback by his generosity. He assured me he had the title and everything ready for the car he wanted to give me. Intrigued yet astonished, I provided him with my phone number, and he promised to call in a few days. True to his word, he reached out to me a couple of days later, asking me to meet him at the truck stop at the end of Highway 87 so he could take me to his house. When I arrived, he was there, and we went to his place to pick up the car for free. My neighbor Dave, an MG enthusiast, has been working on it for a few days and finally got it running. This marks our first outing with the car, and it's been an incredible experience. I’m in dire need of a truck if you come across a good one. I’ll come down to get it. I can’t find a good used truck anywhere that’s not a ton of money. I’m a truck driver/ scrapper and don’t have a ton of money to spend. I appreciate any help you can give!
