- The REAL Daunting Deshaun Watson Story (Documentary)
September 14, 1995 in Gainesville, Georgia Deshaun was born to Deann Watson and his father Don Richardson who was rarely in the picture. Deann was a single mother of 4 and Deshaun was the 2nd oldest having 1 older and 2 younger siblings. For the majority of his childhood they lived in a small public housing apartment in the rougher section of Gainesville.
The road started at Gainestown middle school where they ran the same scheme as Gainestown highschool starting at quarterback Deshaun showed his incredible arm and displayed his leadership. Bruce Miller who was the high school football coach would attend the middle school games to get a feel for the talent he was going to receive the next year or so. When he saw Deshaun play he knew he had his quarterback that was going to win them a state championship in the years to come while Deshaun was only in the 8th grade. By the time he finished his high school career he had 13,077 passing yards, 4,057 rushing yards, 63 rushing touchdowns, a state-record 218 total touchdowns.

Got to be my favorite quarterback.. I met his mom right after he won the national championship at Clemson .. She is a very sweet and humble lady .. You can definitely see where it rubbed off on him .. Always wanted to meet him but never had the chance .. Deshaun went to my highschools rival school. Gainesville and Flowery Branch High always had a rivalry but when Deshaun was there it was simply unfair lol. good thing he was only there my freshman year. anyways, although we were from rival schools he was in the same county and area as us, as gainesville and flowery branch were 15 minutes away from each other. in fact the falcons training complex like you mentioned is in flowery branch. anyways we all looked at deshaun like a hometown hero, it’s really sad to see him in the situation he is in now legally and professionally. great video though
