The powerpuff girls are my childhood and this is one of the best shows ever and this one put cartoon network back in the map
The PPG Movie is the most underrated movie ever.

Why? It’s basically just an origin story. Not that I hate the movie, I do like it, but what’s the point of an origin story movie when it’s established in the intro to every single episode? That, and there is one episode that already went into more detail about it (Mr. Mojo’s Rising).

actually i think the New Powerpuff girls still counts as contiutation from the original series since it references events that happen in the original.
jordan porter doesn't mean it's cannon, look at most sonic games, and many of them are different universes and had similar and different design with back stories that have their similarities and differences. They may reference the wrong universe at a different universe, but that doesn't mean it's canon. Same thing goes with mario, call of duty, family guy, etc.

Sara Bellum never gave off a bad message when PPG originally aired, she's an iconic charger in the cartoon. Why would they get rid of her!? Just redesign her if you disliked her figure that much, not that it even mattered.

I legitimately feel bad for Craig McCracken. He's stuck in a contract over at Disney and they still cancelled Wonder, and Cartoon Network is shitting all over his legacy with the Powerpuff Girls reboot.
Of course they got someone from Frederator to work on it, Bob Boyle. I'm sorry, but that man does NOT understand the Powerpuff Girls.
Cartoon Network actually wanted him to work on the reboot but he had a contract with Disney that didn’t let him to, but I mean the reboot isn’t that bad anyways, just add a bit more action and thic lines and the old characters like miss bellum and boom you have the same ppg you grew up with
@@regularman5914 What do you mean the reboot isn't that bad? It's absolutely trash. Doesn't even hit any OG PPG fan nostalgia. Changed the personality of the girls, mostly Bubbles who was always my favorite. They made her into a Mary Sue and snooty, when Bubbles in the OG series has many flaws which made her develop nicely and made a little girl like me at the time feel like I had a connection to a cartoon character.
They shat on the show completely and broke the original VA's hearts. The new VAs are garbage.

@@regularman5914 overall, yes, they are basically the same. however, a lot of episodes purposefully mischaracterize characters just so the plot can go better, and make them actual nuisances, too dumb, or just plain not in character. this is most noticeable with the professor and blossom, they are sometimes dumb as Patrick star, while other times are complete geniuses.
this is fine in a show like spongebob, continuity doesnt matter, and nothing is canon. but here it is jarring af. in another series i would have forgave them but this problem just piles onto the problem list.
but the VAs are fine

I recall having a bubbles and blossom doll, and I drew my own ppg OCs as a child and that was before deviant art was around. Now I am 29, 30 in January my art is inspired by the PPG style as you can see.

If you think The Beatles was the only band that Powerpuff Girls referenced, the band Gorillaz was on a newspaper in The Powerpuff Girls Movie. Maybe they were predicting the future to where Ace was going to be a member of the band, while Murdoc was in jail.

I was wondering why this was so boring then I realized I’m so obsessed with power puff girls I already knew most of this
The movie felt too much like a one-hour special. While the Dragonball, Rugrats, and Pokemon movies were different enough that they could be their own thing (like World's Strongest and Spell of the Unown), PPG The Movie felt more at home at the small screen as it was a superhero origin story.
I loved the original Powerpuff Gils as a kid. I even loved the anime version called Powerpuff Girls Z when I started to binchwatch every single anime I thought could be good. However I don´t like the reboot series.
I'm not pretty enjoyed the Demashita PPG-Z coz it's too flashy for me

The character that I like the most is the evil genius and very smart guy who likes to over-explain things Mojo Jojo! He would go on for a very long time possibly to pad the episode but it added to the character and I liked it very much thank you.
So, the parents and creators were uncomfortable with sexy appearances and the word Satan in kids shows, but they had no problem writing an episode like Equal Fights from season 3. Don't you think this particular episode also can have a terrible influence on kids!?
When they showed the images of the girls with the antidote X at first I thought it was blood but when they mentioned it was cherry flavor I was like okay

Owen Ryder I will! For those of you reading this who do not know, Jake Goldman is a writer on the (very crappy) Powerpuff girls reboot. He wrote that blossom has a crush on Jared. Sounds stereotypical? It gets worse. Jared is actually a self insert of himself. But Jake Goldman is in his thirties, and blossom in the new PPG is 5. (Or 6) Watch shadow streaks video on it for more.
Mamie Slusher I heard about that. I know people have fictional crushes but it's a bug eyed elementary school girl it's so creepy. Poor blossom.

I like how Tom Kenny, instead of saying "You're weird" says "Is that how you talk to squirrels in your spare time?" as if talking to squirrels was normal, and it was just Tara's way that was weird. Oh, you're too much Tom!

I have to disagree with the show being "preserved" after season 6, because seasons 5 and 6 were not as good quality as season 1-4. BUT 2 meh seasons with 4 good seasons is still pretty good! Too bad the reboot came.

The PPG movie had LOTS of promotion, at least on Cartoon Network. It actually had one of the most unique ad campaigns I've ever seen. They had loads of different 15-60 second ads, and they would air a new one every day leading up to the day of release. Some were just short animations, some were little skits, and some were just standard commercials. The ones I remember most are the ones that aired during Adult Swim, with Brak hyping up the number of days until the movie's release.

The movie came out right after 9/11 and critics commented on all the burning buildings in some of the scenes.
Right after 9/11, all entertainment changed direction. Even on Conan O'Brian they had orchestras playing somber music. It was cartoon network more or less alone that kept it's programming unchanged.
