Good call on going after an UZI. I was blessed enough to walk into a store/range in KY. They had a package where i could shoot 3 full auto subs back to back. So i picked an MP5, an MP7, and an UZI. I loved all of them. But the UZI, the stamped, open bolt, tank, was the one that grabbed my heart.
No kidding? I have been thinking about getting a fa recently. And looking at prices I would have to start with an uzi. After reading this I need to go shoot one. It's the one gun I haven't shot in full auto yet. Mp7 was awesome same with the mp5. I loved shooting the UMP full au6o that was bad ass!!!! I am going to try the uzi next. Thanks for the insight!
@christoph9587 Yeah, they were all awesome. The best way i could describe it is that the mp5 and mp7 were definitely "controllable," but with the uzi, I was "in control" the whole time without much effort. The lower cyclic rate, the weight of the uzi and that open bolt slamming forward all worked together and i feel i could hold an entire mag on 6 or 8 inch plate at 10-15 yds, maybe more, no problem. I don't know...me and the uzi just got each other, man. I went in expecting the mp5 to be my favorite.
*best/fastest way to get an Uzi, get a demilled kit and send it to M13. I did that with my type A uzi. Turn time was 5 weeks. Total costs was around $1100*
I purchased my semi-auto IMI Uzi in 1984. At the time I was considering having it converted to full auto, but a few weeks later I started the Form 4 on my fully transferrable HK MP5SD and I ran out of money for a while. By the time I could afford the conversion, the ‘86 ban was in place. So it is still sitting in my safe in mint condition.

I'm more into the surplus scene, but I've been to an open house event over at Scottsdale Tactical and I wound up running into Jim Fuller and had a fairly short, but interesting conversation about AKs. I am definitely due to check them out again, but I'm down to check out the other locations featured as well. My personal favorite shops to check out are Bear Arms and AJI Sporting Goods. Also, Scheels just opened up in Chandler last year and they do carry some Gucci stuff IMO for a big box store.

Love the duty gun challange because I'm Looking into my first 2011. I was going to pull the trigger "pun intended" on the prodigy but I went with a Beretta M9A4 instead and I love it. 10/10 on the M9A4. Waiting on a Beretta S trigger kit and Langdon trigger bar and she will be even more of a tack driver. I have 4 striker fired guns already so now it's time do a 2011 or double stack 1911.
What gun were they looking at in the 2nd store When they were showing all the play in the slide to frame fit, and he said something about it being overpriced at 8k$ ?? Anyone know
The little guy is what we called a sweeper in the armories. He swept that guy probably 4 times on camera looking at one of the subs. LOL more funny than dangerous.
Jake, forget the Uzi kick (cool but over priced)...look more into the Mac11 world with Lage Manufacturing uppers like the guy in the 3rd shop brought up. One of cheapest ways to get into the FA world..value retention is off the chart..and with a modern company in Lage Mfg supporting various uppers.....I would dare say they are the AR SA equivalent of the FA world..

My favorite shop in town is Tombstone Tactical. Excited to visit Scottsdale Tactical this weekend after seeing this video.
Mine too. They always have what I need or can order it. Smooth buying process too.
Tombstone is pretty cool. Decent stuff, unpretentious. Good sales on ammo.

Scottsdale is the more “higher end” which translates to you will be paying a lot more… just like the price of gas in Scottsdale…
Arizona easily has some of the best companies and gun stores in the nation!
Bear arms has often been my little Scottsdale honey hole when it comes to knights/lmt stuff and transferables
I buy all my assault clips there!
