- You've been asking me how I take my French notes for months now, so here it is ! I'm showing you my French notebooks and I'm sharing some tips for studying French on your own. As you know, I started learning French when I was 15 - I've had the same notebook for almost 10 years! That's incredible because you can observe how my notes evolved.

I'm learning German starting from scratch. It's not so easy but I can do it
I took French for two years in high school and still have all my notes! I’m going to rewrite them and continue learning new things that we didn’t get to in school
I’m trying so hard to learn but it’s such a slow process makes me want to give up. And I never know what to try and learn next wish I had someone to help me but nobody that I know even speaks French.
I started learning Italian and I want my next language to be French😁

It's so precious to have early notes, it's like a snapshot of a moment of time.
Also, as another person who processes my learning through writing, I am surprised that years of notes fill only two notebooks. I am writing so much down, that I have filled a notebook in less than two months, but I am also still figuring out a system, it's very untidy, things are written down several times in different contexts, and it is not really a reference as much as digesting my target language. With my next notebook, I plan to comb out the most useful stuff from the first notebook first, but it will probably continue the same.
Thank you so much! I usually write a lot of things down but apart from notes, I had a lot of handouts, workbooks, and course books that I was filling out, too!

@@corason6606 I'm really new to learning french (so if you have any tips please let me know 😅) but if you do a Google search on the best ways to learn French grammar (which I know they have a ton of extra steps to their grammar 😅) you can find really nice sources and apps. Sometimes when I want a specific app but I don't know any, I just scroll though the app store or go to r/learninglanguages or r/french (if I remember correctly) on reddit and they are a lot of help! TH-cam is also one of your best friends if you don't live in the exact area that's speaks the language you're learning. I also use an app called "Apprendre" that teaches grammar with videos, articles, and tests. There's also Memrise. In the end, once you find a good source to obtain information from, it's all about practice! But I would recommend finding someone (whether in real life or on a place online like reddit or discord) to conversate and be corrected on your grammar. I wish you luck!

Oh there were plenty of French learning "apps" for Windows in 2010. I had The Learning Company's Learn To Speak French for Windows 95. It had low res video, electronic flashcard function, and you could record yourself and compare to native recording in app. This was, of course, in the mid 1990s.

Hi Laura, it could be that the students' remarks in the USOS questionnaire were what changed the French teacher. I was also surprised by her 180 and that's my hypothesis 😄

I have a frustrating experience. Not knowing where to begin or hitting a plateau can feel demoralizing and make it hard to hit the books and study like you know you should…Having friends from other cultures makes me more creative. In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships
i’m a malay and my target is to be able to speak 2 additional languages (japanese and english)*i can already speak malay and english fluently…french is a beautiful language bcuz i love its pronunciation 😊

Wszyscy piszą komentarze po angielsku to ja napiszę po polsku haha Chciałam powiedzieć, że kompletnie nie znam francuskiego, w ogóle nie znam francuskiego, ale tak jakoś natchnęłaś mnie do tego, że może jest to odpowiedni moment, żebym zaczęła się uczyć. Mam 15 lat i chodzę do 2 klasy liceum na profil humanistyczny. Uczenie się od zera nowego języka może być ciekawe i jestem ciekawa jak mi pójdzie. Chciałbym oprócz francuskiego nauczyć się też hiszpańskiego i nie wiedziałam od którego zacząć, myślisz że to dobry pomysł, aby uczyć się 2 języków jednocześnie ? Nie wiem czy dam radę hah Ale tak mega mnie motywujesz i inspirujesz, że chyba spróbuję. Bardzo chciałabym mówić po angielsku tak dobrze jak ty. Po prostu kocham słuchać jak ktoś mówi po angielsku i ty pięknie mówisz po angielsku, ale mój angielski jest taki średnio zaawansowany, rozumiem prawie wszystko jak słucham i czytam, ale jak mam coś mówić to mam taką blokadę i brakuje mi pomysłów co mam powiedzieć, brakuje mi słów nawet jeśli je znam. A jeśli chodzi o niemiecki to nienawidzę niemieckiego. Muszę się go uczyć, bo w mojej szkole nie miałam możliwości wyboru innego. Jest to okropne, bo muszę się męczyć z tym niemieckim, a czuję że po prostu marnuje czas i mogłabym w tym czasie uczyć się jakiegoś innego języka, albo mieć dwie godziny więcej angielskiego zamiast tego niemieckiego ... Naprawdę niemiecki to nie moja bajka, ale jestem bezsilna i muszę się go uczyć, co prawda mam 5 z niemieckiego, ale po niemiecku prawie nic nie powiem haha Jak chce coś mówić po niemiecku to od razu mi się nasuwają angielskie słówka i chce powiedzieć to po angielsku a nie po niemiecku. Ale wracając do tematu to chyba zacznę naukę francuskiego i hiszpańskiego i może trochę podszkolę angielski ... Z niemieckim nie będę nic robić, bo po prostu się męczę przy niemieckim, a uczenie się angielskiego jest dla mnie przyjemne ... Podziwiam cię, że umiesz tyle języków. Ja umiem tylko polski, angielski i niemiecki, ale może dołączy do nich niedługo francuski i hiszpański ... Szacunek jak to przeczytasz, bo mega się rozpisałam (moja humanistyczna dusza haha). Pozdrawiam cieplutko jesteś wspaniała ❤️❤️❤️
Hej Wiktoria, mega mi miło, że napisałaś dla mnie mini-esej ❤️❤️❤️ Jeśli chodzi o moje zdanie to spróbuj uczyć się dwóch języków na raz i zobacz, jak Ci idzie - zawsze możesz jeden odstawić na półkę, to nic złego! Ja tak zrobiłam z hiszpańskim w tym roku, a pierwotnie miałam się go uczyć, jednak pandemia pokazała mi, że muszę zmienić priorytety i niestety nauka obu języków zeszła na dalszy plan (musiałam skupić się na pracy, zdrowiu psychicznym i przeprowadzce). Także w razie czego można uczyć się dwóch języków, zmienić zdanie, odstawić je, wrócić za jakiś czas, bo w obecnych czasach ostatnie, co powinniśmy robić, to robić coś wbrew sobie (nie mylić z wyrabianiem nawyku) - także spróbuj!
A jeśli chodzi o angielski to bardzo Ci dziękuję ❤️ Nie wiem, czy mnie obserwujesz na instagramie, ale polecam, bo jestem tak cały czas i dużo mówię, a przy okazji tam od razu dzielę się nowymi warsztatami czy kursami (z angielskiego), które wypuszczam, więc być może akurat coś, co stworzyłam, Ci podpasuje ❤️ Również Cię mocno ściskam ❤️ ❤️

Hi! I just said hello in French at the beginning and then if I'm saying something in French, I'm reading from my notes - you can pause the video and read if you want! I always add subtitles in my update videos but here I speak so little French & you can read from my notes that I didn't do that. Thank you for your comment!

mes conseils d'apprentissage : écrivez une histoire sur laquelle vous pensez parler et penser en français. parfois, cela fonctionne aussi en mettant beaucoup de mots et en les mettant dans la tête.
