I have a problem where I want to click the Xbox button/guide button at the same time I am moving the joysticks but the Xbox button/guide button doesn't register, any idea how I can fix this?
So I've seen something very close to this. when I am holding the xbox button or quickly hit that then quickly use another button I will end up controller my computers audio volumes and playbacks. if you hold the guide button down you can move your mouse with the right stick too. Now, I ended up tracking this down to Steam of all things. when steam is open, it'll setup a controller profile that will override certain features. so if you close out of steam it should work like normal. You might also be able to figure out how to turn that off in steam but I haven't figured that out yet. hopefully that might help you with your issue as well.
look into the program called X360CE it has this capability with it. I plan on making an updated video with both antimicro and X360CE soon to help with both sides of this issue.
Check out the program "X360CE", in there you can select your keyboard as the HID input device to emulate a controller. BE CAREFUL as making keys on your keyboard act like a controller, you'll lose the ability to use that same key as it's original function. So if you make WASD the left controller stick, you can no longer type using the WASD keys. So make sure you leave yourself the important keys for stuff still. Also, your keyboard will go right back to normal as soon as you close X360CE, so if you need to type or your done gaming just close the software and you'll be right back to normal :)
Yes you can, when you are in the key selecting spot, there is a “Advanced” tab that allows you to set up multiple actions under one controller button. I’d also recommend updating AntiMicro to ANTIMICROX, same software, just updated with lots of improvements under the hood.
Yes, I would recommend looking up the software program called "X360CE". In that program you can select your mouse and keyboard as the HID devices you want to emulate an Xbox controller. I spent the last like 2 hours trying to find a program that would allow me to simply switch the keybinds of the d-pad and left stick because it's one of those annoying controllers where the sticks are next to each other and the d-pad is top left and the game I'm playing is not on steam and does not have a way to change controller keybinds. I feel like this video has been haunting me for those two hours... it was right there, all I had to do was click it and I would have had the program that would solve all my needs in an easy and quick package... I want to cry
I don't know if anyone will see this but I need the opposite of this. I need to get my keyboard read as a controller on my laptop because I'm using remote play from my ps4 but genshin impact doesn't support kbm so I'm unable to play it
I'm sorry how do I map the Mouse Left Click to Shoot to the Right Trigger for a Controller? I might've have missed it in the video, I keep rewatching but don't see it
at time 1:30 I bring up a selection of mouse settings when I've selected a button to map. In there there are 3 options called "Left Button", "Middle Button", and "Right Button". those are the selections to simulate a mouse click in the software. So to map "mouse left click" to the right trigger, select the right trigger to map, go to mouse tab, then hit the "left button" in that mouse tab. now your trigger will act as left click :) Sorry that took me so long to get back to you I stopped getting notifications for when people comment! sorry about that.
when you select what button you want the controller to press. there is an advanced tab that you can go into and there is a "toggle" check box that you can select. this way when you push the button it'll trigger a hold command. then when you push it again it'll turn it off. :)
From what I've seen, this is not possible. the pairing button isn't sending out any type of HID command to the computer it's connected to so no program can intercept it's signal. It's more of a hardware state than a software button if that makes sense.
ohh I didn't even think about doing something like that with the software. now I went into the updated AntiMicro called "AntiMicroX" and this worked. What I did was I selected the share button, clicked on PrtSc on the on screen keyboard, then I went to the advanced button near the bottom, then Assignments. once there, I added another keystroke and just hit the windows key. I had "Sys Req, Super" meaning print screen and windows key. I then highlighted both those buttons and clicked the JOIN button to make it one keypress. I can now do screen shots with my share button. One thing to note, I am running AntiMicroX in ADMIN mode so that might give me better access to use those functions. hope this helps bud!
Sorry for the delay but I finally figure it out! using the program "X360CE". You can make a Keyboard emulate a controller. You'll add your keyboard as a device and then select a controller action like "Left Trigger" and then hit the drop down, click record, and make that action whatever you want on your keyboard. You can also add your mouse to this as well. Hope that helps, Peter!
@@PlentyAZach Wow! Thank you sooo, much!!!! 🤯 Especially your effort figuring it out. Truly mind-blowing. I really appreciate it man! I'll looking into it asap. Thanks again! 🙏
Probably late to ask but is their a way to map something to do two things at once? Like for example if I tap my controller button it will think I'm using "F Key" but if I hold it then It will think I'm using "V Key".
Sorry for my late response here! From my understanding of the program there is no way to distinguish between a press and a hold. BUT, If you go into advanced options, go to "Set Selector" then the dropdown and set this to "Select Set 2 While Held". You can use one key hold to trigger an all new set of selections for you to use. The sets are at the bottom of the screen and there are a total of 8. Example: Right trigger is set to right mouse click in set one, Hold Left Bumper to select set 2, now Right trigger is "Ctr+Alt+Delete". You can set up modifier keys basically to allow you to remap the same keys for however many sets you want to control :) I hope this helps Bud!
I accidentally auto saved a profile I made for fnaf 57 freddy in space and now after deleting the app, this still happens despite there being no agmp file in my files and the rstick moves my cursor, the a button presses the z key, and d pad presses the arrow keys, do you know how to fix this issue? It's even effecting gameplay in other games I own
Any controller that you can connect to your PC will show up for you to control with this. I would recommend using their latest app, ANTIMICROX this has a better interface and more controller support 😊 the basics from this video will apply to the latest version as well!
AntiMicro does just that. The controller buttons become keyboard presses. If you are talking about an on screen overlay to show those presses, there are a couple of OBS plugins that do that as well. But, before I go any further, I need to know what you are asking about to be able to help further. At least with how I see your question AntiMicro and it's updated version AntiMicroX, both achieve the ability to remap a controller button to a keyboard press :)
@@PlentyAZach well id like to play certain games on my xbox with better movement that a keyboard would provide even though the game doesnt allow for me to use the keyboard by itself. i looked at the contoller button mapping already included but its only for the buttons on the controller
It doesn't have the ability to do that without some work arounds. There is an option in the "Advanced" option once you'd clicked on something to map, the option is called "set selector". You can set up some modifier keys on your controller to open up a full new set of buttons for you to map. The sets are on the bottom of the screen and you can have up to 8 of them. so you could set "Left trigger" to "Select Set 2 While Held" and then you'd map a full new map of keys to trigger.
@@PlentyAZach this was the one thing i was looking from youtube guides, i need this to play an mmo that doesnt have controller support and as you might imagine, mmos have a ton of buttons

im using playnite. on playnite there is xcloud support. when i launch a game it plays fine but i cant exit back to playnite. i tried joy2key but cant figure it out, im trying to bind start and select as the esc key to exit xcloud. another concern i have is i use playnite through moonlight on my amazon firestick but my xbox controller is connected to the firestick so how would a mapper application on the desktop know what im pressing? any advice would be appreciated.
Great Tutorial. Do you know of any software that works the opposite? I am trying to use the keyboard keys and the actual mouse to control the controller.
Thanks bud I appreciate it! And take a look at X360CE. It’s software that you can bind and HID device like a keyboard and mouse to a controller. BE CAREFUL! you’ll lose access to the original key press once it’s mapped so leave yourself an out. Like if W is mapped to controller left stick forward, you can’t use W anymore. So try not to map over useful hot keys to terminate the program if needed 👍🏻
I dunno what ive done wrong but I just downloaded the newest version of this app to play a racing game in roblox that didnt support gamepads. In the game when I press L stick forward now its still not like holding W down. How do I fix that? I suck at driving with a keyboard, I've always used controllers and this is one of the only games I've found on roblox that's newly updated but not supporting controllers 😭
I want to controll a game requiring a controlled by a keybord, but both "map keyboard to controller" and "map controller to keyboard" refer to emulating keyboard on a controller
hi im playing cod on pc whith controller and have a croshair app that goes off whith mouse click if i map thers a way the game dont recognize the nouse input?
You might be able to run the program as an admin and see if that helps fix any of the issues. otherwise it could be that the movement sensitivity is to low for it to register any movement for the mouse perhaps.
I actually believe that the newest software they released called AntiMicroX has some extra buttons sections that I think work with the back paddles on these types of controllers. I haven't confirmed this but I see there are 4 more buttons in the latest release.
Idk if you can help Im having an issue which is If I’m using the L stick for movement and hit the R stick it disables the L until I move it again even if I’m holding it on a direction You know how to fix ?
Anyone know if this software would conflict with Official servers on Ark Ascended..? Also, how would I troubleshoot this to see what’s making this software and my game not respond to one another if that were to happen?
It shouldn't conflict with any anti cheat type systems but it's be dependent on how you use it. as long as you aren't doing any macros with it in game there shouldn't be any issues. it's more of an accessibility tool than anything. I do not know however any way to troubleshoot the issue you are seeing. one thing I could recommend is running this in Admin mode, that can help at time!
You should be able to, seeing as that’s a device that is recognized as a gaming device. You should be able to plug it in and AntiMicro will see it and label the buttons for you 👍🏻

Hello! I am currently using the Antimicro app on my Windows 11 system, which I use to control Google Play Games Free Fire using my Cosmic Byte Ares controller. However, I am facing a problem while using this app. Whenever I press a certain button, such as RB, another button is automatically pressed, and this button is from the Antimicro controller settings. For example, I may have set the RB button for sprinting and the LS button for jumping in Antimicro, but when I press RB, the LS button may be pressed automatically. Could you please let me know how to solve this issue?
yeah this happens to me too even though I deleted the app. This comment was 5 months ago as of writing this so did you find out how to fix this? If you did could you let me know? thank you in advance.
It should work for any controller that you PC sees as a controller. I don't have a PS5 controller myself but it's worked on all of the controllers I do have. :)
Thanks dude! Is this something that gets by anti-cheat software? Would hate to use it without intending it as a cheat function but get kicked from a game.
You know this is an excellent question. From my perspective, all you are doing is using a “different” keyboard. As long as you aren’t using turbo fictions or the macro functions in it where inputs are no longer human at all with the speed or consistency of the inputs, it shouldn’t be a problem. It’d be like using that hand keyboard I’ve seen around. Just a different input method.
I'm playing Darksiders ii deathinitive edition. It's a hidden gem. But I wanted to just relax back on my couch while player it. But the pc version does not support controllers. Thanks for making this video. I really appreciate it ❤️
You aren't kidding Darksiders is honestly a wonderful game! i'm glad this helped you out to make your own controller support so you can relax, I really appreciate you letting me know that this worked for you Bud! :D Enjoy some great games and great days!
I tried this for game pass on PC for Warhammer 3. For some reason the game only reads certain inputs, I tried using the left stick for the mouse that worked. I used the right for the camera scroll that works. A for right click B for left click but you also need W,E,Z,X,C and V for the game. None of those keys work if I map them to the controller.. anyone else trying play Warhammer with controller??
You might be able to run antimicro in Admin mode to allow more inputs to be passed through to the games you are playing. I had to do that with Darksouls for some reason I remember. That might help!
Question... can you assigned 2 purposes for one button.. ex. Like for mw2. I may want to tap circle for one thing.. but I want to use the same circle button to do something else when I hold the button?
Once you click the link, over on the right hand side of the screen you'll see "Releases" and as of now it is release 2.23. Once you click on the "Releases" section, it'll take you to a new screen that has a drop down called Assets. under that you should see files that end in either ".msi" or ".zip". You'll want to find the one that says "antimicro-2.23-win32.msi" and that file is run just like any other installer you'd normal use on a windows PC, just has a different ending to the file name instead of .exe. I hope that helps Bud!
Yep! I've used this on a lot of games from warzone to fortnite to apex. It's just acting as a keyboard so as long as you can set it up you're good to go!
you would pick whatever button you want to map left click to. so for instance, R2 when pulled should click the left mouse button to shoot. when you select to map on R2 there is another menu inside the keyboard that pops up that says mouse, when you click in there you can now map the left mouse click.
Hi is this possible to apply on a game as warzone where you need to select on which imput you play? I was trying to set something but it was very glitchy. My point is that I want to boost my y button to make my weapon switching faster.
You’d have to force warzone to select keyboard and mouse input setting and then map those functions to the controller and that should stop the game from trying to read inputs like a controller.
@@PlentyAZach Hello I tied it and make it working into some point. Unfortunately this option removes aim assist and increase input lag which is almost unplayable in game like this. Anyways thank you for responding!
Yea there’s always some kind of a trade off and I know having aim assist on controller is very helpful. This kind of mapping would be more beneficial on like PC Minecraft or games that don’t allow swapping of control layouts. Hopefully it could help in some other ways 😊
Wouldn't fornite even on xbox cloud gaming still have controller support? from what I can see on their website they support a very large range of controllers. If there is an issue with the controller not working natively, you could also try running Antimicro in Admin mode to force it to work with other applications as well.
At the moment I only know how you can change the controller to mimic other controller buttons. I have no way of suggesting anything that would let you do keyboard presses on a console. A lot of software that I play around with don’t change how the controller actually works, just intercepts the controller signals and then makes it into a key press. Unfortunately these are then tied to only work on a PC.
Do you have any additional information on what's happening past just shutting down your PC? there shouldn't be anything inside Antimicro that would cause your PC to shut down but there is always a chance that some software just doesn't play nicely with your hardware.
Thx for this video, it may save my project of bus Dashboard to OMSI2 witch is connected as 3 controllers so since you mantion you got it to work with two so I hope i can assigne every single one of those controllers as different set of keyboard buttons. Will check that out tomorrow but meaby someone knows already and can give an answer so i would know whether to keep searching for another solution or stick with this, thanks in advance.
This is a great tool! Too bad you cant map xbox back paddles with it.. other than that its great. Also, im not sure if this will be bannable since a lot of remapper tools are getting flagged for cheating. So be careful and check games anti-cheat before firing it up.
Go to github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro/releases/tag/2.23 and look for "antimicro-2.23-win32.msi" after that is downloaded you can run this file like any window's executable and then you'll be at where I start at 0:20 Hope this helps :)
In the description there is a GitHub site for this app. Once on the first page, on the right side you’ll see something called “releases”. Click “Release 2.23” and then you’ll see a set of assists at the bottom of this page. Download the top one with the .Msi extension and then open that file like you would any other normal installer. If you need any additional help just let me know 😊
Hey dude, great video. Can you get 2 controllers going with anti micro? I understand the app is tricking the PC into thinking the keyboard is your Xbox controller.. with one keyboard I can only get one controller. For context- this is for rugby 08 (modded) where I’m trying to play 2 player. I haven’t had any luck with this. Cheers.
Hey Joseph, So yes you can get up to at least 4 controllers with AntiMicro. When you connect more than 1 controller to you PC, inside of the antimicro application window (I'll say GUI from now on), on the top of the GUI you'll see that there are 2 tabs. Each one of those tabs represents a different controller that is pluged into your computer (or wireless). From there you can set up each controller with the same layout of mappings and have fun playing some modded rugby! If for some reason, when both controllers are connected, nothing is showing up on the top of the GUI, I'd recommend downloaded the updated application AntiMicroX github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox/releases/tag/3.3.2 Download the AMD64.exe in the list at the bottom of that page as that's the 64bit windows installer. It's basically the same program just lots of under the hood updates that make it work better :) Hope this helps you out bud!
I had this same issue when trying Elden ring out. I'd recommend trying HIDHide (github.com/ViGEm/HidHide/releases/tag/v1.1.50.0) to make it so Dark Souls can't see the original controller. Then set up a passthrough application which would be Antimicro. This allows Antimicro to see the controller, but dark souls can only see Antimicro's controller and not the original controller. This seems to be the best way especially on games that do have native controller support.
haha that's a great use of this software! I'm shocked that more people don't talk about this software as it's really great imo. I'm about to start working on a profile for when I'm doing video editing in davinci resolve. Make my life a little easier haha

I don't know if anyone will see this but I need the opposite of this. I need to get my keyboard read as a controller on my laptop because I'm using remote play from my ps4 but genshin impact doesn't support kbm so I'm unable to play it
try X360CE for making a keyboard into a controller. You can add your keyboard as a device and then record any key press to a controller input :)
@@PlentyAZach thanks I'll give it a try
I'm sorry how do I map the Mouse Left Click to Shoot to the Right Trigger for a Controller? I might've have missed it in the video, I keep rewatching but don't see it
at time 1:30 I bring up a selection of mouse settings when I've selected a button to map. In there there are 3 options called "Left Button", "Middle Button", and "Right Button". those are the selections to simulate a mouse click in the software. So to map "mouse left click" to the right trigger, select the right trigger to map, go to mouse tab, then hit the "left button" in that mouse tab. now your trigger will act as left click :)
Sorry that took me so long to get back to you I stopped getting notifications for when people comment! sorry about that.
how do we make it make a button hold
when you select what button you want the controller to press. there is an advanced tab that you can go into and there is a "toggle" check box that you can select. this way when you push the button it'll trigger a hold command. then when you push it again it'll turn it off. :)
Anyone knows how to remap the pairing button on a xbox controller?
From what I've seen, this is not possible. the pairing button isn't sending out any type of HID command to the computer it's connected to so no program can intercept it's signal. It's more of a hardware state than a software button if that makes sense.

You're welcome Bud! Enjoy!
It doesn't work with WIN/PRTSC if you want to map your share button to screenshot.
ohh I didn't even think about doing something like that with the software. now I went into the updated AntiMicro called "AntiMicroX" and this worked.
I want to achieve the exact opposite. Is that possible?
You're welcome bud! I try my hardest to always help out my community and those looking for help! :D take care and happy gaming!
It's even effecting gameplay in other games I own
does it work vice versa?
no, to do the vice versa, look at a program called X360CE and that should help you out bud!
Does this work for only Xbox controllers, or can you get a PS4 or a Switch Pro controller working as well?
Any controller that you can connect to your PC will show up for you to control with this. I would recommend using their latest app, ANTIMICROX this has a better interface and more controller support 😊 the basics from this video will apply to the latest version as well!
theres a feature ive seen on steam where you can map your controller buttons to keyboard keys. i was curious if you know a way to do it on an xbox one
Does this have a shift multiplier function.
I have a question. How can I setup a button so that when pressed causes one action, but when held causes another instead? If that is possible.
@@PlentyAZach this was the one thing i was looking from youtube guides, i need this to play an mmo that doesnt have controller support and as you might imagine, mmos have a ton of buttons

not late at all! or at least not as compared to my commenting speed. this application does work on Windows 10 64 bit machines so you should have no issues with it in COD 1 :)
im using playnite. on playnite there is xcloud support. when i launch a game it plays fine but i cant exit back to playnite. i tried joy2key but cant figure it out, im trying to bind start and select as the esc key to exit xcloud. another concern i have is i use playnite through moonlight on my amazon firestick but my xbox controller is connected to the firestick so how would a mapper application on the desktop know what im pressing? any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks my guy! Keep doing what your doing!

can i remover the left axis input so its just wasd and not both that and the left stick axis, i dont want both inputs?
I dunno what ive done wrong but I just downloaded the newest version of this app to play a racing game in roblox that didnt support gamepads. In the game when I press L stick forward now its still not like holding W down. How do I fix that? I suck at driving with a keyboard, I've always used controllers and this is one of the only games I've found on roblox that's newly updated but not supporting controllers 😭

Does anyone know if this would work with a wii remote? And if i could use the wii pointer as a mouse.
when i try to map my right joystick to my mouse it won't work. Do you have any idea why it won't work??
You might be able to run the program as an admin and see if that helps fix any of the issues. otherwise it could be that the movement sensitivity is to low for it to register any movement for the mouse perhaps.
would it count as third party? cause most games don't allow that... I am just cautious sorry could someone explain this?
how would id do it if in minecraft to go to the next item slot?

Does this work for xbox elite controller paddles?
I actually believe that the newest software they released called AntiMicroX has some extra buttons sections that I think work with the back paddles on these types of controllers. I haven't confirmed this but I see there are 4 more buttons in the latest release.
Can we play Cricket 19 pc keyboard on this methord ?
as long as you can map all the keys to the controller there shouldn't be any issues with it! :)

Im having an issue which is
If I’m using the L stick for movement and hit the R stick it disables the L until I move it again even if I’m holding it on a direction
You know how to fix ?
do u have a software to remap ur controller to keyboard and mouse
check out the program called X360CE :)
Thanks for the video. Is it possible to map a Logitech joystick instead of a gamepad?

If you did could you let me know? thank you in advance.
greatly appreciated.. thx

Does it work for ps5 controller?
It should work for any controller that you PC sees as a controller. I don't have a PS5 controller myself but it's worked on all of the controllers I do have. :)
Thankyou so much bro it helped!!!! a lot best video 🤩
Will it work for valorant?
It's worked on every game that I've done this on. if the game doesn't have native controller support it works flawlessly.
@@PlentyAZach thanks I really appreciate the reply bro

Is it working MW?
i click on the link and i'm so confused where is the download button? lol
I hope that helps Bud!
can you use this with fortnite? i’m trying to use half my controller as a keyboard and just use my mouse normally.
Yep! I've used this on a lot of games from warzone to fortnite to apex. It's just acting as a keyboard so as long as you can set it up you're good to go!
As for the map, how to remap fire button?
you would pick whatever button you want to map left click to. so for instance, R2 when pulled should click the left mouse button to shoot. when you select to map on R2 there is another menu inside the keyboard that pops up that says mouse, when you click in there you can now map the left mouse click.
big help thank you
Hi is this possible to apply on a game as warzone where you need to select on which imput you play?
Hopefully it could help in some other ways 😊
does this work on valorant?
i am trying to use it to play fortnite on xbox cloud gaming and it doesnt work
Wouldn't fornite even on xbox cloud gaming still have controller support? from what I can see on their website they support a very large range of controllers. If there is an issue with the controller not working natively, you could also try running Antimicro in Admin mode to force it to work with other applications as well.
can you do this but have it work on an Xbox console?
are you referring to remapping a controller to work on an Xbox console or an Xbox controller?
@@PlentyAZach on the Xbox console
At the moment I only know how you can change the controller to mimic other controller buttons. I have no way of suggesting anything that would let you do keyboard presses on a console. A lot of software that I play around with don’t change how the controller actually works, just intercepts the controller signals and then makes it into a key press. Unfortunately these are then tied to only work on a PC.
doesnrt work, running my game shuts down the computer when antimicro is running
So be careful and check games anti-cheat before firing it up.
thanks brow, with that i can control my camera ptz with the gamepad in OBS Studio
Yoooo that's a super sweet idea! are you just using hotkey setups to be triggered off the game pad to then trigger into OBS? that's freaking dope!
How about showing HOW to download/install?
Go to github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro/releases/tag/2.23 and look for "antimicro-2.23-win32.msi" after that is downloaded you can run this file like any window's executable and then you'll be at where I start at 0:20 Hope this helps :)
How do I download this app
In the description there is a GitHub site for this app. Once on the first page, on the right side you’ll see something called “releases”. Click “Release 2.23” and then you’ll see a set of assists at the bottom of this page. Download the top one with the .Msi extension and then open that file like you would any other normal installer. how do i install this?

Hey dude, great video.
Can you get 2 controllers going with anti micro?
I understand the app is tricking the PC into thinking the keyboard is your Xbox controller.. with one keyboard I can only get one controller.
For context- this is for rugby 08 (modded) where I’m trying to play 2 player.
I haven’t had any luck with this.
Cheers.
Hey Joseph,
So yes you can get up to at least 4 controllers with AntiMicro.
If for some reason, when both controllers are connected, nothing is showing up on the top of the GUI, I'd recommend downloaded the updated application AntiMicroX github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox/releases/tag/3.3.2
Download the AMD64.exe in the list at the bottom of that page as that's the 64bit windows installer. It's basically the same program just lots of under the hood updates that make it work better :)
Hope this helps you out bud!
You are a good TH-camr 👍👍👌
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it 😊
very helpfull & great video,thanks ;)
I'm glad you liked it! have a great day bud!
I get a spinning screen when i use it in dark souls 3
I had this same issue when trying Elden ring out. I'd recommend trying HIDHide (github.com/ViGEm/HidHide/releases/tag/v1.1.50.0) to make it so Dark Souls can't see the original controller. Then set up a passthrough application which would be Antimicro. This allows Antimicro to see the controller, but dark souls can only see Antimicro's controller and not the original controller. This seems to be the best way especially on games that do have native controller support.
@@PlentyAZach will try it soon, thanks
