I just got into valheim and it’s crazy to me how there’s a game with a whole community just for building. How have I not heard of this game it’s so underrated and fun!
After 800 hours in Valheim, I realized what is so great about it is that it truly rewards the player for their Vision. You clearly have the vision and talent to realize it in your builds, thereby inspiring others. That's what its all about. Hats off to you
Valheim is what I consider the “Goldilocks Zone” for building. Enough of a system to still be intuitive, but the system doesn’t demand you stick to a strict blueprint, and still lets creativity flourish… sooo good! Thanks for the compliment though! Appreciate the support!
This is the most amazing build, i have ever seen in TH-cam for Valheim. This is like straight out of a movie. I dont have the imagination to build something like that myself in Valheim, but it is always such a pleasure to see you build!
i use to think the same thing but sometimes you just need a little push so i suggest picking the type of building you want and just look up different styles eventually your brain will adapt and you will come up with other styles maybe combining two different ones
I'm Asian and this is the most breathtaking build I have ever seen. This is such amazing work that makes me want to build one myself! I love all the Japanese/ Chinese references that you researched on and that circular bridge... I never thought it's possible in valheim and you built one perfectly. Please build more!
The practice of Seiza is not specifically about sitting on the floor, but sitting on folded legs. The practice is done deliberately to numb the legs and was started as a practice amongst the Shogun's court, in order to make the people near the Shogun less ready to attack, as a form of submission, and to prevent attempted assassinations.
He probably has raids turned off. Other than that, you can still have border protection from Gjalls. I was able to position a Ballista at 3 corners in my game on very tall rocks. With black metal missiles, they kill Gjalls faster than they die.
100% agree. I’ve always considered Valheim the “Goldilocks Zone” of building in games. Enough system/structure to be intuitive, but at the same time not limit your freedom, and let your creativity flow! I love it!
Yt needs to implement super likes or something because this is just... *chefs kiss* Smitty, I had this thought while i was watching a MC builder but my biggest let down with some builders is that they dont give their builds feelings of WHY the here, what is this bridge used for rather then just "bridge because it looks good" Everything you put in this build had a reason or a lore centric relation and i adore that! this is a masterpiece and im stoked I found something to binge today. Much love! *edit* : AND THE FACT YOU TEACH US STUFF AS YOU BUILD makes this so much much much more enjoyable. You take history and give it relevance here plus teach us about it. God you are just amazing.
The first video I saw, I was like "another guy doing some random stuff in valheim" and I keep watching and can't stop watching, the landscape and the buildings in this video, everything match up perfectly. Amazing job!
@@smittysurvival for aesthetic purposes, new update you can turn off raids and make all enemies passive, so you’ll be able to build and not worry about your stuff being destroyed. Either way, can’t wait to see more.

Oh wow! Thank you so much for this wonderful comment! I’m so happy you found my channel too :) hearing your appreciation for what I do makes my day! Appreciate all the support!
Hey Smitty, your build is very beautiful and harmonic. The circular bridge is also called a moon bridge or 'sori-bashi' and I absolutely love that style.
Its also known as 月桥 in Chinese, and can be found throughout East Asian architecture mainly in big gardens. Its really pleasing to look at - more so at night when the garden is dimly-lit, making for a serene and romantic atmosphere.
I am so stunned. I love the open world of Valheim and that everything is randomly generated, but seeing this and all your other breathtaking videoes, a big part of me really wishes for a linear type game mode where one could explore all this on their own. You are truly amazing.
Now thats what I called a really well thought thru a well balanced & skilled builder. Im a very harsh grader, & for so many valheim builds video/channel I've seen so far, this particular Video & the builds within definitely earned one of my top 5 builds.
Brother Excellent work. You really pushed the envelope with that bridge. Truly a unique piece. This is easily my favorite Mistlands build to date. Well done!
Having myself placed a number of Versaugh's mega-columns like you did in the main temple, I know the madness that comes with trying to line all that up with every little piece. As always, incredible work Smitty! You truly have the eye for making Valhaim's landscapes work to your advantage!
Yesss you know the pain! 😵💫 I was dreading getting to that part because I knew it was gonna take forever lol. Couldn’t resist though, they really make larger builds look great!
This build is so stunningly beautiful! I like how you solved the roof peaks and gates, while not even using any rotation tool! Wonder what would happen if you did, it opens up even more building dimensions and in your hands, such a tool would probably become even more powerful. Really like all your tutorials and story builds and get excited each time I see a new video.
As a confident builder in this game with over 1400 logged on steam I don't think anything I've ever created can touch the work you've done. What you do is nothing short of art. I'm constantly in awe of what you create and am always inspired after watching one your build videos. Thanks for sharing your work!

how unbelievably creative and joyfull your build is, you builds seem so alive because youre bringing so much care and thought into your buildings looks really really beautiful
Thanks so much! Yes lots of time and consideration go into these projects. So many decisions to be made at every turn but this one turned out really nicely. Glad you liked it!
Breath taking build. It's never even occurred to me that a terrain can be transformed into this magnificent buildings. The best I could do is a rectangular shape with first floor.
Thank you! Valheim really has quite the flexible build system! Allows for some really creative stuff! We all gotta start somewhere, keep working at it!

It's been fun watching you build. Thanks for the inspiration. :) Seiza refers to a specific type of "sitting" (aka zazen) in Japan done on bent knees, usually with a zafu (round cushion) or kneeling / seiza bench (very low, under the hips with knees bent around and feet behind). Dude you literally prevented me from playing Valheim again. Whats the purpose to build my dream asian temple structure when u already built it? Your work is amazing. Gives me all the "Kena- Bridge of Spirits", "Spirited away", "Kung-Fu Panda" and "Jade Empire" vibes. You really nailed it to the fullest!

I considered myself an above average builder with a very modern, eastern and open style. But I haven't built complexes really, and certainly not with a story aspect...this channel is the best building I have seen so far from a story/atmospheric aspect which is what I am after
I relate to and respect your dedication and time commitment. I'm looking at starting a Valheim server with some friends of mine but we'll see. This video really inspires me to make some crazy castle or something. Very cool.
Again you make magic! I really get inspired to continue building in Valheim, every time I see one of you amazing builds! I will not build in wood in the Mistlands, going vanilla and no devcommands…but again, you are a great inspiration! 😊
Dear Smitty, you have outdone yourself this time. I am in love with your Temple and its entire setting. Especially how you utilised the massive sword, and the honey bee hives as fairy structures. You have no idea how similar our ideas are, and my heart bleeds that I am not yet able to show my work. I promise you, you would love it too, and dont worry, though we share very similar ideas, my massive ongoing project (currently on ice) is very different to this. My issue is I need new hardware. I cannot possibly make a youtube video with the lagging framerate of my laptop. Despite the severe lag I had been working months on the same area, and I am close to 30k instances, ergo the lag, aside the fact that my archaic 2nd hand laptop is not even meant for games. The day will come however, and I cant wait. Until then I will ease the wait with your amazing work. What I also love, aside your ideas is your professional presentation. It is relaxing listening to you explain the storyline and the how and why. A great narration with beautiful underlying music. I myself still need to learn how to present myself on TH-cam, and I will certainly look to your presentations for guidance. I cannot wait to show you my work. Until then keep being just as you are, simply awesome.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful message my friend 🙏🏻 I appreciate your continued support, and keep pressing forward with you building! Hopefully you can spread inspiration someday!
That hidden village explanation suddenly brought me back to the days I first saw WOW: Mists of Pandaria, and suddenly understood why the East Asian Architectural Style was used
Every time I think you cannot possibly beat your previous builds, you manage it! This is amazing. I had thought about trying the Spirited Away Bath-house, but it's a lot of work. Plus I'm not playing anything any more due to some health problems. And YT randomly changed my name from Joanne to vyssakell in the comments just to complicate things more, lol

Seiza refers to a specific type of "sitting" (aka zazen) in Japan done on bent knees, usually with a zafu (round cushion) or kneeling / seiza bench (very low, under the hips with knees bent around and feet behind). It's more typically used in monastic settings (zendo) for meditation sitting (shikantaza, etc). Thanks Chiselchip! Always fun to try a unique theme!
Absolutely Stunning, nice work 💪
Thank you! Means a lot coming from a big creator like yourself!
Again you make magic! I really get inspired to continue building in Valheim, every time I see one of you amazing builds! I will not build in wood in the Mistlands, going vanilla and no devcommands…but again, you are a great inspiration! 😊
So great to hear! I take lots of joy in being able to inspire others. Creativity is just years of shared inspiration being applied 👌🏻
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful build also LOVE THE BRIDGE!!😍
Thanks V! Knew you’d like that bridge lol
This build is amazing. Makes me super inspired and excited for free building to add some depth to my survival world
Thanks! Glad I could give some inspiration!
UN-BE-LIE-VA-BLE!!!! How good are you at this!?! That's amazing, by far the best build I've seen!
Hopefully you can spread inspiration someday!
although it's already 1 year ago, thank you for this video that makes me want to play this game again!
That bridge is frickin' amazing.
That hidden village explanation suddenly brought me back to the days I first saw WOW: Mists of Pandaria, and suddenly understood why the East Asian Architectural Style was used
The bridge is just something else.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you liked this one Joanne! Sorry to hear about the health complications :( hope you can get back into playing soon!
Love it, your imagination and creativity is so insane
Thank you! Glad you like it :)
feels like i'm watching Kunfu Panda movie, Good Job most beautiful village indeed
I could watch you build in Valheim until the end of time 😂 amazing work, inspiring and beautiful 👏
Thank you so much! So happy to share what I do with people who enjoy the process! Appreciate the support! 🙌🏻
