  • My conclusion: If you are a budget minded Voron 0.2 builder, the Siboor kit is a great value! It retails for $469, and includes everything you need- rails, extrusions, parts, motors, mcu/controller, bearings, fasteners, hot end, power supply, panels, etc. and even 3d printed parts! At the time of this video, it is unusual for kits to be complete.
    DISCLOSURE: I received this kit from Siboor at no cost. However, I was not compensated for the time I took to build, review, and create a video for (which was over 40 hours). While this kit was free, I offer my open/honest review of this kit and share with you all the issues that I ran into.
    This is a follow up to my Siboor v0.2 Unboxing video. Watch it for a thorough look at the parts.
    • Unboxing the Siboor V0...
    **CORRECTION: I USED A DRAGONFLY BMO, NOT BMS FOR MY HOT END. (Sorry for typo).
    As mentioned in the video, I used all items in the kit with the exception of the clone bondtech gear, and hot end. I preferred to use a genuine Bondtech Gear and a Dragonfly BMO hot end. Keep scrolling for links to the kit as well as the parts I used.
    GET YOUR Siboor V0.2 kit here. If you are in the US, expect about a week (possibly a little more) for the kit to arrive after purchasing.

    Note: the default Gemini Fly v3 image defaults to Fluid. This link explains how to change it to Mainsail, which is what I prefer. Thought it is written for the v2 it is still the same steps for the v3.

    Non-stock parts that I mentioned in the video, that I used instead:

    See the Voron 0.2 sourcing guide for additional links/examples for these parts.

    NOTES:
    This kit does stray a bit from being a 100% "stock" build, according to the Voron 0.2 manual, but it is quite close. The most significant difference is the control board. The stock Voron 0.2 recommends a Raspberry Pi + a SKR Pico. This includes an alternative board that performs both the compute and the mcu function, all in one, by using the Mellow Fly Gemini v3.
    Remixes of my no drop nut mod, and nut carrier mod.

    Great video reviews Greg! Enjoyed chatting with you in the discord also. My build is underway. I bought the bondtech gear and new fans (I just went with the BOM recommended fans for now.). I also purchased a DragonFly BMO, a 40W heater and a 3950 thermistor.

    Hi Greg, thanks to you I ended getting this kit and it's been fun following along and building while watching your Voron 0.2 build playlist. I'm almost finished but am stuck at the CANBUS section. I ended up buying an EBB36 because this Siboor kit has a Gemini V3 board (which has a CAN port built in - I used the pinout diagram on your github page and the EBB36 came with a 4 port JST connector so I just used that for the Hi and Lo).
    Do you have any tips for the software setup to get the EBB36 and Gemini v3 to work well together?

    • @GregsMakerCorner
      @GregsMakerCorner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! I haven’t done anything with the Gemini for Can bus, but ping @radsolutionz in the Voron Discord and he may be able to help you. Best of luck!! Can should work fine once you get it set up with that combo.

    Greg, how does the fly board attach to the panel? I don't see any mounts in the kit. Nice video.

    • @GregsMakerCorner
      @GregsMakerCorner  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are holes on the black acrylic panel and you can use an m3 along with the nylon standoffs to mount it. Best of luck!

    Hi Greg, I’m interested in this kit and I was wondering if you ran into any issues with the Gemini board. You mentioned Klipper and Mainsail come preinstalled, do they include the username and password for SSH in their documentation? I’m assuming they’re using OctoPrint as the hypervisor, so isn’t it “pi” for the username, and “raspberry” for the password? Thanks!

    • @GregsMakerCorner
      @GregsMakerCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the default username is fly and the password is mellow. It’s very similar to setting up compared to a raspberry pi, but it is running Armbian instead of Raspbian. Best of luck if you go with the kit!

    Have u tried and/or reviewed any of their cnc functional part kits? I’m lookin to build a 2.4 print farm and cnc functional parts seems like a good idea…but I can’t find any reviews.

    • @GregsMakerCorner
      @GregsMakerCorner  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have reviewed the machine with CNC parts, but I didn't build it- instead I raffled a v0.2 kit off at MRRF. If you are on Twitter, check out @themitch22 - he has tweeted about it and seems happy with the parts and performance. I have heard good things on the Voron 2.4 cnc parts as well but not built one of those or seen reviews either. You may want to hop in either on the Voron discord, or the Siboor discord to ask around. Best of luck!!

    Does Siboor offer V2 or Trident kits? Very interested in the budget price of Siboor, I just finished my Formbot V0.1, wanted to build a large 2.4 next

      I’ve heard good things about the 2.4 kit and it seems to be priced well, don’t know much about the Trident kit. I believe they may also be working on a Switchwire down the road.

    siboor is getting better and better, but they're still far away from being high enough quality kits to be stocked and sold at 3rd party store's or webshops

    • @GregsMakerCorner
      @GregsMakerCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never had a perfect kit from any other vendor, and I’ve tried a lot of them. The difference is how big of a deal or issue things are and what you have to do to fix issues. From that perspective I have seen them addressing problems, which is a good thing. If you are expecting perfection in a kit I don’t think you’ll ever find it, and at this price point it’s worth having to address a few small issues in my opinion. The ldo kits are likely to be better quality overall with genuine parts, but you’re paying $200-300 more and you still may run into issues, and they will help address just like Siboor. I have seen a lot of problems on the discord lately with the ldo picobilical and skr pico, for example.

      @@GregsMakerCorner
      The formbot v0.2 kit only comes in at 450$ with a high flow dragon hotend. And then about 100$ for the printed parts through the PIF program to ensure good quality, so 550$ for a premium kit and quality controlled printed parts.
      Compare that with the siboor v0.2 that costs 600$ normally, and doesn't feature any premium parts at all.
      You have been wrongly information of you think this kit holds it's value better then the competition.
      I am in communication with siboor, and they are well aware of my concerns and critiques.
      That's the one thing they're nailing right now, communication and talking critique seriously.
      Aa a business stocking siboor is currently irresponsible towards ones customers.

      @greghuber7498 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have built several kits including the Siboor, the Ldo and self sourced. I think it’s a good overall value for someone looking for a budget printer. It doesn’t have the best quality or genuine parts but you will be able to get up and running on a budget, versus other options. For someone budget minded I stand by my recommendation - it is a good kit. If you want the best parts and quality get an LDO. It’s ok - everyone thinks about thinks differently and we don’t all have to agree on the same kit. :)
