I needed to watch this video bro I entered the market with a scalp and ended day trading that trade it definitely wipe out my small gains I needed this thanks bro
I always look at the various trading youtube accounts like they’re my course professors. As far as this account- one of the better professors. Always taps into important elements
Honestly, I like scalping. I don’t like to stay too long In the market. Idky, I feel that the longer you stay in, the riskier it gets sense the market is always unpredictable no matter how much of an edge you have. But trend trading seems reasonable to grow a small account, then switch over to scalping for quick effective gains with higher numbers of contracts. I didn’t know it, but I was actually scalping the market when I didn’t really know what it was to scalp. So far, scalping worked for me, but since my account is small, I want to learn how to gain more profit on a bigger move. You explained it very well!
Why would heavy selling pressure at a key level act as confirmation for going long? Because selling also indicates buying? Because for every sell there is a buy?
I need to see u live cuz its all good on pre tense market activity, not saying its on ur side but its better on how I learn because when you see it in those 5 mins, do I follow the vwap the s & r or the volume lol all of it combined ...
I'm DCAing in AMZTS3 as well. ETH heavier DCA and ALGO. I'm taking your advice and starting Google tomorrow with a 50 dollar purchase and continuing Microsoft and Apple. VTI and VOO on another app and longterm portfolio. Here we go family!
Great vid! Glad you covered these two trading methods. Today I had a scalp and a trend trade, Thanks for making such high quality content. Key concepts.
My biggest issue is identifying whether we are in a trending or scalping market. You usually can't tell until around an hour or longer into the open and then sometimes the bulk of the move has already happened.
I haven't even started the video yet but it's crazy how fast I click on your videos. I've been following you for some months now and I appreciate all the value you bring brother! You're a diamond in the rough man thank you! 🙏🏽💯
Another great video. I’m new to TOS and I noticed that on your chart the volume bars are both green/red showing the buyers & sellers in the candles. Is that a simple adjustment in the settings?
Good luck getting an answer to this. I've seen it asked Multiple times by multiple people, including myself. He never responds. I think he wants to keep it a secret for some reason. 🤔
@@RoyBaron I think in a past video he explained why he charts /ES is bc its active overnight and has more clear S/D zones where as the SPY chart overnight has many gaps and is not clear to spot S/D zones.
So good!! Thank you for explaining, this is something I have been struggling with and realizing through my trading journal. Perfect timing to post this video Carmine, thank you so much🙏🙏🙏🙏
I always struggle on trend and scalp days. Are there good hints on this? I know you mentioned volume... is there an average volume / mins that I can identify that this is gonna be a trend? For example, looking at ES during market hours on the 15 min, I can see typical intraday volume this week per 15 min bar ranges from 30-50k and then spike up on the big moves
Love the comprehensive video! How did you set up your ToS's volume bars split between red/green? I've only managed to make it one solid color (either red or green depending on how the candle closed).
Thanks for the video. Do you have videos about your preference of ITM or OTM. If I was aiming at target supply zone would it be better to play OTM at the level but just have a few days of expiry on them.
He mostly trades futures, where you're nearly always automatically ITM and save thousands on taxes. I'd recommend switching from options to futures, much easier/more profitable...plus no Greeks or stupid PDT rules
Much appreciated Carmine as always lots of knowledgeable information I’m kinda new in the discord still learning a lot with drawing out the supply and demand
Hey Carmine, you said you trade the S&P - but you mention levels in the four digits - you must not be trading the SPY.. why not, and what are you actually trading? Thanks !
I discovered the nuance of scalping and trend trading, and being able to flip between the two pretty recently. So this video is very timely! You do a good job breaking down the details. I always incorrectly thought that you can only be a trend trader or a scalper, never both. But when the market is balanced, as you say, scalping has been good to me when there's no trend. Knowing when/how to switch is key for being able to adapt to market conditions.
@@qingfeng2375 yeah for me it's looking at different time frames and getting confirmation about a trend which is pretty easy to spot whether it's going sideways or directional. I think there's no magic time frames, it just depends on what time frame you're going to use for your entry and then using two other higher time frames. So for me I take my entries and exits off the 1 minute, so I look five times that for my upper time frame, so 5 minutes. And I take that and multiply it by 5 so that gets me 25 minutes but I just rounded up to 30 minute. So one, five, 30 are my time frames. Depending on how you like to trade, this is a good rule of thumb, just multiply by 5. There are several indicators you can use to help you determine a trend, a lot of people use moving averages. I like chandelier exit. Check that one out and see if you like it, it can give you some false positives, but once you get used to it you can kind of spot ranging markets, and trending markets on different time frames. Hope that helps.
this is great. i was literally having this conversation with someone else earlier today. each setup is its own unique setup. its probabilities are diff also. carmine do you trade SPX options? could you trade SPX options based on ur strategy?
New week up as many FOMO in. But the AMZTS3 story isn’t over yet. The only strat that works under all circumstances is DCA all the time with solid, large companies (not hyped ones).
While everyone is focused on BTC, ETH or any top alt coin and playing defensive they are missing on quality projects that are about to be launched on CEX. For example AMZTS3 will hit mainstream soon, 10x-20x quite possible even during this bear market but only few people know about this.
Predicting< a reversal of a trend is risky, and even worse, I believe there is more to this market than we understand currently. When people are losing, they don't aim to increase their average, but that can only change if you have a personal trade guide and signal provider like that of Andrew Martins which has made me almost 9.5 on a 2 BTC Trade capital over the last 3 months. Make the wise decision. Markets fluctuate in cycles that can last anywhere from a few days to several years. In the case of B -TC, it's difficult to make a bullish case simply from looking at the charts.
I've been investing in cryptocurrency but under Andrew's guidance, his strategies are really amazing, I followed his strategies and advice and was able to grow from $2000 to over $12,000.
I strongly advise you against self trading, it's really dangerous and had brought so many investors down, you need someone with the knowledge and strategies, someone dedicated to the crypto currency market business, and I will strongly recommend expert Mr Andrew ..
Trading with an expert is the best strategy for newbies and busy investors who have little or no time to monitor trade.. I will advice you not to stop trading on your own it's very risky. Seek advice of a professional trader and i recommend you Andrew Martins .

You have the best trading videos on TH-cam!
Can’t express how underrated this channel is
What I love most about the supply demand strategy is it eliminates the desire to chase. It's a great feeling to wait for the market to come to you.
yea right
I learned more in one video than anything else. Keep it simple.
You are actually sharing knowledge. Most people just sell indicators.
I was sick of following chat callouts and then I decided to sign up for the a-z trading course. I'll let y'all know how it goes
How is it going ?
Great video, but just wondering, what is that volume study you use? I can't find anything like that on my thinkorswim studies list
