I just finished my tal rasha's set a few days ago...Started playing D2 after about 5 years in part because of your vids! I'd love to play with you one day and learn some stuff, I am kind of a noob and forgot most of what I used to know about the game. I also play on US East ladder.

-enemy lightning resistance will only to apply to the character wearing it. if its on your merc it only benefits your merc.

by the way, conviction works the same with all elemental, however it's not fully working on cold becauae you already have -res with masteries and monsters can ony lose so much resists to an element.... although, it does affec fire and light elemental damage as you stated

you are very right and there is another facet to this: Convictions main use is BREAKING IMMUNITIES, doing so at 1/5 effectiveness (-17% res). Only if those -17% are enough to lower the monster below 99% res, the immunity is broken. ONLY THEN will Cold mastery apply. Note that Cold mastery does NOT affect immune immune monsters otherwise, only with conviction (or lower res curse)!

If you are rich, eth doom with offensive a2 merc in nightmare
If you are not too rich eth obedience with a2 defensive merc in nightmare
If youbare literally poor or starting new, try to mf a bonehew and shoot it on a2 merc defensive nm
Doom here is best choice, merc hits 10k dmg with holy freeze
Obedience is about 6-7k with holy freeze
Bonehew will only get you 2k...

It works the same way with cold. The thing is, pretty much all cold immune monsters have far too high resistances for Infinity to break it. It's why lightning builds are so popular in PvE endgame - light res is by far the lowest among monsters (save for monsters using lightning spells baseline, like Tainted demons and some Souls).

Got a question!
I'm doing a Tal Rasha's Fire/Lightning Sorc. I was planning on using Hydra for fire but I don't know if I should run Nova or Lightning/Chain Lightning. I really want to run Nova but you can't put Nova or Hydra on your left-click, which is really annoying. Am I forced to switch to Lightning (which is on left-click)? What are your thoughts?

The extra fcr isn't really that significant, and the +1 fire skills from magefist helps with warmth. Also mana regen from magefist.

There's a lot of variations of this build. For mfing, the one I prefer is using Tal's ammy, belt, and armor with a P topaz for the mf bonus, and then using isted occy, spirit monarch, shako with P topaz, one mf ring and one raven frost, war travs, chancies, and cta/spirit on switch. I prefer a pure blizz sorc to a hybrid build as well, but for solo mfing a hybrid might be best until you can afford an infinity, fort and eth ral'd andys for your merc to take care of those cold immunes for you.

I found the Amulet on Normal Baal, but even in hell it's very rare. Try Hell Andariel, highest chance of dropping it.
I haven't found the armor either.

Gabriel Azevedo Yes its rly great. i went through hell in players 1 and 2 with my meteorb on single player! max orb max cold mastery then max meteor fireball fire mastery. rest into fire Bolt ;-) u can go And check out my video on my Channel if u want to B-)

yes its good, i tied different hybird builds (blizzardballer, CLorb, CLblizzrd etc) but i stick with meteorb, it working so great in hell, i can do diablo and baal my-self with 4XX mf gear.

although i like watching your vids i disagree. You make a sorc to utilise teleporting. I would have liked to see you teleport and use multi skills. walking @ and constantly having it on your right key as a sorc makes me shake my head if someone would follow up that play style as a sorc. . keyword..Sorc. teleport. on top of that..try nova on hc.. you wouldn't last long, you would eventually make a mistake. but your playing sc cool ok np but evenso. . starting out the movie with "sorc !=background. .u don't charge in..stay away" nova is the sorc go to skill to charge in melee magi style Imo. If you really want distance make a fireball/orb/chainlight sorc instead of nova. with that equip theirs no need to use 2 skills at once because everything already dies.. how much damage do u need to deal vs staying at a safe distance anyway.. u teleport at right key and fkey cl/orb/fb switch when encountering an immunity.. . not everyone has top end runewords also, keeping the merc support out of the picture u will do fine just as a dual sorc without the lower resist aura, ofcourse everything helps..but I'm being realistic..tals armor is easier to get and possible for all beginners. berx2 mal..ist..? Good luck unless you buy it ..or play 15 years and even then not come close. Most builds I see being made by you tubers are unrealistic bought builds which most people just casually playing this game can't get smell or afford. but sure u can trade with people that duped and also bought from bot sites.. If u get lucky with a good deal.👍
