I just had beans. Grandma made them. I think I haven't had home made beans in over 10 years.
You and me, the same, brother. I have a cupboard with at least 10 cans of Ranch Style Beans at all times. I just have to crack one open every time I see this clip. But, I don't heat them up...they're fine like this (from another movie).
@@alianoa36 Watchmen. The scene in which Rorschach breaks into the Nite Owl's house, and starts eating cold beans out of the can. Nite Owl asked if he could warm the beans up for Rorschach, but Rorschach said, "[They're] Fine like this." I hate that cheap taverns don't exist like this anymore. If you walked into any fast food place and ordered as much as this guy did, you just parted with 1/3 of your day's wages.
Inflation. Food may sound cheaper back then, but it's the same back then as it was today. A dollar in the 1800s is equal to 23 dollars today.

Beans and bread sound healthier than most fast food out there.

There's plenty of healthy places for food and good prices you need to actually just search it up anyways
Not a single cell phone in sight. Just people breaking bread together. Living in the moment. Beautiful.
My mom makes beans just like these, with sausage and tomato sauce. I always eat them in a pan with a piece of bread and a wooden spoon. Every time I tell her the Italian version of this line, and every time she fails to catch the reference.
It is becoming a tradition of mine now. Beans, chili, pasta sauce, onions, a bit of oil and vinegar and mackerel fish paste to add more taste and a massive round bread. Settle down and eat this while watching this scene. LOL.

I used a recipe that was based on this movie using diced tomatoes fresh and canned, canned beans, bacon, peppers, onions paired with a loaf of bread to tear... I must say it's probably the most easiest dish I have ever made that tasted absolutely fantastic. 10/10 would make again. (Probably not healthy from the amount of bacon I added tho')
Or you could just get a can of baked beans……

in Italy Few interviews had this scene covered, so basically Terence Hill stated that the jar was actually a normal jar with no effects, and it was of that size fulfilled by that amount of water. For what concerns the bean, He stated that he prepared for this scene basically not eating the whole day before as He wanted to be absolutely hungry instead that pretending to be. Finally the beans according to him were in fact very well cocked and delicious.

All about that scene is perfect and hilarious as well. The Mexican tavern in the middle of the hot desert under the bright summer sun, the food of the house only one to chose but always warm!
