    I love a good cruiser, I love an American thumping V twin. I can't say I'm likely to ever own one but when the opportunity pops up to ride one I rarely turn it down.
    If I was in the market for a stocky cruiser this would absolutely be in my top tier. It has something I can't quite put my finger on, but it's something that draws my eye and always makes me jealous when I see it.

    Nice review thanks, you said no abs on this model but I noticed that there are abs rings on both disc's, are these just for show or because they are generic disc's across the range?

    • @RarefiedRoad
      @RarefiedRoad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Sorry you are right I made a mistake, it's got no rider modes or TC but ABS is a requirement in Europe I believe. Thanks for spotting it.

      @trevorbrown4674 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, The bike is available with ABS although it is not standard on all Scout bobber models. Top end speed is just over 120 mph due to a governor (Speed limiter). I hear that for about 1000 USD you csn bypass the limiter. Not sure if I want to LOL It is fast enough for me :)

    It looks great! It would definitely be the cruiser I'd buy if I had remotely close to 12k! I've owned quite a few cruisers and the key is slow in, fast out. Give it the beans from the apex and laugh at the engine noise, torque and scrapping pegs. There is a lot of satisfaction riding a cruiser, knowing you couldn't possibly go faster, rather than riding a sportsbike knowing that you really only dare give it 20%. Unless your on a track, under 500cc or stupid.

    I know you boys in the UK and he EU get put out by the forward controls and having your knees spread like you are visiting the gyno, but you look pretty badass riding that bike. Plus, a few good good high speed trips will really help you build up those biceps, chest and lower back. Why do you think the Harley guys looked so jacked (hench)? :-) Plus in the Summer having your thighs spread wide funnels air flow to your nuts.

    I would love to see Indian making a Scout R(Scout not the Bobber) which would have the front end from the FTR with duble Brembos up front and a bit more travel in the rear so it would have a bit more lean angle. And that would be a perfect bike for me baysicy a HD Street Rod 750 but with Indian Scout 1200 looks FTR front end and a bit more lean angle! I recon it would be epick!

    All over at 6000rpm? Did you actually ride the thing? Peak torque is at 6000 rpm but peak HP doesn't come in all the way up to 8,100rpm. What I actually like about this bike is that coming from sports machines the engine revs and revs much your used to, something like a Harley is mostly low down so you have to short shift which can feel odd and different. Take this bike out again when it's hot and dry, rev the balls off it and its super super fun.
