    Jesus is the first big leaguer to keep his watchers for a very long game and then feed them on a hillside stadium. A Grand Slam for eternity.

    “Shortly before dawn, Jesus went out to them, walking on the water. When the disciples saw him walking towards them across the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost!!!” they shrieked, and cried out in fear.
    But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I! Don’t be afraid!”
    “Lord... if it’s you...” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
    “Come” he said.
    Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But Peter took his eyes off Jesus and when he saw the wind and the waves he was afraid and all at once he began to sink and he cried out in a panic “Lord! save me!!!”
    Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him and pulled him up. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
    And when they climbed into the boat, the wind and the waves died down and the sea was suddenly calm. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God!”
    - The Holy Bible, The Book Of Matthew, Chapter 14, Verses 25-32

      I love to think of Peter as one who couldn't NOT remain stoic whenever Jesus was around. I see Peter as propelling himself out of the boat pushed by an emotional zeal he didn't understand, but went with the Spiritual flow, and he sunk. I can hear my old church laughing at me in the past for the same unbridled zeal, BUT ... but as foolish as Peter and I may have looked we both got to walk back to the the pew sitters with Jesus by our side.

    I've already watched this episode numerous times, but watching it as you did, hearing and watching your reactions, made me feel it as deeply as I did the 1st time I watched it. It's an amazing episode, isn't it! I'm with you, Rabbi Shmuel was a pleasant surprise

      Yess, this episode was so good. Shmuel really surprised me. I can't wait for the next season!

      @peter25681 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shmuel fit in what Jesus said, I would rather you be hot or cold against me, not lukewarm. Shmuel like Saul (Paul) was fervent, but misguided in his zeal for the Lord. The other pharisees were hot for promotion - exception of Joseph.

    I am way late to the party, but I loved your video.
    People always talk about how hard it is to have faith and believe. The Apostles were there, with Jesus, watched the miracles, and STILL had doubts. Some people say, "show me proof, and I will believe."
    Yet people that WITNESSED the miracles lost faith, or doubted.
    We are the soil in the grain story. Are we shallow and grasp faith quickly only to let it wither away? Does our faith sprout among the thorns and get choked out by the devil? Or are we deep soil and sprout strong faith?
    I pray I am deep soil.
    Anyway, great reaction to an amazing show. The Chosen is truly a gift.

    Thank you for sharing, The Chosen. The Pharisees were so invested in making sure that people followed the Torah because they thought the Messiah would not come until they were all doing just that. They had mostly followed different schools of thought put forth by mainly two Rabbis and really thought they were helping Israel. They were doing as we have sometimes done in our day., putting some of mans thoughts into their teaching. I think Schmuel, and what he believed prior to this, will be shaken to the core, after he actually spends some time with Jesus.
    Which is true of us even today.
    I think there are some surprises coming in season 4. The Centurion with the sick servant and Josef being transferred to the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem. We will find out that he is, I believe, originally from Arimathea.

    I have been looking to see what people think of this series - The Chosen. I'm not sure what structure really works for reaction videos. Until now I haven't watched all that many. There is SO much that could be said... but we spend most of our time watching the show... so I find myself skipping through to find your comments (when you appear full screen). In order to hear YOUR comments though I have to raise the volume to max... but then when it goes back to the show it about blasts out my ear drums. Not sure how to fix this. But really I wanted to tell you that somehow I'd like to her more of what you think and your comments. I'm not sure how best to do this, but thank you for doing it.

    You questioned how the religious leaders could see all Jesus was doing and not believe he was the Messiah. I thought the same thing but I since learned that at that time it was really common to have false prophets and people claiming to be the Messiah. Not that I am defending those religious leaders, but it makes it more understandable that they wouldn’t be receptive because Jesus wasn’t a one time person claiming to be the Messiah. But you are right. If they had listened to his words and saw the miracles he performed, they should have believed.

    I just wanted to add that opening of minds comes from opening their hearts. It is why jesus told John cold unyielding hearts.
    Jesus tells us that where thoughts come from and that is our hearts, and your hearts are dark then how great is that darkness. Jesus is that light and out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

    I wanted to say that to them the pharisees missed the message of salvation but to us it is simple. This is because we are spiritual beings. They are of the flesh.
    Read galatians 4; 21-31 to understand this.
    Because of this jesus spoke in parables so that you may seek the answer and understanding and the answers you receive. These are the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. Jesus if you remember told Nicodemus, " how can i tell abour heavenly things when i tell about worldly things and you do not understand". Those that are of the flesh are of the bond woman and those of the promise (faith/spiritual) are of the freewoman.
    Jesus told this to his disciples after these parables were taught and jesus told them plainly what i just told you.
    This is why today we see division with woke and non woke views and how they dont understand the heavenly things we do because they are of the flesh. Thats why jesus told Nicodemus you must be born again if spirit and water. It why jesus told the woman at the well, the drink that i give him/her will become a spring that never goes dry and will never thrist again. God is the source of that water.

    Daaaang you know something… simon is so confident in his “faith” he believes Jesus will allow him to walk on water, then Jesus is like “WHY ARE YOU UPSET?” how little faith we have, even in hard times we choose to be upset instead of happy & grateful (TRUE FAITH) !!!! ✝️

    • @AmarachiNnadozie
      @AmarachiNnadozie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! But thank God for His grace! The more we grow in our walk, the more faith we have even in the hard times
