Our Basset hound is exactly the same, 35kgs lap dog, loves to go and fetch you a “gift” even if you’ve just been out for 20mins! Dogs what a gift to us, couldn’t be without our boy. Those first two my sweet boxer (who is now playing heaven 🥲😇) Did the first two things aswell, We would say in a hushed tone "who's coming..." And he would immediately shoot to the window to check and then the door to greet who ever was coming back from work or school. Truly nothing will cheer up a bad day at work like a happy dog greeting you when you return home 🥰. God i miss my little brother, but i am greatfull for the 8 years of joy he was with us.
